1 For look, the Lord Yahweh of hosts is removing ⌞every source of support⌟ from Jerusalem and from Judah: all of the supplies of bread and all of the supplies of water,
1 Porquanto, eis que o Senhor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos, remove de Jerusalém e de Judá o sustento e o apoio, o suprimento inteiro de pão e todo o suprimento de água.
2 mighty warrior and man of war, judge and prophet, and diviner and elder,
2 O homem poderoso e o homem de guerra, o juiz e o profeta, e o prudente e o ancião.
3 captain of fifty and the honorable men of rank, and counselor and skillful magicians and skillful enchanter.
3 O capitão de cinquenta e o homem honrado, e o conselheiro, e o artífice habilidoso, e o orador eloquente.
4 And I will make boys their princes, and children shall rule over them.
4 E eu darei crianças para serem seus príncipes, e bebês os governarão.
5 And the people will be oppressed ⌞by each other⌟ and a man by his neighbor. The boy will act arrogantly toward the elder, and the dishonorable toward the honorable.
5 E o povo será oprimido, cada um pelo outro, e cada um pelo seu vizinho; a criança comportar-se-á orgulhosamente contra o ancião, e o vil contra o honrado.
6 Indeed, a man will seize his brother in the house of his father: “⌞You have a cloak⌟; you shall be a leader for us, and this heap of ruins shall be under your hand!”
6 Então um homem agarrará seu irmão, da casa de seu pai, dizendo: Tu tens roupa, sê tu nosso governante, e permite que esta ruína esteja sob tua mão;
7 He will lift up his voice on that day, saying, “I will not be a healer; in my house there is no bread and there is no cloak. You shall not make me the leader of the people!”
7 naquele dia ele irá jurar, dizendo: Eu não serei um curandeiro, porque em minha casa não há nem pão nem roupa; não me façam governante do povo.
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen because their speech and their deeds are against Yahweh, defying the eyes of his glory.
8 Pois Jerusalém está arruinada, e Judá está caída; porque suas línguas e seus feitos são contra o SENHOR, para provocar os olhos da sua glória.
9 The look on their faces testifies against them and they declare their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have dealt out evil to themselves.
9 O aspecto dos seus semblantes testemunha contra eles, e eles declaram seu pecado como Sodoma, eles não os escondem. Ai da sua alma! Porque eles fazem o mal como recompensa para si mesmos.
10 Tell the innocent that it is good for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.
10 Dizei vós ao justo, que tudo estará bem com ele, porque comerá do fruto de suas ações.
11 Woe to the wicked! It is bad! For what is done by his hands will be done to him.
11 Ai do perverso! Mal lhe irá, porque a recompensa de suas mãos ser-lhe-á dada.
12 My people—children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, your leaders are misleading you, and they confuse the course of your paths.
12 Quanto ao meu povo, crianças são seus opressores, e mulheres os governam. Ó meu povo, os que te lideram te levam a errar e destroem o caminho de tuas veredas.
13 Yahweh takes his stand to conduct a legal case and takes his stand to judge the peoples.
13 O SENHOR se levanta para apresentar a causa, levanta-se para julgar o povo.
14 Yahweh enters into judgment with the elders of his people and its princes. “And you! You have devoured the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses!
14 O SENHOR entrará em juízo com os anciãos de seu povo e os seus príncipes, pois vós tendes devorado a vinha, o despojo do pobre está em vossas casas.
15 ⌞Why⌟ do you crush my people and grind the face of the poor?” ⌞declares⌟ the Lord Yahweh of hosts.
15 Que intentais vós, que afligis o meu povo como o ferreiro ao metal, fazendo meu povo em pedaços e moeis a face do pobre? Diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos.
16 And Yahweh said: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and they walk with outstretched neck, and they give flirting glances with their eyes, ⌞mincing along as they go⌟, and ⌞with their feet they rattle their bangles⌟,
16 Além do mais o SENHOR diz: Pelo fato das filhas de Sião serem soberbas e andarem com seus pescoços esticados e olhares provocativos, caminhando e andando a passos curtos, ligeiros, a medida que avançam, fazendo um tilintar com seus pés.
17 the Lord will make the heads of the daughters of Zion scabby, and Yahweh will lay their foreheads bare.”
17 Portanto, o Senhor irá afligir com sarna a coroa da cabeça das filhas de Sião e o SENHOR irá expor as partes íntimas delas.
18 In that day the Lord will take away the finery of the anklets and the headbands and the crescent necklaces,
18 Naquele dia o Senhor removerá o esplendor de seus ornamentos tilintantes, que circundam seus pés, e suas tiaras, e seus arcos, circulares como a lua,
19 the pendants and the bracelets and the veils,
19 os cordões, e os braceletes, e os cachecóis,
20 the headdresses and the armlets and the sashes, and the ⌞perfume boxes⌟ and the amulets,
20 os gorros, e os ornamentos das pernas, e as bandanas, e os pingentes, e os brincos,
21 the signet rings and the nose rings,
21 os anéis, as joias de nariz,
22 the festal robes and the mantles, and the cloaks and the handbags,
22 as roupas de gala, e os mantos, e os xales, e as bolsas ornamentadas,
23 and the mirrors and the linen garments, and the turbans and the wraps.
23 os espelhos, e o linho fino, e os turbantes e os véus.
24 And this shall happen: There will be a stench instead of perfume, and a rope instead of a sash, and baldness instead of a well-set hairdo, and a clothing wrap of sackcloth instead of a rich robe, branding instead of beauty.
24 E acontecerá que, ao invés de doce fragrância haverá mau cheiro, e ao invés de um cinto, uma corda, e ao invés de cabelo bem penteado, calvície, e ao invés de peças finas de roupa, uma vestimenta de pano de saco e queimadura ao invés de beleza.
25 Your men shall fall by the sword, and your warriors in battle.
25 Teus homens cairão pela espada, e teus poderosos na guerra.
26 And her gates shall lament and mourn, and she shall be banished; she shall sit upon the ground.
26 E os seus portões lamentarão e prantearão, e ela, estando desolada, sentar-se-á no chão.
