2 Pedro 1
The Common Edition: New Testament (TCE) vs BKJ
1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:
1 Simão Pedro, servo e apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, àqueles que receberam conosco a preciosa fé, através da justiça de Deus e nosso Salvador Jesus Cristo:
2 grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Graça e paz vos sejam multiplicadas, por meio do conhecimento de Deus, e de Jesus nosso Senhor.
3 His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence.
3 Conforme o seu divino poder, deu-nos todas as coisas que dizem respeito à vida e à piedade, pelo conhecimento daquele que nos chamou para a glória e virtude.
4 By these he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and become partakers of the divine nature.
4 Pelas quais nos são concedidas grandíssimas e preciosas promessas, para que através destas possais ser participantes da natureza divina, havendo escapado da corrupção que há no mundo, através da concupiscência.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge,
5 E além disto, com toda a diligência, acrescentai virtude à vossa fé, e à virtude o conhecimento,
6 and to knowledge, self-control, and to self-control, perseverance, and to perseverance, godliness,
6 e ao conhecimento a temperança, e à temperança a paciência, e à paciência a piedade,
7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love.
7 e à piedade a gentileza fraternal, e à gentileza fraternal a caridade.
8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Porque se em vós houver estas coisas, e com abundância, eles não vos deixarão estéreis e nem infrutíferos no conhecimento de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
9 For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
9 Porém aquele que não tem estas coisas é cego, e não consegue enxergar ao longe, e esqueceu-se de que foi purificado dos seus antigos pecados.
10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall;
10 Portanto, irmãos, procurai diligentemente firmar o vosso chamado e eleição; porque, se fizerdes essas coisas, jamais caireis.
11 so there will be an entrance richly provided for you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
11 Porque assim uma entrada vos será amplamente ministrada no reino eterno de nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo.
12 Therefore I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.
12 Portanto, não serei negligente em lembrar-vos a respeito destas coisas, embora as saibais, e estejais estabelecidos na presente verdade.
13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder,
13 E penso que convém, enquanto eu estiver neste tabernáculo, animá-los através de recordações,
14 since I know that the putting aside of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
14 sabendo que brevemente devo deixar este meu tabernáculo, assim como o nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo me mostrou.
15 And I will see to it that after my departure you will be able at any time to call these things to mind.
15 Além disso, esforçar-me-ei para que, depois da minha morte, tenhais estas coisas sempre em vossa lembrança.
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
16 Porque não seguimos astuciosamente fábulas imaginárias, ao vos anunciar o poder e a vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, porém fomos testemunhas oculares de sua majestade.
17 For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him by the Majestic Glory, saying, »This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.«
17 Porquanto ele recebeu de Deus o Pai, honra e glória, quando lhe veio uma voz da magnífica glória: Este é o meu Filho amado, em quem me comprazo.
18 We ourselves heard this voice coming from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
18 E ouvimos esta voz que veio do céu, quando estávamos nós com ele no monte santo.
19 And we have the prophetic word made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
19 E temos também uma palavra de profecia mais segura, à qual bem fazeis em estar atentos, como a uma luz que brilha em um lugar escuro, até que o dia amanheça, e a estrela da manhã surja em vossos corações.
20 First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,
20 Sabendo isto primeiramente: Que nenhuma profecia da escritura é de particular interpretação.
21 for no prophecy was ever made by the act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
21 Porque a profecia não veio no tempo antigo por vontade de homem algum, mas os homens santos de Deus falaram à medida que eram movidos pelo Espírito Santo.
