1 Who is this, coming from Edom, from Bozrah in bright red garments? Who is this honored in his garment, lying down in his great strength? “It is I, speaking in justice, ⌞mighty⌟ to save!”
1 “Quem é este que vem da cidade de Bosra, a capital de Edom? Quem é este, vestido de roupas vermelhas, luxuosas, que vem marchando forte e poderoso?” “Sou eu — diz o que sou poderoso para salvar.”
2 Why are your garments red, and your garments like he who treads in the winepress?
2 “Mas por que é que a tua roupa está vermelha? Por que é que parece a roupa de quem pisa uvas para fazer vinho?”
3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, and there was no man from the peoples with me. And I trod them in my anger, and I trampled them in my wrath, and spattered their juice on my garments, and stained all my clothing,
3 O Senhor responde: “Eu pisei as nações como quem pisa uvas no tanque, e não havia ninguém para me ajudar. Na minha o seu sangue manchou a minha roupa, que ficou tingida de vermelho.
4 for the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my blood-vengeance has come!
4 Eu havia resolvido que já era tempo de me vingar dos meus inimigos, que havia chegado o dia em que eu deveria salvar o meu povo.
5 And I looked, but there was no helper, and I was appalled, but there was no one who sustains, so my arm came to assist me, and my wrath ⌞was what⌟ sustained me.
5 Olhei, mas não havia ninguém que me ajudasse, fiquei admirado ao ver que não havia quem me apoiasse. Então consegui a vitória com o meu próprio poder, e a minha ira me encheu de força.
6 And I trampled peoples in my anger, and I made them drunk in my wrath, and I brought their juice down to the earth.”
6 Na minha ira, pisei os povos; no meu furor, os esmaguei e derramei o seu sangue no chão.”
7 I will mention the loyal love of Yahweh, the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has done for us, and the greatness of goodness to the house of Israel that he has done to them according to his mercy and the abundance of his loyal love.
7 Anunciarei o amor de Deus, o Senhor , e darei graças por tudo o que ele tem feito; pois o ele mostrou grande bondade para com o seu povo por causa da sua compaixão e do seu grande amor.
8 And he said, “Surely my people are children; they will not break faith.” And he became a Savior to them.
8 O Senhor disse: “Eles são o meu povo, são filhos que nunca me trairão.” E por isso ele os livrou
9 In all their distress, ⌞there was no distress⌟, and the messenger of his ⌞presence⌟ saved them, in his love and compassion he himself redeemed them, and he lifted them up, and he supported them all the days of old.
9 de todos os seus sofrimentos. Quem os salvou foi ele mesmo, e não um anjo ou qualquer outro mensageiro. Por causa do seu amor e da sua compaixão, ele os salvou. E todos os dias, ano após ano, ele os pegava e carregava no colo.
10 But they ⌞were the ones who⌟ rebelled, and they grieved ⌞his Holy Spirit⌟, so he ⌞became an enemy to them⌟; he himself fought against them.
10 Mas eles se revoltaram contra Deus e ofenderam o seu santo Espírito. Por isso, Deus se tornou inimigo deles e começou a lutar contra eles.
11 Then his people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is the one who led up them from the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is the one who puts ⌞his Holy Spirit⌟ inside him,
11 Então eles lembraram do passado, lembraram de Moisés, “Onde está o que salvou do mar o seu povo, que salvou o seu rebanho e Moisés, que era o pastor? Onde está aquele que pôs o seu Espírito em Moisés,
12 ⌞who made⌟ his magnificent arm move ⌞at⌟ the right hand of Moses, ⌞who divided⌟ the waters ⌞before them⌟, to make an everlasting name for himself,
12 que fez com que o seu grande poder estivesse sempre com ele? A fim de conquistar fama eterna, o
13 ⌞who led⌟ them through the depths? They did not stumble like a horse in the desert;
13 e o fez passar pelas águas profundas. Eles passaram seguros, como cavalos selvagens que não tropeçam,
14 like cattle in the valley that goes down, the Spirit of Yahweh ⌞gave him rest⌟, so you lead your people to make a magnificent name for yourself.
14 como o gado que desce calmamente para os vales. O Espírito do Foi assim, ó e conseguiste para ti mesmo um nome famoso.
15 Look from heaven, and see from the lofty residence of your holiness and glory. Where are your zeal and strength? ⌞Your compassion⌟ and mercy to me hold themselves back.
15 Ó Deus, olha para nós lá do céu, lá do lugar santo e Onde está o teu poder e o teu cuidado por nós? Não retires de nós o teu amor e a tua compaixão,
16 For you are our father, although Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, Yahweh are our father, Our Redeemer from of old is your name.
16 pois tu és o nosso Pai. Os nossos antepassados Abraão e Jacó não se importam conosco, não fazem caso de nós. Mas tu, ó e desde o princípio nós te chamamos de “O nosso Salvador”.
17 Why do you make us wander, Yahweh? You harden our heart from your ways ⌞so that we do not fear⌟ you. Turn back for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance.
17 Ó Deus, por que fazes com que nos desviemos dos teus caminhos e tornas o nosso coração duro, para que não te Volta para nós, ó Deus, pois somos os teus servos, somos o povo que escolheste.
18 ⌞Your holy people⌟ took possession for a little while; our adversaries have trampled down your sanctuary.
18 Por um pouco de tempo, nós, o teu povo santo, fomos donos do teu Templo, mas agora ele é pisado pelos nossos inimigos.
19 We have been since antiquity; you did not rule them; ⌞they were not called by your name⌟.
19 Tu nos tratas como se nunca tivesses sido o nosso governador, como se nós nunca tivéssemos sido o teu povo.
