1 Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted! To the oppressing city!
1 Ai da cidade opressora, da rebelde e manchada!
2 She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction; she did not trust in Yahweh; she did not draw near to her God.
2 Não atende a ninguém, não aceita disciplina, não confia no Senhor , nem se aproxima do seu Deus.
3 Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they leave nothing until the next day.
3 Os seus príncipes são leões rugidores no meio dela, os seus juízes são lobos do cair da noite, que não deixam os ossos para serem roídos no dia seguinte.
4 Her prophets are reckless and betraying men; her priests have profaned the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
4 Os seus profetas são levianos, homens pérfidos; os seus sacerdotes profanam o santuário e violam a lei.
5 Yahweh in the midst of her is righteous; he will not do iniquity; every morning he brings his justice to light, he does not fail; but the unjust knows no shame.
5 O Senhor é justo, no meio dela; ele não comete iniquidade; manhã após manhã, traz ele o seu juízo à luz; não falha; mas o iníquo não conhece a vergonha.
6 I have cut off nations; their battlements are desolate; I have made their streets waste, so that none passes by; their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant.
6 Exterminei as nações, as suas torres estão assoladas; fiz desertas as suas praças, a ponto de não haver quem passe por elas; as suas cidades foram destruídas, de maneira que não há ninguém, ninguém que as habite.
7 I said, Only fear me; receive correction; so her dwelling will not be cut off, [according to] all that I have appointed concerning her: but they rose early and corrupted all their doings.
7 Eu dizia: certamente, me temerás e aceitarás a disciplina, e, assim, a sua morada não seria destruída, segundo o que havia determinado; mas eles se levantaram de madrugada e corromperam todos os seus atos.
8 Therefore wait{+} for me, says Yahweh, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour on them my indignation, even all my fierce anger; for all the earth will be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
8 Esperai-me, pois, a mim, diz o Senhor , no dia em que eu me levantar para o despojo; porque a minha resolução é ajuntar as nações e congregar os reinos, para sobre eles fazer cair a minha maldição e todo o furor da minha ira; pois toda esta terra será devorada pelo fogo do meu zelo.
9 For then I will turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call on the name of Yahweh, to serve him with one consent.
9 Então, darei lábios puros aos povos, para que todos invoquem o nome do Senhor e o sirvam de comum acordo.
10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, will bring my offering.
10 Dalém dos rios da Etiópia, os meus adoradores, que constituem a filha da minha dispersão, me trarão sacrifícios.
11 In that day you will not be put to shame for all your doings, in which you have transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of you your proudly exulting ones, and you will no more be haughty in my holy mountain.
11 Naquele dia, não te envergonharás de nenhuma das tuas obras, com que te rebelaste contra mim; então, tirarei do meio de ti os que exultam na sua soberba, e tu nunca mais te ensoberbecerás no meu santo monte.
12 But I will leave in the midst of you an afflicted and poor people, and they will take refuge in the name of Yahweh.
12 Mas deixarei, no meio de ti, um povo modesto e humilde, que confia em o nome do Senhor .
13 The remnant of Israel will not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they will feed and lie down, and none will make them afraid.
13 Os restantes de Israel não cometerão iniquidade, nem proferirão mentira, e na sua boca não se achará língua enganosa, porque serão apascentados, deitar-se-ão, e não haverá quem os espante.
14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
14 Canta, ó filha de Sião; rejubila, ó Israel; regozija-te e, de todo o coração, exulta, ó filha de Jerusalém.
15 Yahweh has taken away your judgments, he has cast out your enemy: the King of Israel, even Yahweh, is in the midst of you; you will not fear evil anymore.
15 O Senhor afastou as sentenças que eram contra ti e lançou fora o teu inimigo. O Rei de Israel, o Senhor , está no meio de ti; tu já não verás mal algum.
16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Don't be afraid; O Zion, don't let your hands be slack.
16 Naquele dia, se dirá a Jerusalém: Não temas, ó Sião, não se afrouxem os teus braços.
17 Yahweh your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with joy; he will rest in his love; he will joy over you with singing.
17 O Senhor , teu Deus, está no meio de ti, poderoso para salvar-te; ele se deleitará em ti com alegria; renovar-te-á no seu amor, regozijar-se-á em ti com júbilo.
18 I will gather those who sorrow for the solemn assembly, who were of you; [to whom] the burden on her was a reproach.
18 Os que estão entristecidos por se acharem afastados das festas solenes, eu os congregarei, estes que são de ti e sobre os quais pesam opróbrios.
19 Look, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you; and I will save that which is lame, and gather that which was driven away; and I will make them a praise and a name, whose shame has been in all the earth.
19 Eis que, naquele tempo, procederei contra todos os que te afligem; salvarei os que coxeiam, e recolherei os que foram expulsos, e farei deles um louvor e um nome em toda a terra em que sofrerem ignomínia.
20 At that time I will bring you{+} in, at the time when I will gather you{+}; for I will make you{+} a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring back your{+} captivity before your{+} eyes, says Yahweh.
20 Naquele tempo, eu vos farei voltar e vos recolherei; certamente, farei de vós um nome e um louvor entre todos os povos da terra, quando eu vos mudar a sorte diante dos vossos olhos, diz o Senhor .
