1 Paul and Timotheus the servauntes of Iesu Christ To all ye sainctes in Christ Iesu which are at Philippos with ye Bisshops and Deacons.
1 Paulo e Timóteo, servos de Cristo Jesus, a todos os santos em Cristo Jesus que estão em Filipos, com os bispos e diáconos:
2 Grace be with you and peace from God oure father and from the Lorde Iesus Christ.
2 Graça a vós, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
3 I thanke my God with all remembraunce of you
3 Dou graças ao meu Deus todas as vezes que me lembro de vós,
4 all wayes in all my prayers for you and praye with gladnes
4 fazendo sempre, em todas as minhas orações, súplicas por todos vós com alegria
5 because of the fellowshyp which ye have in the gospell from the fyrst daye vnto now:
5 pela vossa cooperação a favor do evangelho desde o primeiro dia até agora;
6 and am suerly certified of this that he which beganne a good worke in you shall go forthe with it vntyll the daye of Iesus Christ
6 tendo por certo isto mesmo, que aquele que em vós começou a boa obra a aperfeiçoará até o dia de Cristo Jesus,
7 as it becometh me so to iudge of you all because I have you in my herte and have you also every one companios of grace with me even in my bondes as I defende and stablysshe the gospell.
7 como tenho por justo sentir isto a respeito de vós todos, porque vos retenho em meu coração, pois todos vós sois participantes comigo da graça, tanto nas minhas prisões como na defesa e confirmação do evangelho.
8 For God beareth me recorde how greatly I longe after you all from the very herte rote in Iesus Christ.
8 Pois Deus me é testemunha de que tenho saudades de todos vós, na terna misericórdia de Cristo Jesus.
9 And this I praye yt youre love maye increace more and more in knowledge and in all fealinge
9 E isto peço em oração: que o vosso amor aumente mais e mais no pleno conhecimento e em todo o discernimento,
10 that ye myght accepte thinges most excellent that ye myght be pure and soche as shuld hurte no manes conscience vntyll the daye of Christ
10 para que aproveis as coisas excelentes, a fim de que sejais sinceros, e sem ofensa até o dia de Cristo;
11 filled with the frutes of rightewesnes which frutes come by Iesus Christ vnto the glory and laude of God.
11 cheios do fruto de justiça, que vem por meio de Jesus Cristo, para glória e louvor de Deus.
12 I wolde ye vnderstode brethern that my busynes is happened vnto the greater furtherynge of the gospell.
12 E quero, irmãos, que saibais que as coisas que me aconteceram têm antes contribuído para o progresso do evangelho;
13 So that my bondes in Christ are manyfest thorow out all the iudgement hall and in all other places:
13 de modo que se tem tornado manifesto a toda a guarda pretoriana e a todos os demais, que é por Cristo que estou em prisões;
14 In so moche that many of the brethre in ye lorde are boldned thorow my bodes and dare more largely speake the worde with out feare.
14 também a maior parte dos irmãos no Senhor, animados pelas minhas prisões, são muito mais corajosos para falar sem temor a palavra de Deus.
15 Some ther are which preache Christ of envie and stryfe and some of good wyll.
15 Verdade é que alguns pregam a Cristo até por inveja e contenda, mas outros o fazem de boa mente;
16 The one parte preacheth Christ of stryfe and not purely supposinge to adde more adversitie to my bondes.
16 estes por amor, sabendo que fui posto para defesa do evangelho;
17 The other parte of love because they se that I am set to defend the gospell.
17 mas aqueles por contenda anunciam a Cristo, não sinceramente, julgando suscitar aflição às minhas prisões.
18 What then? So that Christ be preached all maner wayes whether it be by occasion or of true meaninge I therin ioye: ye and will ioye.
18 Mas que importa? contanto que, de toda maneira, ou por pretexto ou de verdade, Cristo seja anunciado, nisto me regozijo, sim, e me regozijarei;
19 For I knowe that this shall chaunce to my salvacion thorow youre prayer and ministringe of the sprete of Iesu Christ
19 porque sei que isto me resultará em salvação, pela vossa súplica e pelo socorro do Espírito de Jesus Cristo,
20 as I hertely loke for and hope that in nothinge I shalbe ashamed: but that with all confidence as all wayes in tymes past even so now Christ shalbe magnified in my body whether it be thorowe lyfe or els deeth.
20 segundo a minha ardente expectativa e esperança, de que em nada serei confundido; antes, com toda a ousadia, Cristo será, tanto agora como sempre, engrandecido no meu corpo, seja pela vida, seja pela morte.
21 For Christ is to me lyfe and deeth is to me a vauntage.
21 Porque para mim o viver é Cristo, e o morrer é lucro.
22 Yf it chaunce me to live in the flesshe that is to me frutefull forto worke and what to chose I wote not.
22 Mas, se o viver na carne resultar para mim em fruto do meu trabalho, não sei então o que hei de escolher.
23 I am constrayned of two thinges: I desyre to be lowsed and to be with Christ which thinge is best of all.
23 Mas de ambos os lados estou em aperto, tendo desejo de partir e estar com Cristo, porque isto é ainda muito melhor;
24 Neverthelesse to abyde in the flesshe is moare nedfull for you.
24 todavia, por causa de vós, julgo mais necessário permanecer na carne.
25 And this am I sure of that I shall abyde and with you all continue for the furtheraunce and ioye of youre fayth
25 E, tendo esta confiança, sei que ficarei, e permanecerei com todos vós para vosso progresso e gozo na fé;
26 that ye maye moare aboundantly reioyce in Iesus Christ thorowe me by my comminge to you agayne.
26 para que o motivo de vos gloriardes cresça por mim em Cristo Jesus, pela minha presença de novo convosco.
27 Only let yovre conversacion be as it be cometh the gospell of Christ: that whether I come and se you or els be absent I maye yet heare of you that ye contynue in one sprete and in one soule labouringe as we do to mayntayne the fayth of the gospell
27 Somente portai-vos, dum modo digno do evangelho de Cristo, para que, quer vá e vos veja, quer esteja ausente, ouça acerca de vós que permaneceis firmes num só espírito, combatendo juntamente com uma só alma pela fé do evangelho;
28 and in nothynge fearinge youre adversaries: which is to them a token of perdicion and to you of salvacion and that of God.
28 e que em nada estais atemorizados pelos adversários, o que para eles é indício de perdição, mas para vós de salvação, e isso da parte de Deus;
29 For vnto you it is geven that not only ye shulde beleve on Christ: but also suffre for his sake
29 pois vos foi concedido, por amor de Cristo, não somente o crer nele, mas também o padecer por ele,
30 and have eve the same fight which ye sawe me have and now heare of me.
30 tendo o mesmo combate que já em mim tendes visto e agora ouvis que está em mim.
