1 The `title of the hundrid and eiyte and fourtithe salm. Alleluya. Ye of heuenes, herie the Lord; herie ye hym in hiye thingis.
1 Aleluia ! Todos os que estão nos céus, louvem o
2 Alle hise aungels, herie ye hym; alle hise vertues, herye ye hym.
2 Louvem o Senhor , todos os seus anjos, todos os seus exércitos celestiais!
3 Sunne and moone, herie ye hym; alle sterris and liyt, herie ye hym.
3 Sol e lua, louvem o Senhor ! Todas as estrelas brilhantes, louvem a Deus!
4 Heuenes of heuenes, herie ye hym; and the watris that ben aboue heuenes,
4 Que os mais altos céus o louvem e também as águas que estão acima do céu !
5 herie ye the name of the Lord.
5 Que todos eles louvem o Senhor , pois ele deu uma ordem, e eles foram criados!
6 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt. He ordeynede tho thingis in to the world, and in to the world of world; he settide a comaundement, and it schal not passe.
6 Ele mandou, e foram firmados para sempre nos seus lugares; eles não podem desobedecer.
7 Ye of erthe, herie ye the Lord; dragouns, and alle depthis of watris.
7 Louve o Senhor , tudo o que existe na terra: monstros do mar e todas as profundezas do oceano!
8 Fier, hail, snow, iys, spiritis of tempestis; that don his word.
8 Louvem o Senhor , relâmpagos e chuva de pedra, neve e nuvens, e ventos fortes, que obedecem à sua ordem!
9 Mounteyns, and alle litle hillis; trees berynge fruyt, and alle cedris.
9 Louvem o Senhor , colinas e montanhas, florestas e árvores que dão frutas!
10 Wielde beestis, and alle tame beestis; serpentis, and fetherid briddis.
10 Louvem o Senhor , todos os animais, mansos e selvagens! Louvem o e animais que se arrastam pelo chão!
11 The kingis of erthe, and alle puplis; the princis, and alle iugis of erthe.
11 Louvem o Senhor , reis e todos os povos, governantes e todas as outras autoridades!
12 Yonge men, and virgyns, elde men with yongere, herie ye the name of the Lord;
12 Louvem o Senhor , moços e moças, velhos e crianças!
13 for the name of hym aloone is enhaunsid.
13 Que todos louvem a Deus, o Senhor , porque ele é superior a todos os outros deuses! A sua
14 His knouleching be on heuene and erthe; and he hath enhaunsid the horn of his puple. An ympne be to alle hise seyntis; to the children of Israel, to a puple neiyynge to hym.
14 Ele fez com que a sua nação ficasse cada vez mais forte, e por isso o louvam todos os seus o povo de Israel, a quem ele tanto ama. Aleluia!
