1 Now these were the ones who came to David at Ziklag while he was still restrained from before Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, helping in the war,
1 Estes, porém, são os que vieram a Davi, a Ziclague, estando ele ainda escondido, por causa de Saul, filho de Quis; e eram dos valentes que o ajudaram na guerra.
2 armed with bows, using both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows with the bow; Sauls brethren from Benjamin.
2 Estavam armados de arco, e usavam tanto da mão direita como da esquerda em atirar pedras e em atirar flechas com o arco; eram dos irmãos de Saul, benjamitas.
3 The chief: Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet the sons of Azmaveth; Berachah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
3 Aiezer, o chefe, e Joás, filho de Semaa, o gibeatita, e Jeziel e Pelete, filhos de Azmavete; e Beraca, e Jeú, o anatotita,
4 Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;

8 Some Gadites had separated over to David at the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men of war fit for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as gazelles on the mountains:
8 E dos gaditas se desertaram para Davi, ao lugar forte no deserto, valentes, homens de guerra para pelejar, armados com escudo e lança; e seus rostos eram como rostos de leões, e ligeiros como corças sobre os montes:
9 Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
10 Mismana, o quarto; Jeremias, o quinto;
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
12 Joanã, o oitavo; Elzabade, o nono;
13 Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbanai the eleventh.

14 These were from the sons of Gad, chiefs of the army; the least was over a hundred, and the greatest was over a thousand.
14 Estes, dos filhos de Gade, foram os capitães do exército; o menor tinha o encargo de cem homens e o maior de mil.
15 These are the ones who crossed over the Jordan in the first month, when it was overflowing all its banks; and they put to flight all those in the valleys, to the east and to the west.
15 Estes são os que passaram o Jordão no primeiro mês, quando ele transbordava por todas as suas ribanceiras, e fizeram fugir a todos os dos vales ao oriente e ao ocidente.
16 And some of the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold.
16 Também alguns dos filhos de Benjamim e de Judá vieram a Davi, ao lugar forte.
17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see it and judge.
17 E Davi lhes saiu ao encontro, e lhes falou, dizendo: Se vós vindes a mim pacificamente e para me ajudar, o meu coração se unirá convosco; porém, se é para me entregar aos meus inimigos, sem que haja deslealdade nas minhas mãos, o Deus de nossos pais o veja e o repreenda.
18 And when the Spirit had clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, he said: We are yours, O David; we are on your side, O son of Jesse. Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers. For your God helps you. So David received them, and assigned them to the chiefs among the troops.
18 Então veio o espírito sobre Amasai, chefe de trinta, e disse: Nós somos teus, ó Davi, e contigo estamos, ó filho de Jessé! Paz, paz contigo, e paz com quem te ajuda, pois que teu Deus te ajuda. E Davi os recebeu, e os fez capitães das tropas.
19 Some from Manasseh had fallen out to David when he was going with the Philistines to battle against Saul; but they did not help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after taking counsel, saying, He may fall out to his master Saul with our heads.
19 Também de Manassés alguns passaram para Davi, quando veio com os filisteus para a batalha contra Saul; todavia Davi não os ajudou, porque os príncipes dos filisteus, tendo feito conselho, o despediram, dizendo: À custa de nossas cabeças passará a Saul, seu senhor.
20 When he went to Ziklag, those of Manasseh who had fallen out to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai; heads of thousands from Manasseh.
20 Voltando ele, pois, a Ziclague, passaram-se para ele, de Manassés, Adna, Jozabade, Jediael, Micael, Jozabade, Eliú, e Ziletai, capitães de milhares dos de Manassés.
21 And they helped David against the bands of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor, and they were commanders in the army;
21 E estes ajudaram a Davi contra aquela tropa, porque todos eles eram heróis poderosos, e foram capitães no exército.
22 for at that time they came to David day by day to help him, until it was a great camp, like the host of God.
22 Porque naquele tempo, dia após dia, vinham a Davi para o ajudar, até que se fez um grande exército, como o exército de Deus.
