1 Now it came to pass on a Sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked and ate the ears, rubbing them in their hands.
1 E sucedeu que, no segundo shabat após o primeiro, ele passou entre os campos de trigo; e os seus discípulos arrancaram espigas de trigo e, esfregando-as nas mãos, as comiam.
2 But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do you{+} do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?
2 E alguns dos fariseus lhes disseram: Por que fazeis o que não é lícito fazer nos dias do shabat?
3 And Jesus answering them said, Have you{+} not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;
3 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, disse: Não lestes o que fez Davi quando estava com fome, ele e os que estavam com ele?
4 how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave to those who were with him; which it is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?
4 Como ele entrou na casa de Deus, e tomou e comeu os pães da proposição, e deu também aos que estavam com ele, dos quais não é lícito comer senão aos sacerdotes?
5 And he said to them, The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
5 E dizia-lhes: O Filho do homem é o Senhor também do shabat.
6 And it came to pass on another Sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.
6 E aconteceu também em outro shabat, que ele entrou na sinagoga e ensinava; e havia ali um homem que tinha a mão direita atrofiada.
7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the Sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.
7 E os escribas e fariseus observavam-no, se ele o curaria no dia do shabat, para que eles pudessem encontrar uma acusação contra ele.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand in the middle [of the synagogue]. And he arose and stood.
8 Mas ele conhecia os seus pensamentos, e disse ao homem que tinha a mão atrofiada: Levanta-te, e fica em pé no meio. E ele levantando-se, ficou em pé.
9 And Jesus said to them, I ask you{+}, Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to destroy it?
9 Então, Jesus lhes disse: Eu quero vos perguntar uma coisa: É lícito no dia do shabat fazer bem, ou fazer mal? Salvar a vida ou destruí-la?
10 And he looked around on them all, and said to him, Stretch forth your hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored.
10 E, olhando para todos em redor, ele disse ao homem: Estende a tua mão. E ele assim o fez, e a sua mão foi restaurada, sã como a outra.
11 But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
11 E eles ficaram cheios de furor, e uns com os outros conversavam sobre o que eles poderiam fazer a Jesus.
12 And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.
12 E aconteceu que, naqueles dias ele subiu ao monte para orar, e ele passou a noite toda orando a Deus.
13 And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:
13 E quando já era dia, ele chamou a si os seus discípulos; e escolheu doze deles, a quem também deu o nome de apóstolos:
14 Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,
14 Simão (a quem ele também chamou Pedro), e André, seu irmão, Tiago e João, Filipe e Bartolomeu,
15 and Matthew and Thomas, and James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,
15 Mateus e Tomé, Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Simão, chamado Zelote,
16 and Judas [the son] of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;
16 e Judas, irmão de Tiago, e Judas Iscariotes, que também foi o traidor.
17 and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,
17 E, descendo com eles, parou em uma planície, na companhia de seus discípulos, e uma grande multidão de povo de toda a Judeia e Jerusalém, e do litoral de Tiro e de Sidom, que tinham vindo para ouvi-lo, e para serem curados das suas enfermidades,
18 who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were healed.
18 e os que eram atormentados por espíritos imundos, e eles eram curados.
19 And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed [them] all.
19 E toda a multidão procurava tocar-lhe; porque saía virtude dele, e curava a todos.
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] you{+} poor: for yours{+} is the kingdom of God.
20 E ele levantando os olhos para os seus discípulos, disse: Abençoados sois vós, os pobres; porque vosso é o reino de Deus.
21 Blessed [are] you{+} who hunger now: for you{+} will be filled. Blessed [are] you{+} who weep now: for you{+} will laugh.
21 Abençoados sois vós, que agora tendes fome; porque sereis fartos. Abençoados sois vós, que agora chorais; porque haveis de rir.
22 Blessed are you{+}, when men will hate you{+}, and when they will separate you{+} [from their company], and reproach you{+}, and cast out your{+} name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake.
22 Abençoados sereis quando os homens vos odiarem, e quando eles vos separarem da sua companhia, e vos insultarem, e rejeitarem o vosso nome como mau, por causa do Filho do homem.
23 Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for look, your{+} reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner their fathers did to the prophets.
23 Regozijai-vos nesse dia, e salteis de alegria, porque eis que é grande a vossa recompensa no céu; porque de maneira semelhante faziam os seus pais aos profetas.
24 But woe to you{+} who are rich! For you{+} have received your{+} consolation.
24 Mas ai de vós que sois ricos! Porque já recebestes a vossa consolação.
25 Woe to you{+}, you{+} who are full now! For you{+} will hunger. Woe [to you{+}], you{+} who laugh now! For you{+} will mourn and weep.
25 Ai de vós que estais fartos! Porque tereis fome. Ai de vós que agora rides! Porque haveis de lamentar e chorar.
26 Woe [to you{+}], when all men will speak well of you{+}! For in the same manner their fathers did to the false prophets.
