1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:
2 “Speak to Aaron, and say to him: ‘When you are setting up the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in front of the face of the lampstand.’ ”
2 — Fale com Arão e diga-lhe o seguinte: quando você colocar as sete lamparinas no candelabro , faça com que as lamparinas iluminem o espaço em frente do candelabro.
3 And Aaron did so; he set up the lampstand in front of the face of its lamps, just as Yahweh commanded Moses.
3 E Arão fez assim: colocou as lamparinas de modo que iluminassem o espaço em frente do candelabro, como o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés.
4 And this is ⌞how the lampstand was made⌟, a hammered-work of gold; from its base up to its blossom, it was hammered-work according to the pattern that Yahweh showed Moses; so he made the lampstand.
4 O candelabro era de ouro batido: a sua base, as suas flores, tudo era de ouro batido, de acordo com o modelo que o Senhor havia mostrado a Moisés.
5 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
5 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:
6 “Take the Levites from the midst of the ⌞Israelites⌟ and purify them.
6 — Separe os levitas dos outros israelitas e purifique-os .
7 So you will do to them, to purify them: sprinkle on them waters of purification, and ⌞they will shave their whole body⌟ and wash their garments.
7 Para purificá-los, faça o seguinte: borrife sobre eles a água da purificação. Eles devem rapar todo o corpo e lavar as suas roupas. Assim, ficarão purificados.
8 And they will take a ⌞young bull⌟ and its grain offering of finely milled flour mixed with oil, and you will take a second ⌞young bull⌟ as a sin offering.
8 Então pegarão um touro novo, com a oferta de cereais, feita da melhor farinha misturada com azeite. E você pegará outro touro novo como oferta para tirar pecados.
9 You will bring the Levites ⌞before⌟ the tent of assembly, and you will summon the entire community of the ⌞Israelites⌟.
9 Em seguida você reunirá todo o povo de Israel e fará com que os levitas fiquem em frente da Tenda Sagrada .
10 And you will bring the Levites ⌞before Yahweh⌟, and the ⌞Israelites⌟ will lay their hands on the Levites,
10 Então o povo de Israel porá as mãos sobre a cabeça dos levitas,
11 and ⌞Aaron will offer⌟ the Levites as a wave offering ⌞before Yahweh⌟ from the ⌞Israelites⌟, and they will do the work of Yahweh.
11 e aí Arão separará os levitas para mim como uma oferta especial dos israelitas. Assim, os levitas poderão fazer o meu serviço.
12 And the Levites will lay their hands on the head of the one bull and offer it as a sin offering and the other one as a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
12 Os levitas colocarão as mãos sobre a cabeça dos dois touros. Um deles será oferecido como oferta para tirar pecados, e o outro, como oferta que será completamente queimada para purificar os levitas.
13 And you will present the Levites ⌞before⌟ Aaron and ⌞before⌟ his sons, and he ⌞will offer⌟ them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
13 — Separe os levitas como uma oferta especial para mim, e que Arão e os seus filhos sejam os chefes deles.
14 “And you will separate the Levites from the midst of the ⌞Israelites⌟, and the Levites will be for me.
14 Separe os levitas dos outros israelitas a fim de que sejam meus.
15 And after this the Levites will come to serve at the tent of assembly, and you will purify them, and you ⌞will offer⌟ them as a wave offering.
15 Depois que você purificar e separar os levitas, eles estarão preparados para trabalhar na Tenda.
16 For they are given to me exclusively from the midst of the ⌞Israelites⌟. I have taken them for myself in place of the firstborn of every womb, every firstborn from the ⌞Israelites⌟.
16 Eles foram separados do meio dos israelitas, para serem meus, em lugar dos filhos mais velhos do povo de Israel. Eles são meus.
17 For every firstborn among the ⌞Israelites⌟ is mine, both humankind and animal. On the day I destroyed every firstborn in the land of Egypt I consecrated them to me,
17 Quando matei todos os primeiros filhos dos egípcios, eu separei para mim o filho mais velho de cada família israelita e a primeira cria de cada animal.
18 and I have taken the Levites in the place of every firstborn among the ⌞Israelites⌟.
18 Agora estou ficando com os levitas em lugar de todos os primeiros filhos dos israelitas.
19 And I have given the Levites; they are given to Aaron and his sons from the midst of the ⌞Israelites⌟ to do the work of the ⌞Israelites⌟ in the tent of the assembly and to make atonement for the ⌞Israelites⌟, so a plague will not be among the ⌞Israelites⌟ when the ⌞Israelites⌟ come near the sanctuary.”
19 Agora entrego os levitas a Arão e aos seus filhos como uma oferta dos israelitas a fim de trabalharem na Tenda para o povo de Israel, para conseguirem o perdão dos pecados e para protegerem os israelitas de alguma desgraça , se chegarem muito perto do Lugar Santo .
20 And Moses and Aaron and the entire community of the ⌞Israelites⌟ did to the Levites; everything that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, the ⌞Israelites⌟ did to them.
20 Assim, Moisés, Arão e todo o povo de Israel cumpriram tudo o que o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés a respeito dos levitas.
21 And the Levites purified themselves, and they washed their garments, and ⌞Aaron offered them⌟ as a wave offering ⌞before Yahweh⌟; and Aaron made atonement for them to purify them.
21 Os levitas se purificaram e lavaram as suas roupas, e Arão os separou como uma oferta especial ao Senhor e fez a cerimônia da purificação para eles.
22 After this the Levites came to do their work in the tent of assembly before Aaron and his sons. Just as Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levities, so they did to them.
22 O povo fez tudo o que o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés a respeito dos levitas. Assim, eles foram escolhidos para trabalhar na Tenda Sagrada, dirigidos por Arão e pelos seus filhos.
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
23 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:
24 “This is what is for the Levites: ⌞those twenty-five years old⌟ and above will come to help with the service in the work of the tent of assembly;
24 — A lei a respeito dos levitas é esta: com a idade de vinte e cinco anos cada levita começará o seu trabalho na Tenda Sagrada
25 and ⌞those fifty years old⌟ will return from the service of the work and will serve no longer.
25 e aos cinquenta anos deixará de trabalhar.
26 They can attend their brothers in the tent of assembly to keep their responsibilities, but they will not do work. This is what you will do concerning the Levities and their responsibilities.”
26 Depois dessa idade os levitas poderão ajudar os seus companheiros no trabalho deles na Tenda, porém não serão responsáveis por nenhum serviço. É assim que você deverá organizar o serviço dos levitas.