23 These were the numbers of the divisions that were equipped for war, who had come to David at Hebron to turn over the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the mouth of Jehovah:
23 Ora este é o número dos chefes armados para a peleja, que vieram a Davi em Hebrom, para transferir a ele o reino de Saul, conforme a palavra do Senhor.
24 of the sons of Judah bearing shield and spear, six thousand eight hundred armed for war;
24 Dos filhos de Judá, que traziam escudo e lança, seis mil e oitocentos, armados para a peleja;
25 of the sons of Simeon, mighty men of valor fit for war, seven thousand one hundred;
25 Dos filhos de Simeão, homens poderosos para pelejar, sete mil e cem;
26 of the sons of Levi four thousand six hundred;
26 Dos filhos de Levi, quatro mil e seiscentos.
27 Jehoiada, the leader of the Aaronites, and with him three thousand seven hundred;
27 Joiada, que era o líder dos de Arão, e com ele três mil e setecentos.
28 Zadok, a young man mighty in valor, and from his fathers house twenty-two commanders;
28 E Zadoque, sendo ainda jovem, homem poderoso, com vinte e dois capitães da família de seu pai;
29 of the sons of Benjamin, kindred of Saul, three thousand (for until then the greater number of them were keeping the charge of guarding the house of Saul);
29 E dos filhos de Benjamim, irmãos de Saul, três mil; porque até então havia ainda muitos deles que eram pela casa de Saul.
30 of the sons of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men throughout the house of their fathers;
30 E dos filhos de Efraim, vinte mil e oitocentos homens poderosos, homens de nome nas casas de seus pais.
31 of the half-tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who had been designated by name to come and make David king;
31 E da meia tribo de Manassés, dezoito mil, que foram apontados pelos seus nomes para virem fazer rei a Davi.
32 of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;
32 E dos filhos de Issacar, duzentos de seus chefes, destros na ciência dos tempos, para saberem o que Israel devia fazer, e todos os seus irmãos seguiam suas ordens.
33 of Zebulun there were fifty thousand who could go out to war and set the battle in array with all implements of war, to help with undivided heart;
33 De Zebulom, dos que podiam sair no exército, cinqüenta mil ordenados para a peleja com todas as armas de guerra; como também destros para ordenarem uma batalha, e não eram de coração dobre.
34 of Naphtali one thousand commanders, and with them thirty-seven thousand with shield and spear;
34 E de Naftali, mil capitães, e com eles trinta e sete mil com escudo e lança.
35 of the Danites who could draw up in battle formation, twenty-eight thousand six hundred;
35 E dos danitas, ordenados para a peleja, vinte e oito mil e seiscentos.
36 of Asher, those who could go out to war and draw up in battle formation, forty thousand;
36 E de Aser, dos que podiam sair no exército, para ordenarem a batalha, quarenta mil.
37 of the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, from the other side of the Jordan, one hundred and twenty thousand armed for battle with every kind of implement of war.
37 E do outro lado do Jordão, dos rubenitas e gaditas, e da meia tribo de Manassés, com toda a sorte de instrumentos de guerra para pelejar, cento e vinte mil.
38 All these men of war, who could keep ranks, came to Hebron with a perfect heart, to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
38 Todos estes homens de guerra, postos em ordem de batalha, vieram a Hebrom, com corações decididos, para constituírem a Davi rei sobre todo o Israel; e também todo o restante de Israel tinha o mesmo coração para constituir a Davi rei.
39 And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking, for their brethren had prepared for them.
39 E estiveram ali com Davi três dias, comendo e bebendo; porque seus irmãos lhes tinham preparado as provisões.
40 Moreover those who were near to them, from as far away as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing food on donkeys and camels, on mules and oxen; provisions of flour and cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, wine and oil and oxen and sheep abundantly, for there was joy in Israel.
40 E também seus vizinhos de mais perto, até Issacar, e Zebulom, e Naftali, trouxeram, sobre jumentos, e sobre camelos, e sobre mulos, e sobre bois, pão, provisões de farinha, pastas de figos e cachos de passas, e vinho, e azeite, e bois, gado miúdo em abundância; porque havia alegria em Israel.
