2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Faafaa haana hʋ fa aa kpa ba nyuu abee ba bayɩyɛla buloŋ we Wɩɩsɩ tɩyaŋ, nyɛ rɛ ba fa kɩ daga ba weliŋ. Ba fa aa kaŋ ba tɩɩ hʋwɔlɩ rɛ ba balama lee, a kɩ tɩŋ ba nyʋwa.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 Ɛɛ rɛ Saara mɛ gyɩ kɩɩ. Ʋ gyɩ aa tɩŋ ʋ bala Abɩraham nyʋwa rɛ, a kana ʋ kɩ yɩrɩ ʋ tɩɩna. Ɛɛwɩya dɩ mamaa rɛ aa yaa wɩya hʋ aa kpa ŋmanɩɩ, a ta leŋ dɩ kambɩŋ kɩ kaŋ ma wɩɩ buloŋ tɩyaŋ, ɛɛ kɛ ma aa yaa Saara toliye rɛ.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.

Ma kɩ yaa nyɛ dɩ wɩɩ buloŋ ta leŋ dɩ Wɩɩsɩ vɩya ma kyʋwala nɩɩ.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Wɩya hʋ ŋ aa basɩ kateŋsi rɛ nyɛ: Ma buloŋ kaŋ hakɩldɩgɩ, a kɩ fá dɔmɔŋ sikii, a kyo nala hʋ buloŋ aa laa Yesu wɩya di beewɩya ma yaa nɩmmabalɩya rɛ. Ma kaŋ bɔnyɛ abee dɔmɔŋ a kaŋ ma tɩɩ kɩ hʋwɔlɩ dɔmɔŋ lee.

9 Dɩ nal lɛ yaa ɩ wɩbɔŋ ta yaa wɩbɔŋ tuŋ ʋ tɩɩna. Dɩ nal lɛ tʋʋsɩ ɩ ta laa tʋʋsɩ, amɛ sʋla Wɩɩsɩ dɩ ʋ kyiyeli tɩɩna, beewɩya Wɩɩsɩ lɩɩ ma yaa ʋ nala rɛ dɩ ʋ kyiyeli ma.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Beewɩya ba sabɩ Wɩɩsɩ teŋ logiŋ kɩdɩgɩ tɩyaŋ nɛ a baa,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ʋ tɩɩna maga dɩ ʋ leŋ wɩbɔmɔ yayɩ rɛ, aŋ kɩ yaa wɩweliye, a maga dɩ ʋ yaa sɩfɩyaŋ dɩ ʋ bee nal buloŋ sʋma.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Beewɩya nala hʋ buloŋ aa yaa tɩpʋlʋŋ tɩmma Wɩɩsɩ aa deŋ ba rɛ, a kpil ʋ dɩgɩna mɛ a kɩ nɩɩ ba wɩɩkyʋwalɩ. Amɛ ʋ kpa sɩya kyeŋ nala hʋ aa yaa wɩbɔmɔ rɛ.”
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Dɩ mamaa rɛ yaa sɩfɩyaŋ a kɩ yaa wɩweliye, kɩbee rɛ sɩ wuwo yaa ma wɩbɔŋ?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Dɩ mamaa rɛ gba aa na tʋwara akuu ma tɩpʋlʋŋ wɩyaalɩya wɩya, Wɩɩsɩ sɩ kyiyeli ma. Ɛɛwɩya, ma ta kɩ fáá nal buloŋ kambɩŋ a ta leŋ dɩ wɩɩ buloŋ mɛ kɩ dɔŋ ma.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Amɛ ma tɩsɩ tɩyaŋ ma kɩ fá Krisita, a leŋ dɩ ʋ yaa ma Tɩɩna. Saŋa kɛ buloŋ dɩ nal lɛ pɩyɛsɩ ma dɩ ʋ gyɩŋ wɩɩ hʋ aa tɩŋ ma kpa ma bayɩyɛla we Yesu tɩyaŋ, ma ta kaŋ gɩrɩgɩ amɛ ma kpa gyɩrɩma abee sɩfɩyala a daga ba sɩya tɩya ʋ.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Dɩ ʋ rɛ yaa Wɩɩsɩ kyɛrɩ dɩ ma kɩ na tʋwara akuu ma aa yaa wɩya hʋ aa kpa ŋmanɩɩ wɩya, ʋ rɛ kpɩya ma aa na tʋwara akuu ma aa yaa wɩya hʋ aa bɩ kpa ŋmanɩɩ wɩya.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Yesu Krisita tɩɩ sʋba rɛ dɩgɩ dʋŋ a wuwo tuŋ á wɩbɔmɔ buloŋ kyɩŋ a kaŋ kɩ mʋ maakyiye buloŋ. Ʋ yaa tɩpʋlʋŋ tɩɩna rɛ aŋ sʋba wɩbɔŋyaala wɩya, dɩ ʋ wuwo kaŋ ma mʋ Wɩɩsɩ lee. Nihuwobisi kpʋʋ ʋ teŋbii rɛ, amɛ Wɩɩsɩ Wiyesi Welii hʋ leŋ ʋ weye rɛ.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 Ɛɛ hal tɩyaŋ, Wɩɩsɩ Wiyesi Welii hʋ leŋ ʋ mʋ basɩ wɩweliye hʋ a tɩya nɩdʋŋsɩ hʋ ba aa kaŋ vʋwa biŋ nɛ.
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 Nala no rɛ gyɩ vɩya Wɩɩsɩ nyʋwa saŋa hʋ tɩyaŋ Nowa gyɩ aa kpaasɩ nɩɩduworiboribal hʋ. Saŋa no tɩyaŋ Wɩɩsɩ gyɩ di kenyiri rɛ a kɩ gyegili dɩ ba buloŋ bɩrɩmɩ lɩɩ ba wɩbɔmɔ tɩyaŋ ka ba vɩya. Nala kyori dʋŋ nɛ gyɩ gyʋʋ nɩɩduworiboribal hʋ. Nɩɩ hʋ tɩyaŋ nɛ Wɩɩsɩ gyɩ tɩŋa a laa ba mɩɩbol.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Ba gyɩ aa lɩɩ nɩɩ hʋ tɩyaŋ kɩɩ gɛɛ rɛ anɩɩ ba aa foo nal wɩɩkyʋwalnɩɩ. Wɩɩkyʋwalnɩɩ no rɛ laa ma kɩ ta. Dɩ ba aa rɛ foo ɩ wɩɩkyʋwalnɩɩ, ʋ bɩ kɩɩ nɩɩ ɩ teŋ bisiŋ nɛ ba fo ta gɛɛ. Ʋ gɛɛ daga anɩɩ á sʋla Wɩɩsɩ rɛ dɩ ʋ sasɩ á wɩbɔmɔ buloŋ ta aŋ tɩya ma hakɩlweliye. Ʋ gɛɛ daga anɩɩ Yesu Krisita aa sii sʋʋ tɩyaŋ nɛ tɩŋ á sɩ wuwo kaŋ tɩpʋlʋŋ a ko Wɩɩsɩ lee.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Ʋ rɛ lɩɩ dʋnɩya tɩyaŋ a gyɩŋ wɩɩsɩbee a hɔŋ Wɩɩsɩ noduu logiŋ tɩyaŋ. Ʋ rɛ aa deŋ malɩkasɩ abee kɩŋ buloŋ aa kaŋ dee a we wɩɩsɩbee tɩyaŋ.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
