1 O Yahweh, hear a just cause. Hear my cry; heed my prayer I make without deceitful lips.
1 Ouve, SENHOR, a justiça; atende ao meu clamor; dá ouvidos à minha oração, que não é feita com lábios enganosos.
2 Let my vindication come forth from you; let your eyes see fairness.
2 Saia a minha sentença de diante do teu rosto; atendam os teus olhos à razão.
3 You have tried my heart; you have examined me by night; you have tested me; you found nothing. I have decided that my mouth will not transgress.
3 Provaste o meu coração; visitaste-me de noite; examinaste-me, e nada achaste; propus que a minha boca não transgredirá.
4 As for the works of humankind, by the word of your lips, I have kept from the ways of the violent.
4 Quanto ao trato dos homens, pela palavra dos teus lábios me guardei das veredas do destruidor.
5 I have held my steps in your path My feet will not slip.
5 Dirige os meus passos nos teus caminhos, para que as minhas pegadas não vacilem.
6 As for me, I have called on you because you will answer me, O God. Incline your ear to me. Hear my words.
6 Eu te invoquei, ó Deus, pois me queres ouvir; inclina para mim os teus ouvidos, e escuta as minhas palavras.
7 Show wondrously your acts of loyal love, O Savior of those who take refuge at your right hand from those who rise up against them.
7 Faze maravilhosas as tuas beneficências, ó tu que livras aqueles que em ti confiam dos que se levantam contra a tua destra.
8 Keep me as ⌞the apple of your eye⌟. Hide me in the shadow of your wings
8 Guarda-me como à menina do olho; esconde-me debaixo da sombra das tuas asas,
9 from the ⌞presence⌟ of the wicked who destroy me, those enemies against my life, they that surround me.
9 Dos ímpios que me oprimem, dos meus inimigos mortais que me andam cercando.
10 They have shut off their calloused heart; with their mouth they speak arrogantly.
10 Na sua gordura se encerram, com a boca falam soberbamente.
11 Now they surround us at our every step. They ⌞intend⌟ ⌞to pin⌟ me to the ground.
11 Têm-nos cercado agora nossos passos; e baixaram os seus olhos para a terra;
12 ⌞He is like⌟ a lion; he longs to tear apart, and like a strong lion crouching in hiding places.
12 Parecem-se com o leão que deseja arrebatar a sua presa, e com o leãozinho que se põe em esconderijos.
13 Rise up, O Yahweh, confront ⌞him⌟. Make him bow down. Rescue with your sword my life from the wicked,
13 Levanta-te, Senhor, detém-no, derriba-o, livra a minha alma do ímpio, com a tua espada;
14 from men by your hand, O Yahweh, from men of this world. Their share is in ⌞this life⌟, and you fill their stomach with your treasure. They are satisfied with children. They bequeath their excess to their children.
14 Dos homens com a tua mão, Senhor, dos homens do mundo, cuja porção está nesta vida, e cujo ventre enches do teu tesouro oculto. Estão fartos de filhos e dão os seus sobejos às suas crianças.
15 By contrast, I in righteousness shall see your face. Upon awakening I will be satisfied seeing your form.
15 Quanto a mim, contemplarei a tua face na justiça; eu me satisfarei da tua semelhança quando acordar.
