1 And Y, britheren, myyte not speke to you as to spiritual men, but as to fleischli men;
1 E eu, irmãos, não vos pude falar como a espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a meninos em Cristo.
2 as to litle children in Crist, Y yaf to you mylk drynke, not mete; for ye myyten not yit, nether ye moun now, for yit ye ben fleischli.
2 Com leite vos criei e não com manjar, porque ainda não podíeis, nem tampouco ainda agora podeis;
3 For while strijf is among you, whether ye ben not fleischli, and ye gon aftir man?
3 porque ainda sois carnais, pois, havendo entre vós inveja, contendas e dissensões, não sois, porventura, carnais e não andais segundo os homens?
4 For whanne summe seith, Y am of Poul, another, But Y am of Apollo, whethir ye ben not men? What therfor is Apollo, and what Poul?
4 Porque, dizendo um: Eu sou de Paulo; e outro: Eu, de Apolo; porventura, não sois carnais?
5 Thei ben mynystris of hym, to whom ye han bileuyd; and to ech man as God hath youun.
5 Pois quem é Paulo e quem é Apolo, senão ministros pelos quais crestes, e conforme o que o Senhor deu a cada um?
6 Y plauntide, Apollo moystide, but God yaf encreessyng.
6 Eu plantei, Apolo regou; mas Deus deu o crescimento.
7 Therfor nether he that plauntith is ony thing, nethir he that moistith, but God that yiueth encreessyng.
7 Pelo que nem o que planta é alguma coisa, nem o que rega, mas Deus, que dá o crescimento.
8 And he that plauntith, and he that moistith, ben oon; and ech schal take his owne mede, aftir his trauel.
8 Ora, o que planta e o que rega são um; mas cada um receberá o seu galardão, segundo o seu trabalho.
9 For we ben the helperis of God; ye ben the erthetiliyng of God, ye ben the bildyng of God.
9 Porque nós somos cooperadores de Deus; vós sois lavoura de Deus e edifício de Deus.
10 Aftir the grace `of God that is youun to me, as a wise maistir carpenter Y settide the foundement; and another bildith aboue. But ech man se, hou he bildith aboue.
10 Segundo a graça de Deus que me foi dada, pus eu, como sábio arquiteto, o fundamento, e outro edifica sobre ele; mas veja cada um como edifica sobre ele.
11 For no man may sette another foundement, outtakun that that is sett, which is Crist Jhesus.
11 Porque ninguém pode pôr outro fundamento, além do que já está posto, o qual é Jesus Cristo.
12 For if ony bildith ouer this foundement, gold, siluer, preciouse stoonys, stickis, hey, or stobil, euery mannus werk schal be open;
12 E, se alguém sobre este fundamento formar um edifício de ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno, palha,
13 for the dai of the Lord schal declare, for it schal be schewid in fier; the fier schal preue the werk of ech man, what maner werk it is.
13 a obra de cada um se manifestará; na verdade, o Dia a declarará, porque pelo fogo será descoberta; e o fogo provará qual seja a obra de cada um.
14 If the werk of ony man dwelle stille, which he bildide aboue, he schal resseyue mede.
14 Se a obra que alguém edificou nessa parte permanecer, esse receberá galardão.
15 If ony mannus werk brenne, he schal suffre harm; but he schal be saaf, so netheles as bi fier.
15 Se a obra de alguém se queimar, sofrerá detrimento; mas o tal será salvo, todavia como pelo fogo.
16 Witen ye not, that ye ben the temple of God, and the spirit of God dwellith in you?
16 Não sabeis vós que sois o templo de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós?
17 And if ony defoulith the temple of God, God schal leese hym; for the temple of God is hooli, which ye ben.
17 Se alguém destruir o templo de Deus, Deus o destruirá; porque o templo de Deus, que sois vós, é santo.
18 No man disseyue hym silf. If ony man among you is seyn to be wiys in this world, be he maad a fool, that he be wijs.
18 Ninguém se engane a si mesmo: se alguém dentre vós se tem por sábio neste mundo, faça-se louco para ser sábio.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foli anentis God; for it is writun, Y schal catche wise men in her fel wisdom;
19 Porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura diante de Deus; pois está escrito: Ele apanha os sábios na sua própria astúcia.
20 and eft, The Lord knowith the thouytis of wise men, for tho ben veyn.
20 E outra vez: O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios, que são vãos.
21 Therfor no man haue glorie in men.
21 Portanto, ninguém se glorie nos homens; porque tudo é vosso:
22 For alle thingis ben youre, ethir Poul, ether Apollo, ether Cefas, ether the world, ether lijf, ether deth, ether thingis present, ethir thingis to comynge; for alle thingis ben youre,
22 seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Cefas, seja o mundo, seja a vida, seja a morte, seja o presente, seja o futuro, tudo é vosso,
23 and ye ben of Crist, and Crist is of God.
23 e vós, de Cristo, e Cristo, de Deus.
