1 Ježiš im vyrozprával ďalšie podobenstvo o nebeskom kráľovstve.
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 „S nebeským kráľovstvom je to totiž podobné ako s kráľom, ktorý vystrojil svojmu synovi svadbu. Pozval veľa hostí, a keď bola svadobná hostina pripravená,
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 poslal sluhov, aby ich priviedli, ale hostia odmietli prísť.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Preto poslal ešte raz sluhov s odkazom: ‚Slávnostná hostina je pre vás pripravená, poponáhľajte sa!‘
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ale pozvaní jeho odkaz nebrali vážne. Jeden odišiel na pole, iný za obchodom,
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 podaktorí sa dokonca zmocnili kráľových poslov, zbili ich a niekoľkých aj zabili.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 To kráľa rozhnevalo, poslal oddiely vojska, dal vrahov pobiť a ich mesto vypáliť.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Vtedy povedal svojim poslom: ‚Svadobná hostina je pripravená, ale pozvaní hostia jej neboli hodní.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Choďte na križovatky za mestom, kde je veľa ľudí a pozvite na svadbu každého, koho stretnete.‘
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Poslovia teda šli a priviedli všetkých, ktorých stretli, dobrých aj zlých, takže sa svadobná sieň naplnila.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Keď vstúpil kráľ, aby privítal hostí, zazrel jedného, ktorý si neobliekol pripravené svadobné šaty.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ‚Priateľ môj, ako si sa odvážil prísť bez svadobného odevu?‘ vyčítal mu. Ten nevedel, čo má odpovedať.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Vtedy kráľ rozkázal sluhom: ‚Poviažte ho a vyhoďte von do tmy. Tam bude len nárek a utrpenie.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Lebo všetci sú pozvaní do Božieho kráľovstva, ale Boh prijme len tých, ktorí prijali jeho pozvanie.‘ “
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Farizeji sa stretli a dohodli, čo urobia, aby Ježiša prichytili pri slovách, ktoré by potom mohli použiť na jeho obžalobu.

16 Poslali k nemu svojich žiakov spolu s Herodesovými stúpencami a tí povedali: „Majstre, vieme, že si čestný a že pravdivo učíš ceste k Bohu bez ohľadu na to, aké má kto postavenie.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Tak nám teda povedz: je správne odvádzať rímskemu cisárovi daň?“
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Ale Ježiš postrehol ich zlý úmysel a povedal: „Vy pokrytci! Chcete ma dobehnúť?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Ukážte mi mincu, ktorou sa platí daň!“ Podali mu denár.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 „Koho obraz a meno sú na ňom vyrazené?“
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 „Cisárove,“ odpovedali.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Zaskočení tou odpoveďou ho nechali tak a odišli.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 V ten deň za ním prišli aj saduceji, ktorí tvrdia, že vzkriesenie z mŕtvych nie je možné, a spýtali sa ho:
23 — ausente —
24 „Majstre, v Mojžišovom zákone čítame, že ak zomrie muž, ktorého manželstvo bolo bezdetné, jeho brat je povinný oženiť sa s vdovou a splodiť bratovi potomka, aby sa zachoval jeho rod.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 U nás sa vyskytol takýto prípad: Bolo sedem bratov. Prvý sa oženil a potom bezdetný umrel, takže jeho žena sa stala manželkou druhého brata.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Aj tento umrel bezdetný a takto sa to opakovalo aj s tretím až po siedmeho.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Napokon umrela aj žena.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Ktorému z tých bratov bude po vzkriesení patriť? Bola predsa manželkou všetkých siedmich!“
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Ježiš im odpovedal: „Klamete sami seba, lebo nepoznáte ani Písmo, ani Božiu moc.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Po vzkriesení sa ľudia nebudú ženiť ani vydávať. Budú ako anjeli v nebi, ktorí sa nesobášia.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 A čo sa týka vzkriesenia z mŕtvych, pozorne čítajte Písmo. Ako nazýva Boh sám seba?
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 Ja som Boh Abrahámov, Boh Izákov a Boh Jákobov. On nie je Bohom mŕtvych, ale živých.“
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Tieto odpovede urobili na dav hlboký dojem.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Ale keď sa farizeji dopočuli, ako Ježiš umlčal saducejov, zišli sa
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 a poverili jedného zo znalcov Zákona, aby ho pokúšal:
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 „Majstre, ktoré je najväčšie prikázanie v Zákone?“
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Ježiš mu odpovedal: „Miluj Pána, svojho Boha, celým srdcom, celou dušou aj mysľou.
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 To je prvé a najdôležitejšie prikázanie.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Druhé je mu podobné: Miluj svojho blížneho ako samého seba.
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Tieto dve prikázania v sebe zahŕňajú celý Mojžišov zákon aj učenie prorokov.“
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Keď sa farizeji zhromaždili, Ježiš sa ich opýtal:
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 „Čo si myslíte o Mesiášovi? Čí syn je?“ Odpovedali mu: „Dávidov.“
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Povedal im: „Ako to, že ho potom Dávid vedený Duchom volá svojím Pánom, keď hovorí:
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‚Boh povedal môjmu Pánovi: Seď po mojej pravici, kým ti nepoložím tvojich nepriateľov k nohám?‘
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Ak ho Dávid volá Pánom, ako môže byť aj jeho synom?“
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Nevedeli mu odpovedať ani slovo. Od toho dňa sa už nikto neodvážil nachytať ho nejakými otázkami.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
