1 Then Moses and the elders of Israel charged the people, ⌞saying⌟, “Keep all of the commandment that I am commanding you ⌞today⌟.
1 Moisés e as autoridades de Israel ordenaram ao povo: "Obedeçam à toda esta lei que hoje lhes dou.
2 And then on the day that you cross the Jordan to the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, then you shall set up ⌞for yourselves⌟ large stones, and you shall paint them with lime,
2 Quando vocês atravessarem o Jordão, e entrarem na terra que o Senhor, o seu Deus, lhes dá, levantem algumas pedras grandes e pintem-nas com cal.
3 and you shall write on them all the words of this law at your crossing, so that you may come into the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, ⌞promised⌟ to you.
3 Escrevam nelas todas as palavras desta lei, assim que tiverem atravessado para entrar na terra que o Senhor, o seu Deus, lhes dá, terra onde manam leite e mel, como o Senhor, o Deus dos seus antepassados, lhes prometeu.
4 And ⌞when you cross the Jordan⌟, you shall set up these stones that I am commanding you about ⌞today⌟ on Mount Ebal, and you shall paint them with lime.
4 E, quando tiverem atravessado o Jordão, levantem essas pedras no monte Ebal, como hoje lhes ordeno, e pintem-nas com cal.
5 And you shall build an altar there for Yahweh your God, an altar of stone, but ⌞you shall not use an iron tool to shape the stones⌟.
5 Construam ali um altar ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, um altar de pedras. Não utilizem ferramenta de ferro nas pedras.
6 You must build the altar of your God with unhewn stones, and you shall sacrifice on it burnt offerings to Yahweh your God.
6 Façam o altar do Senhor, do seu Deus, com pedras brutas, e sobre ele ofereçam holocaustos ao Senhor, ao seu Deus.
7 And you shall sacrifice fellowship offerings, and you shall eat them there, and you shall rejoice ⌞before⌟ Yahweh your God.
7 Ofereçam também sacrifícios de comunhão, e comam e alegrem-se na presença do Senhor, do seu Deus.
8 You shall write on the stone all of the words of this law very clearly.”
8 E nessas pedras que levantarem, vocês escreverão com bastante clareza todas as palavras desta lei".
9 Then Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, “Be silent and hear, Israel, for this day you have become ⌞a people⌟ for Yahweh your God.
9 Então Moisés e os sacerdotes levitas disseram a todo Israel: "Faça silêncio e escute, ó Israel! Agora você se tornou o povo do Senhor, o seu Deus.
10 And listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and observe his commandments and his rules that I am commanding you ⌞today⌟.”
10 Obedeça ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, e siga os seus mandamentos e decretos que hoje lhe dou".
11 And Moses charged the people on that day, ⌞saying⌟,
11 No mesmo dia Moisés ordenou ao povo:
12 “These tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people ⌞when you cross⌟ the Jordan: Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Joseph and Benjamin.
12 Quando vocês tiverem atravessado o Jordão, as tribos que estarão no monte Gerizim para abençoar o povo serão: Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar, José e Benjamim.
13 And these shall stand on Mount Ebal for delivering the curse: Reuben, Gad and Asher and Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.
13 E as tribos que estarão no monte Ebal para declararem maldições serão: Rúben, Gade, Aser, Zebulom, Dã e Naftali.
14 And ⌞the Levites shall declare⌟, and they shall say to each man of Israel with a loud voice,
14 E os levitas recitarão a todo o povo de Israel em alta voz:
15 ‘Cursed be the man that makes a divine image or a cast image, which is a detestable thing for Yahweh, the work of the hand of a skilled craftsman, and then sets it in a hiding place.’ And ⌞all the people shall respond⌟, ‘Amen.’
15 "Maldito quem esculpir uma imagem ou fizer um ídolo fundido, obra de artesãos, detestável ao Senhor, e levantá-lo secretamente". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
16 ‘Cursed be the one who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all of the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
16 "Maldito quem desonrar o seu pai ou a sua mãe". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
17 ‘Cursed be the one who moves the boundary marker of his neighbor.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
17 "Maldito quem mudar o marco de divisa da propriedade do seu próximo". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
18 ‘Cursed be the one who misleads a blind person on the road.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
18 "Maldito quem fizer o cego errar o caminho". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
19 ‘Cursed be the one who deprives the alien, the orphan, and the widow of justice.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
19 "Maldito quem negar justiça ao estrangeiro, ao órfão ou à viúva". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
20 ‘Cursed be the one who lies with the wife of his father, because ⌞he has dishonored his father’s bed⌟.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
20 "Maldito quem se deitar com a mulher do seu pai, desonrando a cama do seu pai". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
21 ‘Cursed be the one who lies with any kind of animal.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
21 "Maldito quem tiver relações sexuais com algum animal". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
22 ‘Cursed be the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
22 "Maldito quem se deitar com a sua irmã, filha do seu pai ou da sua mãe". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
23 ‘Cursed be the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
23 "Maldito quem se deitar com a sua sogra". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
24 ‘Cursed be the one who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
24 "Maldito quem matar secretamente o seu próximo". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
25 ‘Cursed be the one who takes a bribe ⌞to murder an innocent person⌟.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
25 "Maldito quem aceitar pagamento para matar um inocente". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
26 ‘Cursed be the one ⌞who does not keep⌟ the words of this law, to observe them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ ”
26 "Maldito quem não puser em prática as palavras desta lei". Todo o povo dirá: "Amém! "
