1 And I saw, and lo, a Lamb having stood upon the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty-four thousands, having the name of his Father written upon their foreheads;
1 Eu vi ainda: o Cordeiro estava de pé no monte Sião, e perto dele cento e quarenta e quatro mil pessoas que traziam escritos na fronte o nome dele e o nome de seu Pai.
2 and I heard a voice out of the heaven, as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of great thunder, and a voice I heard of harpers harping with their harps,
2 Ouvia, entretanto, um coro celeste semelhante ao ruído de muitas águas e ao ribombar de potente trovão. Esse coro que eu ouvia era ainda semelhante a músicos tocando as suas cítaras.
3 and they sing, as it were, a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders, and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred forty-four thousands, who have been bought from the earth;
3 Cantavam como que um cântico novo diante do trono, diante dos quatro Animais e dos Anciãos. Ninguém podia aprender este cântico, a não ser aqueles cento e quarenta e quatro mil que foram resgatados da terra.
4 these are they who with women were not defiled, for they are virgin; these are they who are following the Lamb whithersoever he may go; these were bought from among men -- a first-fruit to God and to the Lamb --
4 Estes são os que não se contaminaram com mulheres, pois são virgens. São eles que acompanham o Cordeiro por onde quer que vá; foram resgatados dentre os homens, como primícias oferecidas a Deus e ao Cordeiro.
5 and in their mouth there was not found guile, for unblemished are they before the throne of God.
5 Em sua boca não se achou mentira, pois são irrepreensíveis.
6 And I saw another messenger flying in mid-heaven, having good news age-during to proclaim to those dwelling upon the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people,
6 Vi, então, outro anjo que voava pelo meio do céu, tendo um evangelho eterno para anunciar aos habitantes da terra e a toda nação, tribo, língua e povo.
7 saying in a great voice, 'Fear you God, and give to Him glory, because come did the hour of His judgment, and bow you before Him who did make the heaven, and the land, and sea, and fountains of waters.'
7 Clamava em alta voz: Temei a Deus, e dai-lhe glória, porque é chegada a hora do seu julgamento. Adorai aquele que fez o céu e a terra, o mar e as fontes.
8 And another messenger did follow, saying, 'Fall, fall, did Babylon, the great city, because of the wine of the wrath of her whoredom she has given to all nations to drink.'
8 Outro anjo seguiu-o, dizendo: Caiu, caiu a grande Babilônia, por ter dado de beber a todas as nações do vinho de sua imundície desenfreada.
9 And a third messenger did follow them, saying in a great voice, 'If any one the beast does bow before, and his image, and does receive a mark upon his forehead, or upon his hand,
9 Um terceiro anjo seguiu-os, dizendo em alta voz: Se alguém adorar a Fera e a sua imagem, e aceitar o seu sinal na fronte ou na mão,
10 he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, that has been mingled unmixed in the cup of His anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy messengers, and before the Lamb,
10 há de beber também o vinho da cólera divina, o vinho puro deitado no cálice da sua ira. Será atormentado pelo fogo e pelo enxofre diante dos seus santos anjos e do Cordeiro.
11 and the smoke of their torment does go up to ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are bowing before the beast and his image, also if any does receive the mark of his name.
11 A fumaça do seu tormento subirá pelos séculos dos séculos. Não terão descanso algum, dia e noite, esses que adoram a Fera e a sua imagem, e todo aquele que acaso tenha recebido o sinal do seu nome.
12 Here is endurance of the saints: here are those keeping the commands of God, and the faith of Jesus.'
12 Eis o momento para apelar para a paciência dos santos, dos fiéis, aos mandamentos de Deus e à fé em Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, 'Write: Happy are the dead who in the Lord are dying from this time!' 'Yes, (says the Spirit,) That they may rest from their labours -- and their works do follow them!'
13 Eu ouvi uma voz do céu, que dizia: Escreve: Felizes os mortos que doravante morrem no Senhor. Sim, diz o Espírito, descansem dos seus trabalhos, pois as suas obras os seguem.
14 And I saw, and lo, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sitting like to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle;
14 Eu vi ainda uma nuvem branca, sobre a qual se sentava como que um Filho do Homem, com a cabeça cingida de coroa de ouro e na mão uma foice afiada.
15 and another messenger did come forth out of the sanctuary crying in a great voice to him who is sitting upon the cloud, 'Send forth your sickle and reap, because come to you has the hour of reaping, because ripe has been the harvest of the earth;'
15 Outro anjo saiu do templo, gritando em voz alta para aquele que estava assentado na nuvem: Lança a tua foice e ceifa, porque é chegada a hora de ceifar, pois está madura a seara da terra.
16 and he who is sitting upon the cloud did put forth his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
16 O Ser que estava assentado na nuvem lançou então a foice à terra, e a terra foi ceifada.
17 And another messenger did come forth out of the sanctuary that is in the heaven, having -- he also -- a sharp sickle,
17 Outro anjo saiu do templo do céu. Tinha também uma foice afiada.
18 and another messenger did come forth out from the altar, having authority over the fire, and he called with a great cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, 'Send forth your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because come to perfection have her grapes;'
18 E outro anjo, aquele que tem poder sobre o fogo, saiu do altar e bradou em alta voz para aquele que tinha a foice afiada: Lança a foice afiada e vindima os cachos da vinha da terra, porque maduras estão as suas uvas.
19 and the messenger did put forth his sickle to the earth, and did gather the vine of the earth, and did cast it to the great wine-press of the wrath of God;
19 O anjo lançou a sua foice à terra e vindimou a vinha da terra, e atirou os cachos no grande lagar da ira de Deus.
20 and trodden was the wine-press outside of the city, and blood did come forth out of the wine-press -- unto the bridles of the horses, a thousand, six hundred furlongs.
20 O lagar foi pisado fora da cidade, e do lagar saiu sangue que atingiu até o nível dos freios dos cavalos pelo espaço de mil e seiscentos estádios.
