1 I testifie therfore before god and before the lorde Iesu Christ which shall iudge quicke and deed at his aperynge in his kyngdom
1 Conjuro-te, perante Deus e Cristo Jesus, que há de julgar vivos e mortos, pela sua manifestação e pelo seu reino:
2 preache the worde be fervent be it in season or out of season. Improve rebuke exhorte with all longe sufferinge and doctryne.
2 prega a palavra, insta, quer seja oportuno, quer não, corrige, repreende, exorta com toda a longanimidade e doutrina.
3 For the tyme will come when they wyll not suffer wholsome doctryne: but after their awne lustes shall they (whose eares ytche) gett the an heepe of teachers
3 Pois haverá tempo em que não suportarão a sã doutrina; pelo contrário, cercar-se-ão de mestres segundo as suas próprias cobiças, como que sentindo coceira nos ouvidos;
4 and shall turne their eares from ye trueth and shalbe geven vnto fables.
4 e se recusarão a dar ouvidos à verdade, entregando-se às fábulas.
5 But watch thou in all thynges and suffre adversitie and do the worke of an evangelist fulfill thyne office vnto the vtmost.
5 Tu, porém, sê sóbrio em todas as coisas, suporta as aflições, faze o trabalho de um evangelista, cumpre cabalmente o teu ministério.
6 For I am now redy to be offered and the tyme of my departynge is at honde.
6 Quanto a mim, estou sendo já oferecido por libação, e o tempo da minha partida é chegado.
7 I have fought a good fight and have fulfilled my course and have kept the fayth.
7 Combati o bom combate, completei a carreira, guardei a fé.
8 From hence forth is layde vp for me a croune of rightewesnes which the lorde that is a righteous iudge shall geve me at that daye: not to me only but vnto all them that love his commynge.
8 Já agora a coroa da justiça me está guardada, a qual o Senhor, reto juiz, me dará naquele Dia; e não somente a mim, mas também a todos quantos amam a sua vinda.
9 Make spede to come vnto me at once.
9 Procura vir ter comigo depressa.
10 For Demas hath left me and hath loved this present worlde and is departed into Tessalonica. Crescens is gone to Galacia and Titus vnto Dalmacea.
10 Porque Demas, tendo amado o presente século, me abandonou e se foi para Tessalônica; Crescente foi para a Galácia, Tito, para a Dalmácia.
11 Only Lucas is with me. Take Marke and bringe him with the for he is necessary vnto me forto minister.
11 Somente Lucas está comigo. Toma contigo Marcos e traze-o, pois me é útil para o ministério.
12 And Tichicus have I sent to Ephesus.
12 Quanto a Tíquico, mandei-o até Éfeso.
13 The cloke that I lefte at Troada with Carpus whe thou commest brynge with the and the bokes but specially the partchemet.
13 Quando vieres, traze a capa que deixei em Trôade, em casa de Carpo, bem como os livros, especialmente os pergaminhos.
14 Alexander the coppersmyth did me moche evyll the lorde rewarde him accordynge to his dedes
14 Alexandre, o latoeiro, causou-me muitos males; o Senhor lhe dará a paga segundo as suas obras.
15 of whom be thou ware also. For he withstode oure preachynge sore.
15 Tu, guarda-te também dele, porque resistiu fortemente às nossas palavras.
16 At my fyrst answerynge no man assissted me but all forsoke me. I praye God that it maye not be layde to their charges:
16 Na minha primeira defesa, ninguém foi a meu favor; antes, todos me abandonaram. Que isto não lhes seja posto em conta!
17 notwithstondinge the Lorde assisted me and stregthed me that by me the preachinge shuld be fulfilled to the vtmost and that all the gentyls shuld heare. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lyon.
17 Mas o Senhor me assistiu e me revestiu de forças, para que, por meu intermédio, a pregação fosse plenamente cumprida, e todos os gentios a ouvissem; e fui libertado da boca do leão.
18 And the Lorde shall delivre me from all evyll doynge and shall kepe me vnto his hevenly kyngdome. To who be prayse for ever and ever. Amen.
18 O Senhor me livrará também de toda obra maligna e me levará salvo para o seu reino celestial. A ele, glória pelos séculos dos séculos. Amém!
19 Salute Prisca and Aquila and the housholde of Onesiphorus.
19 Saúda Prisca, e Áquila, e a casa de Onesíforo.
20 Erastus abode at Corinthu. Trophimos I lefte at Miletum sicke.
20 Erasto ficou em Corinto. Quanto a Trófimo, deixei-o doente em Mileto.
21 Make spede to come before winter. Eubolus gretith the and Pudes and Linus and Claudia and all the brethren.
21 Apressa-te a vir antes do inverno. Êubulo te envia saudações; o mesmo fazem Prudente, Lino, Cláudia e os irmãos todos.
22 The Lorde Iesus Christ be with thy sprete. Grace be with you. Amen.
22 O Senhor seja com o teu espírito. A graça seja convosco.
