1 The former treatise I made, O Theophilus, concerning all that Jesus began both to do and to teach,

6 They therefore, when they had come together, asked him, saying, Lord, do you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?

11 who also said, Men, Galileans, why do you{+} stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was received up from you{+} into heaven will so come in like manner as you{+} watched him going into heaven.

17 For he was numbered among us, and received his portion in this service.

18 (Now this man obtained a field with the wages of his iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst apart in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it became known to all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch that in their own language that field was called Akeldama, that is, The field of blood.)

26 And they gave lots for them; and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
