1 For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
1 Por esta causa eu, Paulo, sou o prisioneiro de Cristo Jesus, por amor de vós, gentios,
2 if, indeed, you did hear of the dispensation
2 se é que tendes ouvido a respeito da dispensação da graça de Deus a mim confiada para vós outros;
3 that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few words --
3 pois, segundo uma revelação, me foi dado conhecer o mistério, conforme escrevi há pouco, resumidamente;
4 in regard to which you are able, reading it, to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
4 pelo que, quando ledes, podeis compreender o meu discernimento do mistério de Cristo,
5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit --
5 o qual, em outras gerações, não foi dado a conhecer aos filhos dos homens, como, agora, foi revelado aos seus santos apóstolos e profetas, no Espírito,
6 that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
6 a saber, que os gentios são coerdeiros, membros do mesmo corpo e coparticipantes da promessa em Cristo Jesus por meio do evangelho;
7 of which I became a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
7 do qual fui constituído ministro conforme o dom da graça de Deus a mim concedida segundo a força operante do seu poder.
8 to me -- the less than the least of all the saints -- was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news -- the untraceable riches of the Christ,
8 A mim, o menor de todos os santos, me foi dada esta graça de pregar aos gentios o evangelho das insondáveis riquezas de Cristo
9 and to cause all to see what is the fellowship
9 e manifestar qual seja a dispensação do mistério, desde os séculos, oculto em Deus, que criou todas as coisas,
10 that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly places, through the assembly, the manifold
10 para que, pela igreja, a multiforme sabedoria de Deus se torne conhecida, agora, dos principados e potestades nos lugares celestiais,
11 according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,
11 segundo o eterno propósito que estabeleceu em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor,
12 in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of him,
12 pelo qual temos ousadia e acesso com confiança, mediante a fé nele.
13 wherefore, I ask you not to faint in my tribulations
13 Portanto, vos peço que não desfaleçais nas minhas tribulações por vós, pois nisso está a vossa glória.
14 For this cause I bow
14 Por esta causa, me ponho de joelhos diante do Pai,
15 of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
15 de quem toma o nome toda família, tanto no céu como sobre a terra,
16 that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, with might
16 para que, segundo a riqueza da sua glória, vos conceda que sejais fortalecidos com poder, mediante o seu Espírito no homem interior;
17 that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, in love having been rooted and founded,
17 e, assim, habite Cristo no vosso coração, pela fé, estando vós arraigados e alicerçados em amor,
18 that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
18 a fim de poderdes compreender, com todos os santos, qual é a largura, e o comprimento, e a altura, e a profundidade
19 to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding
19 e conhecer o amor de Cristo, que excede todo entendimento, para que sejais tomados de toda a plenitude de Deus.
20 and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding abundantly
20 Ora, àquele que é poderoso para fazer infinitamente mais do que tudo quanto pedimos ou pensamos, conforme o seu poder que opera em nós,
21 to Him is the glory in the assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.
21 a ele seja a glória, na igreja e em Cristo Jesus, por todas as gerações, para todo o sempre. Amém!
