1 Tane maŋau ŋaigonu ŋakmba kusreka wam afu yabri ndakap. Taŋgine yabri maŋau yabuka sine tiŋreknu mineg ŋga sa ndakap. Afu tuku mine magenu tuku wamdus kagli fir ndakap. Afu tuku ŋgumnem pasa sa ndakap.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 tane taŋamba kuga. Tane Kuateŋge maditiŋgina. Tane nu tuku kuasmbi ndindo minig. Tane Suŋgo Kuate tuku pris mbal. Tane nu tuku mbal mayok ka nu tuku tur maŋau mayenu afu saniŋgam tuku nu ma make sinamŋge tane wika kilmba nuŋe bulu mayenu mbolŋge patikina.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;

10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Tira kame, tane samba mbolok mbal mayok ka kile teŋge rawe taŋgo taŋaŋ minig. Tane ŋgarosu kikoŋ tiŋgam tuku nzali ŋakmba ŋgumneniŋgap. Ŋgarosu tuku nzaliŋge taŋgine kanu ŋaigo siglikate.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Tane Kuate dubi ndade mbal ŋgamukŋge mine mayenu mbolŋge minap. Tane taŋawap ta nane tane wam ŋaigonu kanu ŋga ŋgumnem pasa tiŋguwaig sulumba tane tuku mine mayenu kaŋgeramŋgaig. Kaŋgerwaig le Kuate nu nane tugum prowa le nane Kuate tuku nyu te-duŋgamŋgaig.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Kilke mbol mbal naŋgine sugo yimyam patikade ta tane Kuate tuku mbal tukunu maŋau mayenu te-mayokmba nane kumnemŋge minap.

14 Kilke tuku gabat suŋgo ko gabat foŋfoŋ nu tuku nyu mbolŋge pirokade nane ŋakmba kumnemŋge minap. Gabat foŋfoŋ nane mbarde mbal lafu ŋayonu niŋmba wam mayede mbal nyu kile-duŋgam tuku nu patikate le nane piro ta kade.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Tane maŋau tiŋreknu kumba tambi nane wamdus tugusek kugatok mbal tuku miŋge tukulniŋgam tuku Kuate nu nzalite.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Kuate nu tane muskil kile-tidiŋge tiŋgit mbal tane tukul tuku piti kugatok taŋaŋ likap. Sine tukul pasa kumnemŋge mine ndakeg ŋga wam ŋaigonu afu kam tuku idus ndawap. Tane Kuate kumnemŋge minmba nu tuku piro mbal minap.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Tane taŋgo ŋakmba idusniŋmba ande maim maim tuwe ndakap. Tane Kristus tuku kuasmbi tuku kume purmba Kuate kumnemŋge minmba nu tuku nyu kuraukap sulumba sisar tuku nyu idusap.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Piro mbal, tane taŋgine kulat mbal tuku nyu idusniŋmba nane kumnemŋge minap. Kulat mbal raŋgun magenu ta ndo kuga. Miŋge saŋgrinumbi tane kulatkade mbal mata kumnemŋge minap.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Tane mbar ndade le afu ake sinaŋ tane kattiŋgig le sine Kuate tuku mbal ŋga wamdus piti kugatok rar kurade ta tane wam mayede.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Tane mbarde le afuŋge kattiŋgig le tane wamdus piti kugatok rar kurade ta alo kugatok. Tane maŋau tiŋreknu kade le kattiŋgig le tane ndek wamdus piti kugatok rar kurade ta Kuate nu nzalite.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Tane wamdus piti kugatok piti kurawam tuku Kuate nu tane wikina. Kristus nu sinenu ŋga rar suŋgo tina sulumba piti mbolŋge sine nu tuku maŋau dubiwam tuku tumsiŋgina.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Nu mbar ande ke ndakina. Yabri pasa ande mata sa ndakina.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Nane afuŋge nu tumail pannaig ta nu lafumba nane tumail pan ndaniŋgina. Nane nu ŋgaro rar suŋgo tunaig ta nu lafumba riroŋ pasa ande sa ndaniŋgina. Kuate nu taŋgo kumumbi pileniŋgit ŋga nu wam ta ŋakmba nu wai mbolŋge patikina.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Siŋgine maŋau ŋaigonu kusreka mine kitek mayenu mbolŋge minbe ŋga nu sine tuku une kilmba ail kazrai mbolŋge kumna. Nu tuku mbamake taŋge sine tuku muskil kile-tidiŋge siŋgina le sine mage mineg.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Sine sipsip taŋaŋ ndin mbarmba ŋgisika mingeŋ ta kile Sipsip Kulat Taŋgo tugusek tugum proweg le nu sine tuku kanu kulatkate.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
