1 In the same ceason the Lord sayed vnto me hewe the two tables of stone like vnto the first and come vp vnto me in to the mount ad make the an Arke of wod,
1 Moisés disse ao povo: — Depois disso o
2 and I will wryte in the table, the wordes that were in the first tables which thou brakest, ad thou shalt put the in the arcke.
2 e eu escreverei nas placas aquilo que escrevi naquelas que você quebrou. Depois ponha as placas na arca.”
3 And I made an arke of sethi wod ad hewed two tables of stone like vnto the first, ad went vp in to the mountayne and the .ij. tables in myne hande.
3 — Eu fiz uma arca de madeira de acácia, cortei duas placas de pedra iguais às primeiras e subi o monte, levando-as comigo.
4 And he wrote in the tables, acording to the first writinge (the .x. verses whiche the Lorde spake vnto you in the mount out of the fire in the daye when the people were gathered) ad gaue the vnto me.
4 Aí Deus, o Senhor , conforme havia feito antes, escreveu nelas os dez mandamentos, os mesmos que tinha dado a vocês quando falou do meio do fogo no alto do monte, naquele dia em que vocês estavam reunidos na presença dele. O Senhor me entregou as placas,
5 And I departed ad came doune fro the hyll and put the tables in the arcke which I had made: ad there they remayned, as the Lorde commaunded me
5 e eu desci do monte. Conforme ele havia ordenado, coloquei as placas na arca que eu havia feito, e elas ainda estão ali.
6 And the childern of Israel toke their iurney from Beroth Be Iake to Mosera, where Aaro dyed ad where he was buried, ad Eleazer his sonne became preast i his steade.
6 (Os israelitas partiram dos poços de Benê-Jacã e foram até Mosera. Ali Arão morreu e foi sepultado, e o seu filho Eleazar ficou no lugar dele como sacerdote.
7 And fro thece they departed vnto Gudgod: ad fro Gudgod to Iathbath, a lod of riuers of water.
7 Depois o povo foi para Gudgoda e dali para Jotbatá, uma região onde há muitos ribeirões.
8 And the same ceason the Lorde separated the trybe of Leui to beare the arcke of the appoyntment of the Lorde and to stonde before the Lorde, ad to ministre vnto him and to blesse in his name vnto this daye.
8 Foi naquela ocasião que o Senhor Deus escolheu a tribo de Levi para que os homens dessa tribo levassem a arca da aliança, servissem como sacerdotes e abençoassem o povo em nome de Deus, o Senhor . E eles ainda continuam fazendo tudo isso.
9 Wherfore the Leuites haue no parte nor enheritaunce with their brethern. The Lorde he is their enheritaunce, as the Lorde thy God hath promysed them.
9 Portanto, a tribo de Levi não recebeu terras em Canaã, como as outras tribos receberam. Conforme a promessa do Senhor Deus, o que essa tribo recebeu foi o direito de os homens servirem como sacerdotes de Deus.)
10 And I taried in the mount, eue as at the first tyme .xl. dayes and .xl. nyghtes and the Lorde herkened vnto me at that tyme also, so that the Lorde wolde not destroye the.
10 E Moisés continuou, dizendo ao povo: — Eu fiquei no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites, como na primeira vez. Mais uma vez o
11 And the Lorde sayed vnto me: vpp ad goo forth in the iurney before the people and let them goo in ad conquere the lond which I sware vnto their fathers to geue vnto them.
11 E mandou que eu fosse e os guiasse, para que entrassem e tomassem posse da terra que ele havia jurado dar aos nossos antepassados.
12 And now Israel what is it that the Lord thi God requyreth of the, but to feare the Lord thi God and to walke in all his wayes and to loue him and to serue the Lorde thy God with all thyne herte and with all thy soule,
12 — Povo de Israel, escute o que o Senhor Deus exige de você. Ele quer que vocês o temam e sigam todas as suas ordens; quer que o amem e que o sirvam com todo o coração e com toda a alma.
13 that thou kepe the commaundmentes of the Lorde ad his ordinaunces which I commaunde the this daye, for thy welth.
13 Obedeçam a todas as leis de Deus que eu estou dando a vocês hoje, para o seu bem.
14 Beholde, heauen and the heauen of heauens is the Lordes thy god, and the erth with all that therein is:
14 Os mais altos céus são de Deus, o Senhor ; a ele pertencem a terra e tudo o que nela existe.
15 only the Lorde had a lust vnto thy fathers to loue them, and therfore chose you theire seed after them off all nacyons, as it is come to passe this daye.
15 Mas o amor dele pelos antepassados de vocês foi tão grande, que de todos os povos do mundo ele escolheu vocês, e até o dia de hoje vocês são o seu povo escolhido.
16 Circumcyse therfore the foreskynne of youre hartes, and be no longer sciffnecked.
16 Portanto, sejam obedientes a Deus e deixem de ser teimosos.
17 For the Lorde youre God, he is God of goddes and lorde of lordes, a greate God, a myghtye and a terreble which regardeth no mans person nor taketh giftes:
17 Pois o Senhor , nosso Deus, está acima de todos os deuses e autoridades. Ele é grande, poderoso e causa medo. Ele trata a todos igualmente e não aceita presentes para torcer a justiça.
18 but doeth right vnto the fatherlesse and wedowe and loueth the straunger, to geue him fode and rayment.
18 Ele defende os direitos dos órfãos e das viúvas; ele ama os estrangeiros que vivem entre nós e lhes dá comida e roupa.
19 Loue therfore the straunger, for ye were straungers youre selues in the londe of Egipte.
19 Amem esses estrangeiros, pois vocês foram estrangeiros no Egito.
20 Thou shalt feare the Lorde thi God and serue him and cleaue vnto him ad swere by his name,
20 Temam o Senhor , nosso Deus, e adorem somente a ele; fiquem ligados com ele e jurem somente pelo seu nome.
21 for he is thi prayse ad he is thi God that hath done these greate and terreble thinges for the, which thine eyes haue sene.
21 Louvem a Deus; ele é o nosso Deus. Vocês viram com os seus próprios olhos as grandes e espantosas coisas que Deus fez em favor de vocês.
22 Thi fathers went doune in to Egipte with .lxx. soules, ad now the Lorde thi God hath made the as the starres of heauen in multitude.
22 Quando os nossos antepassados foram para o Egito, eram somente setenta pessoas; mas agora, por causa das bênçãos do Senhor , nosso Deus, vocês são tantos como as estrelas do céu.
