¹ Senhor, não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.

² Lord, repreue thou not me in thi stronge veniaunce; nether chastice thou me in thin ire.

² Tem compaixão de mim, Senhor, porque sou fraco; sara-me, Senhor, porque os meus ossos estão perturbados.

³ Lord, haue thou merci on me, for Y am sijk; Lord, make thou me hool, for alle my boonys ben troblid.

³ Também a minha alma está muito perturbada; mas tu, Senhor, até quando?...

⁴ And my soule is troblid greetli; but thou, Lord, hou long?

⁴ Volta-te, Senhor, livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua misericórdia.

⁵ Lord, be thou conuertid, and delyuere my soule; make thou me saaf, for thi merci.

⁵ Pois na morte não há lembrança de ti; no Seol quem te louvará?

⁶ For noon is in deeth, which is myndful of thee; but in helle who schal knouleche to thee?

⁶ Estou cansado do meu gemido; toda noite faço nadar em lágrimas a minha cama, inundo com elas o meu leito.

⁷ Os meus olhos estão consumidos pela mágoa, e enfraquecem por causa de todos os meus inimigos.

⁸ Myn iye is disturblid of woodnesse; Y waxe eld among alle myn enemyes.

⁸ Apartai-vos de mim todos os que praticais a iniquidade; porque o Senhor já ouviu a voz do meu pranto.

⁹ Alle ye that worchen wickidnesse, departe fro me; for the Lord hath herd the vois of my wepyng.

⁹ O Senhor já ouviu a minha súplica, o Senhor aceita a minha oração.

¹⁰ The Lord hath herd my bisechyng; the Lord hath resseyued my preier.

¹⁰ Serão envergonhados e grandemente perturbados todos os meus inimigos; tornarão atrás e subitamente serão envergonhados.

¹¹ Alle my enemyes be aschamed, and be disturblid greetli; be thei turned togidere, and be thei aschamed ful swiftli.
