Ezequiel 11

1 Moreover the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of Yahweh's house, which looks eastward: and look, at the door of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
1 Então o Espírito me pôs em pé e me levou à porta leste do templo do S enhor , onde vi 25 homens. Entre eles estavam Jazanias, filho de Azur, e Pelatias, filho de Benaia, líderes do povo.
2 And he said to me, Son of Man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who give wicked counsel in this city;
2 O Espírito me disse: “Filho do homem, estes são os homens que planejam o mal e dão conselhos perversos nesta cidade.
3 who say, [The time] is not near to build houses: this [city] is the cauldron, and we are the flesh.
3 Dizem ao povo: ‘Não acham que é uma boa hora para construir casas? Esta cidade é como uma panela de ferro; estamos seguros dentro dela, como a carne na panela’.
4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O Son of Man.
4 Portanto, filho do homem, profetize contra eles em alta voz”.
5 And the Spirit of Yahweh fell on me, and he said to me, Speak, Thus says Yahweh: Thus you{+} have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your{+} mind.
5 Então o Espírito do S enhor veio sobre mim e ordenou que eu dissesse: “Assim diz o S enhor ao povo de Israel: Eu sei o que vocês dizem, pois conheço cada pensamento que lhes vem à mente.
6 You{+} have multiplied your{+} slain in this city, and you{+} have filled its streets with the slain.
6 Assassinaram muitos nesta cidade e encheram suas ruas de cadáveres.
7 Therefore thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Your{+} slain whom you{+} have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this [city] is the cauldron; but you{+} will be brought forth out of the midst of it.
7 “Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: De fato, esta cidade é a panela de ferro, mas os pedaços de carne são aqueles que vocês mataram. Quanto a vocês, em breve os arrancarei da panela.
8 You{+} have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword on you{+}, says the Sovereign Yahweh.
8 Trarei sobre vocês a espada de guerra que tanto temem, diz o S enhor Soberano.
9 And I will bring you{+} forth out of the midst of it, and deliver you{+} into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you{+}.
9 Eu os expulsarei de Jerusalém e os entregarei a estrangeiros, que executarão meus julgamentos contra vocês.
10 You{+} will fall by the sword; I will judge you{+} in the border of Israel; and you{+} will know that I am Yahweh.
10 Vocês serão massacrados até as fronteiras de Israel. Eu os julgarei, e vocês saberão que eu sou o S enhor .
11 This [city] will not be your{+} cauldron, neither will you{+} be the flesh in the midst of it; I will judge you{+} in the border of Israel;
11 Esta cidade não será para vocês como uma panela de ferro, e vocês não serão como a carne, segura dentro dela. Eu os julgarei até as fronteiras de Israel,
12 and you{+} will know that I am Yahweh: for you{+} have not walked in my statutes, neither have you{+} executed my ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you{+}.
12 e vocês saberão que eu sou o S enhor . Pois não quiseram seguir meus decretos e estatutos; em vez disso, imitaram as práticas das nações ao seu redor”.
13 And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Sovereign Yahweh! Will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
13 Enquanto eu ainda profetizava, Pelatias, filho de Benaia, morreu. Então prostrei-me com o rosto no chão e clamei: “Ó S enhor Soberano, matarás todos que restarem em Israel?”.
14 And the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
14 Então recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
15 Son of Man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them, [are they] to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get{+} far from Yahweh; to us this land is given for a possession.
15 “Filho do homem, aqueles que ainda restam em Jerusalém falam de você, de seus parentes e de todo o povo de Israel que está no exílio. Dizem: ‘Estão longe do S enhor , por isso agora ele nos deu a terra deles!’.
16 Therefore say, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.
16 “Portanto, diga aos exilados: ‘Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Embora eu os tenha espalhado entre as nações do mundo, serei um santuário para vocês durante seu tempo no exílio.
17 Therefore say, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: I will gather you{+} from the peoples, and assemble you{+} out of the countries where you{+} have been scattered, and I will give you{+} the land of Israel.
17 Eu, o S enhor Soberano, digo que os reunirei das nações onde foram espalhados e lhes devolverei a terra de Israel’.
18 And they will come there, and they will take away all its detestable and disgusting things from there.
18 “Quando eles regressarem para sua terra natal, removerão todos os resquícios de suas imagens repugnantes e de seus ídolos detestáveis.
19 And I will give them another heart, and I will put a new spirit inside you{+}; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
19 Eu lhes darei um só coração e colocarei dentro deles um novo espírito. Removerei seu coração de pedra e lhes darei coração de carne,
20 that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them: and they will be my people, and I will be their God.
20 para que obedeçam a meus decretos e estatutos. Então eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
21 But those whose heart walks after their detestable things and disgusting things, I will bring their way on their own heads, says the Sovereign Yahweh.
21 Quanto àqueles que anseiam por suas imagens repugnantes e seus ídolos detestáveis, darei a eles o castigo merecido por seus pecados. Eu, o S enhor Soberano, falei!”.
22 Then the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
22 Então os querubins levantaram as asas, acompanhados de suas rodas, e a glória do Deus de Israel pairava sobre eles.
23 And the glory of Yahweh went up from the midst of the city, and stood on the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
23 Então a glória do S enhor subiu da cidade e parou acima do monte a leste.
24 And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
24 Depois disso, o Espírito de Deus me levou de volta à Babilônia, para o povo no exílio. Assim terminou a minha visão.
25 Then I spoke to them of the captivity all the things that Yahweh had shown me.
25 E eu relatei aos exilados tudo que o S enhor me tinha mostrado.