26 Ai de vós quando todos os homens falarem bem de vós! Porque assim faziam seus pais aos falsos profetas.
27 But I say to you{+} who hear, Love your{+} enemies, do good to those who hate you{+},
27 Mas a vós que ouvis, eu digo: Amai aos vossos inimigos, fazei bem aos que vos odeiam;
28 bless those who curse you{+}, pray for those who despitefully use you{+}.
28 abençoai os que vos amaldiçoam, e orai pelos que vos maltratam.
29 To him who strikes you on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak don't withhold your coat also.
29 Ao que te ferir em uma face, oferece-lhe também a outra; e ao que te tomar a capa, não o proíba de tirar-te a túnica também.
30 Give to everyone who asks you; and of him who takes away your goods don't ask [for them] back.
30 Dá para cada homem que te pedir; e aquele que levar os teus bens, não lhe exijas que os devolva.
31 And as you{+} would that men should do to you{+}, do{+} to them likewise.
31 E assim como quereis que os homens vos façam, fazei-lhes igualmente.
32 And if you{+} love those who love you{+}, what thanks do you{+} have? For even sinners love those who love them.
32 Porque, se amardes aos que vos amam, qual é o vosso reconhecimento? Pois os pecadores também amam os que os amam.
33 For even if you{+} do good to those who do good to you{+}, what thanks do you{+} have? Even sinners do the same.
33 E se fizerdes bem aos que vos fazem bem, qual é o vosso reconhecimento? Pois os pecadores também fazem o mesmo.
34 And if you{+} lend to them of whom you{+} hope to receive, what thanks is it to you{+}? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.
34 E se emprestardes àqueles de quem esperais receber, qual é o vosso reconhecimento? Pois os pecadores também emprestam aos pecadores, para receberem novamente outro tanto.
35 But love your{+} enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your{+} reward will be great, and you{+} will be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
35 Amai, pois, a vossos inimigos, e fazei bem, e emprestai, sem nada esperardes de volta, e será grande a vossa recompensa, e sereis filhos do Altíssimo; porque ele é bondoso para com os ingratos e para com os maus.
36 Be{+} merciful, even as your{+} Father is merciful.
36 Sede, pois, misericordiosos, assim como vosso Pai também é misericordioso.
37 And do not judge, and you{+} will not be judged: and do not condemn, and you{+} will not be condemned: release, and you{+} will be released:
37 Não julgueis, e não sereis julgados; não condeneis, e não sereis condenados; perdoai, e sereis perdoados;
38 give, and it will be given to you{+}; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will give into your{+} bosom. For with what measure you{+} mete it will be measured to you{+} again.
38 dai, e vos será dado, boa medida, prensada, sacudida e transbordante, os homens vos darão no vosso regaço; porque com a mesma medida com que medirdes vos medirão novamente.
39 And he spoke also a parable to them, Can the blind guide the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?
39 E falou-lhes uma parábola: Pode um cego conduzir um cego? Não cairão ambos na cova?
40 The disciple is not above his teacher: but everyone when he is fully trained will be as his teacher.
40 O discípulo não está acima do seu mestre; mas todo o que for perfeito será como o seu mestre.
41 And why do you look at the mote that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?
41 E por que tu reparas no cisco que está no olho de teu irmão, e não reparas na viga que está no teu próprio olho?
42 How can you say to your brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in your eye, when you yourself don't look at the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the mote that is in your brother's eye.
42 Ou como podes dizer a teu irmão: Irmão, deixa-me tirar o cisco que está no teu olho, não reparando tu mesmo na viga que está no teu próprio olho? Hipócrita, tira primeiro a viga do teu próprio olho, e, então, verás claramente para tirar o cisco que está no olho de teu irmão.
43 For there is no good tree producing corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree producing good fruit.
43 Porque não há árvore boa que produza mau fruto, nem árvore má que produza bom fruto.
44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush do they gather grapes.
44 Porque toda árvore é reconhecida pelo seu próprio fruto. Porque dos espinheiros o homem não colhe figos, nem de um arbusto se colhe uvas.
45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] brings forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
45 O homem bom, do bom tesouro do seu coração tira o que é bom, e o homem mau, do mau tesouro do seu coração tira o que é mau; porque da abundância do seu coração fala a boca.
46 And why call{+} me, Lord, Lord, and not do the things which I say?
46 E por que me chamais, Senhor, Senhor, e não fazeis as coisas que eu digo?
47 Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you{+} to whom he is like:
47 Todo aquele que vem a mim, e ouve as minhas palavras, e as pratica, eu vos mostrarei a quem ele é semelhante;
48 he is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well built.
48 ele é semelhante a um homem que edificou uma casa, e cavou fundo, e pôs os alicerces sobre a rocha; e, vindo a enchente, a corrente batia veementemente sobre aquela casa, e não a pôde abalar, pois esta estava fundada sobre a rocha.
49 But he who hears [my words], and does not [do them], is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.
49 Mas o que ouve e não pratica é semelhante a um homem que edificou uma casa sobre a terra, sem alicerces; na qual a corrente batia veementemente, e imediatamente desabou; e foi grande a ruína daquela casa.
