Isaías 33

1 Woe to the destroyer, and you not being destroyed; and to the betrayer, and they did not betray you! When you finish destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, they will betray you.
1 Ai de ti, destruidor que não foste destruído, que procedes perfidamente e não foste tratado com perfídia! Acabando tu de destruir, serás destruído, acabando de tratar perfidamente, serás tratado com perfídia.
2 O Jehovah, be gracious to us. We have hoped in You; be their arm in the mornings, our salvation also in time of distress.
2 Senhor , tem misericórdia de nós; em ti temos esperado; sê tu o nosso braço manhã após manhã e a nossa salvação no tempo da angústia.
3 At the sound of the tumult, the peoples fled; at Your exaltation, nations scattered.
3 Ao ruído do tumulto, fogem os povos; quando tu te ergues, as nações são dispersas.
4 And Your prey shall be gathered as the stripping locust gathers; as locusts run to and fro, he also runs about on it.
4 Então, ajuntar-se-á o vosso despojo como se ajuntam as lagartas; como os gafanhotos saltam, assim os homens saltarão sobre ele.
5 Jehovah is exalted, for He lives on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
5 O Senhor é sublime, pois habita nas alturas; encheu a Sião de direito e de justiça.
6 And He will be the security of your times, strength of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of Jehovah is His treasure.
6 Haverá, ó Sião, estabilidade nos teus tempos, abundância de salvação, sabedoria e conhecimento; o temor do Senhor será o teu tesouro.
7 Behold, their heroes cry outside; the envoys of peace shall weep bitterly.
7 Eis que os heróis pranteiam de fora, e os mensageiros de paz estão chorando amargamente.
8 The highways are deserted; the path crosser ceases. He has broken the covenant; he has rejected cities; he has not respected man.
8 As estradas estão desoladas, cessam os que passam por elas; rompem-se as alianças, as cidades são desprezadas, já não se faz caso do homem.
9 The land mourns and droops; Lebanon is ashamed; Sharon withers like a wilderness; Bashan is shaken out; also Carmel.
9 A terra geme e desfalece; o Líbano se envergonha e se murcha; Sarom se torna como um deserto, Basã e Carmelo são despidos de suas folhas.
10 Now I will rise up, says Jehovah. Now I will be exalted; now I will be lifted up.
10 Agora, me levantarei, diz o Senhor ; levantar-me-ei a mim mesmo; agora, serei exaltado.
11 You shall conceive chaff; you shall bear stumble; your fiery breath shall devour you.
11 Concebestes palha, dareis à luz restolho; o vosso bufo enfurecido é fogo que vos há de devorar.
12 And peoples shall be as burnings of lime; as thorns cut away, they shall be burned in fire.
12 Os povos serão queimados como se queima a cal; como espinhos cortados, arderão no fogo.
13 Distant ones, hear what I have done; and you near ones, know My might.
13 Ouvi vós, os que estais longe, o que tenho feito; e vós, os que estais perto, reconhecei o meu poder.
14 The sinners of Zion are afraid; terror has seized profane ones; who of us shall tarry with consuming fire? Who of us shall tarry with everlasting burnings?
14 Os pecadores em Sião se assombram, o tremor se apodera dos ímpios; e eles perguntam: Quem dentre nós habitará com o fogo devorador? Quem dentre nós habitará com chamas eternas?
15 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands free from taking the bribe, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil.
15 O que anda em justiça e fala o que é reto; o que despreza o ganho de opressão; o que, com um gesto de mãos, recusa aceitar suborno; o que tapa os ouvidos, para não ouvir falar de homicídios, e fecha os olhos, para não ver o mal,
16 He shall live on high; strongholds of rocks will be his retreat; his bread shall be given; his waters are faithful.
16 este habitará nas alturas; as fortalezas das rochas serão o seu alto refúgio, o seu pão lhe será dado, as suas águas serão certas.
17 Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall see a land that is very far off.
17 Os teus olhos verão o rei na sua formosura, verão a terra que se estende até longe.
18 Your heart shall ponder terror: Where is the scribe? Where is he weighing? Where is he counting the towers?
18 O teu coração se recordará dos terrores, dizendo: Onde está aquele que registrou, onde, o que pesou o tributo, onde, o que contou as torres?
19 You shall not see the fierce people, from hearing a people of a difficult lip, of a foreign tongue, that none understands.
19 Já não verás aquele povo atrevido, povo de fala obscura, que não se pode entender, e de língua bárbara, ininteligível.
20 Behold, Zion, the city of our appointed meetings! Your eyes shall see Jerusalem, a quiet home. a tent that shall not be moved; its stakes shall not be pulled up forever, nor shall any of its cords be pulled off.
20 Olha para Sião, a cidade das nossas solenidades; os teus olhos verão a Jerusalém, habitação tranquila, tenda que não será removida, cujas estacas nunca serão arrancadas, nem rebentada nenhuma de suas cordas.
21 But majestic Jehovah will place there for us a place of rivers and streams, broad on both hands; a ship with oars shall not go in it, and a majestic boat shall not pass through it.
21 Mas o Senhor ali nos será grandioso, fará as vezes de rios e correntes largas; barco nenhum de remo passará por eles, navio grande por eles não navegará.
22 For Jehovah is our judge; Jehovah is our lawgiver; Jehovah is our king; He will save us.
22 Porque o Senhor é o nosso juiz, o Senhor é o nosso legislador, o Senhor é o nosso Rei; ele nos salvará.
23 Your ropes are loosened; they do not hold the base of their mast; they could not spread the sail. Then the prey of much plunder shall be divided; the lame shall seize on the spoil.
23 Agora, as tuas enxárcias estão frouxas; não podem ter firme o mastro, nem estender a vela. Então, se repartirá a presa de abundantes despojos; até os coxos participarão dela.
24 And an inhabitant shall not say, I am sick; the people who live in it shall not say , iniquity is taken away.
24 Nenhum morador de Jerusalém dirá: Estou doente; porque ao povo que habita nela, perdoar-se-lhe-á a sua iniquidade.
