2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 U̱n su̱ge̱-de u̱n kaane̱ ma, yo depe̱ à, no̱m no̱ aye̱we̱-to̱ u̱r-hur u̱n gwu̱gwe̱r-mo̱ u̱r-hi, komo m-tetemb ne̱. Go̱n ka aye̱we̱-to̱ ro̱ m-go̱s, komo Shir ro̱ to̱ m-hwo̱ u̱n be-u̱r kashi.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 U̱n go̱ u̱n kà co̱w-yo ne'a-ne̱ so̱-ye̱ ye̱ n-ga ye̱ e̱sse̱ sakto̱-o̱ u̱n ye̱ be-de Shir à, kume̱ hi u̱n de u̱n ye̱ u̱t-ayewe̱. Ye̱ ya'ag campo̱ u̱n ye̱ ne̱ u̱t-go̱s.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 U̱ntu̱n Saratu, wu̱ nome̱ Ibrahi o-do̱ro̱tte̱ komo wu̱ eeg wu̱ “Rwo̱o̱g-o re” à. No̱ ma yakar-ye̱ u̱n wu̱ ye̱, u̱rege̱ no̱ ro̱ m-nom yo depe̱ à komo no̱ yage̱ ko̱ yo ke rii-yo 'ye no̱ o-gye̱r á.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 U̱r-ko̱m, kap she'et no̱ m-so̱k ne̱ u̱n o̱r no̱ ne̱ ne̱, ko̱ wu̱ ke wu̱ hyen o̱r u̱n wu̱ rii-yo m-was. No̱ hyen u̱r-'wo̱n u̱n gwu̱gwe̱r-mo̱ u̱r-hi ne̱.

9 No̱ to̱p me̱n-u̱t jaas-to̱ u̱n me̱n-u̱t jaas-to̱ ko̱ u̱r-re̱e̱b n-te̱ u̱r-re̱e̱b á, se̱ de̱ no̱ ko̱ne̱ go̱ u̱n ká ne̱t-wu̱ o-kwu̱m, remen kááne̱ o̱ Shir egte̱ no̱ wu̱ ye'et no̱ o-kwu̱m.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Ma-to̱ Shir ze̱e̱g,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Wu̱ ho'os co̱w-u̱s yo̱-se
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Wan-Ko̱yan ro̱ u̱n 'er-de u̱n ye̱ no̱me̱ kashi u̱n rii à,
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 U̱rege̱ no̱ m-se̱nge̱ no̱ nomot rii-yo u̱r-bon, hun-ne̱ de̱e̱n a ho̱gu̱sse̱ no̱ m-hoog á.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Amba myet u̱n kaane̱ ne̱, u̱rege̱ no̱ u̱n swo̱ u̱r-ko̱o̱b remen no̱ m-no̱m u̱n rii-yo u̱r-bon, Shir a 'ye no̱ o-kwu̱m. “Taase no̱ ho̱ge̱ gye̱r-o̱ u̱n yo ye̱ ro̱ m-gye̱r à, ko̱ komo no̱ was u̱n yo hun-ne̱ ze̱e̱ ye̱a nom ne̱ á.”
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Ya no̱ Kiristi u̱r-be u̱n hur-u̱r no̱ komo wu̱ warag Go̱s-wu̱ wu̱ u̱n ho̱o̱g-m no̱. She'et no̱ zo̱ngse̱ no̱ shest da-o̱ wu̱ ken wu̱ citu̱ no̱ ma-to̱ u̱n sakto̱-o no̱. Amba no̱m no̱ kaane̱ u̱n gwu̱gwe̱r-mo̱ u̱r-hi u̱n 'ya m-se̱k ne̱.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Amba shas no̱ ye̱ u̱n gwegwe̱r-mo̱ u̱r-hi, u̱t-go̱s ne̱. No̱m no̱ rem-se u̱r-bon bo̱ hur-u̱t no̱a kaps no̱ á. No̱ jar o-jar no̱ nom rii-yo ba u̱r-bon á, remen ka ye̱ ro̱ no̱ m-tan o-yo̱ yo à, ye̱ hyenet m-'e̱ remen no̱ ye̱ ma Kiristi ye̱.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 A jiish u̱r-bon u̱rege̱ co̱n-mo̱ Shir mo̱ no̱ su̱ u̱r-ko̱o̱b remen no̱ no̱mo̱g rii-yo depe̱ à o̱tte̱ no̱ su̱ u̱r-ko̱o̱b remen no̱m u̱n rii yo̱-yo à.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Kiristi marag o-gaan cot remen ba'as-u̱t na. Wan-ba-u̱r-ba'as marag remen ya-u̱t-ba'as. Kiristi no̱mo̱g yo ka remen wu̱ he no̱ m-heet be-de Shir. A ho̱o̱g wu̱r-o̱ u̱n wu̱, amba a muutu̱ru̱ Ku̱kt-o̱ u̱n wu̱ u̱n ho̱o̱g ne̱.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 U̱n bu̱-yo Ku̱kt-o̱ ShirKiristi haag wu̱ rwo̱ru̱ru̱ Ma-to̱ Shir be-de u̱n ku̱kt-to̱ a ka'e̱ m-gu̱w à.
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 Ye̱ nomu̱te̱ Shir ko̱o̱b-de o-do̱ro̱tte̱ n-ga n-ga, amba Shir hakku̱rte̱ u̱n ye̱ ne̱ har u̱n da-o̱ Nuhu ro u̱n shaab-o̱ o-hat à, remen Shir a rees ho̱no o-dak m-ho̱. Hun-ne̱ eer a gu'e̱ u̱n ka hat-o̱, ye̱ ruwe̱ ke̱e̱z ke̱e̱z u̱n ka ho̱-mo̱.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Ka ho̱-mo̱ napa-o̱ u̱n bo̱ a yo'osu̱ no̱ m-ho̱ mo̱ gu no̱ m-mo̱ka à. Komo ba dos u̱t-ri'in to̱ o-wu̱r cot á, amba u̱n waktu̱ne̱ ne̱ mo̱ Shir u̱n hur-u̱r gaan. Shir guug no̱ u̱n bu̱-yo u̱n ine̱-m Ye̱so Kiristi.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Kiristi ro̱ m-mo̱ka n-To̱n, so̱ u̱n re̱-de Shir. Yan-to̱m-ye̱ Shir, u̱t-gwo̱mo, komo m-'wo̱ns ne̱ kap ro̱ u̱n kom-to̱ u̱n wu̱.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
