1 And these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

3 And Gomer's sons were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

5 The coasts of the nations were divided by these in their lands each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.
5 Estes repartiram entre si as ilhas das nações nas suas terras, cada qual segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, em suas nações.
6 And Ham's sons were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
6 Os filhos de Cam foram: Cuxe, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã.
7 And the sons of Cush were Seba and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And Raamah's sons were Sheba and Dedan.
7 Os filhos de Cuxe foram: Sebá, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá; e os filhos de Raamá: Sabá e Dedã.
8 And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the land.
8 Cuxe gerou Ninrode, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.
9 He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; so it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah.
9 Foi valente caçador diante do Senhor . Daí dizer-se: “Como Ninrode, poderoso caçador diante do Senhor .”
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
10 O princípio do seu reino foi Babel, Ereque, Acade e Calné, na terra de Sinar.
11 From that land he went forth to Assyria and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth the city, and Calah,

12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which is a great city.

17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18 and the Arvadite and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. And afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed.

19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you come to Gerar, as far as Gaza, as you go in towards Sodom and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even to Lasha.
19 E a fronteira dos cananeus foi desde Sidom, indo para Gerar, até Gaza, indo para Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá e Zeboim, até Lasa.
20 These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countries, in their nations.
20 São estes os filhos de Cam, segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações.
21 And to Shem was born, even to him, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.
21 A Sem, que foi pai de todos os filhos de Héber e irmão mais velho de Jafé, também nasceram filhos.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
22 Os filhos de Sem foram: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude e Arã.
23 And Aram's sons were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
23 Os filhos de Arã foram: Uz, Hul, Geter e Más.
24 And Arpachshad fathered Salah; and Salah fathered Eber.
24 Arfaxade gerou Salá, e Salá gerou Héber.
25 And two sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
25 A Héber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, porque em seus dias se repartiu a terra; e o nome de seu irmão foi Joctã.
26 And Joktan fathered Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
26 Joctã gerou Almodá, Selefe, Hazar-Mavé, Jerá,
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
27 Hadorão, Uzal, Dicla,
28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
28 Obal, Abimael, Sabá,
29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. These all were the sons of Joktan.
29 Ofir, Havilá e Jobabe. Todos estes foram filhos de Joctã.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go to Sephar, an eastern mountain.
30 E habitaram desde Messa, indo para Sefar, montanha do Oriente.
31 These were the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations.
31 São estes os filhos de Sem, segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações.
32 These were the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations. And from these the nations were divided in the earth after the flood.
32 São estas as famílias dos filhos de Noé, segundo as suas gerações, nas suas nações; e destes foram disseminadas as nações na terra, depois do dilúvio.
