1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. O God, hear my voice in my complaint; guard my life from the terror of the enemy.
1 Ouve-me, ó Deus, quando faço a minha queixa; protege a minha vida do inimigo ameaçador.
2 Hide me from the council of those who injure, from the tumult of evildoers,
2 Defende-me da conspiração dos ímpios e da ruidosa multidão de malfeitores.
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword; they tread their arrows, a bitter word,
3 Eles afiam a língua como espada e apontam como flechas, palavras envenenadas.
4 so that they may shoot at the innocent from a lurking place; suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.
4 De onde estão emboscados atiram no homem íntegro; atiram de surpresa, sem qualquer temor.
5 They make themselves strong in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?
5 Animam-se uns aos outros com planos malignos, combinam como ocultar as suas armadilhas, e dizem: "Quem as verá? "
6 They search into injustice, saying , We have finished a well laid plan. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are deep!
6 Tramam a injustiça e dizem: "Fizemos um plano perfeito! " A mente e o coração de cada um deles o encobrem!
7 But God shall shoot an arrow at them; their wounds shall suddenly appear.
7 Mas Deus atirará neles suas flechas; repentinamente serão atingidos.
8 So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls upon themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee.
8 Pelas próprias palavras farão cair uns aos outros; menearão a cabeça e zombarão deles todos os que os virem.
9 And all men shall fear and shall declare the work of God; yea, they shall in wisdom consider His work.
9 Todos os homens temerão, proclamarão as obras de Deus, refletindo no que ele fez.
10 The righteous shall rejoice in Jehovah, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
10 Alegrem-se os justos no Senhor e nele busquem refúgio; congratulem-se todos os retos de coração!
