1 And I saw, and lo, a Lamb having stood upon the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty-four thousands, having the name of his Father written upon their foreheads;
1 Então vi o Cordeiro em pé no monte Sião, e com ele estavam os 144 mil que tinham o nome dele e o nome de seu Pai escritos na testa.
2 and I heard a voice out of the heaven, as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of great thunder, and a voice I heard of harpers harping with their harps,
2 E ouvi um som que vinha do céu, como o som de fortes ondas do mar, como o som de um poderoso trovão. Era como o som de muitos harpistas tocando juntos.
3 and they sing, as it were, a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders, and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred forty-four thousands, who have been bought from the earth;
3 Esse grande coral cantava um cântico novo diante do trono de Deus e diante dos quatro seres vivos e dos 24 anciãos. Ninguém podia aprender o cântico, a não ser os 144 mil que haviam sido comprados da terra.
4 these are they who with women were not defiled, for they are virgin; these are they who are following the Lamb whithersoever he may go; these were bought from among men -- a first-fruit to God and to the Lamb --
4 Eles se conservaram puros, sem manter relações com mulheres, e seguem o Cordeiro por onde quer que ele vá. Foram comprados dentre os habitantes da terra como oferta especial a Deus e ao Cordeiro.
5 and in their mouth there was not found guile, for unblemished are they before the throne of God.
5 Não mentem; são irrepreensíveis.
6 And I saw another messenger flying in mid-heaven, having good news age-during to proclaim to those dwelling upon the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people,
6 Vi outro anjo que voava no ponto mais alto do céu, levando as boas-novas eternas para anunciá-las aos habitantes da terra, a toda nação, tribo, língua e povo.
7 saying in a great voice, 'Fear you God, and give to Him glory, because come did the hour of His judgment, and bow you before Him who did make the heaven, and the land, and sea, and fountains of waters.'
7 “Temam a Deus!”, dizia em alta voz. “Deem glória a ele, pois chegou o tempo em que ele julgará a humanidade. Adorem aquele que fez os céus, a terra, o mar e todas as fontes de água.”
8 And another messenger did follow, saying, 'Fall, fall, did Babylon, the great city, because of the wine of the wrath of her whoredom she has given to all nations to drink.'
8 Então outro anjo o seguiu, dizendo em alta voz: “Caiu a Babilônia! Caiu a grande cidade que fez todas as nações beberem do vinho da fúria de sua imoralidade!”.
9 And a third messenger did follow them, saying in a great voice, 'If any one the beast does bow before, and his image, and does receive a mark upon his forehead, or upon his hand,
9 Um terceiro anjo os seguiu, dizendo em alta voz: “Aqueles que adorarem a besta e sua estátua, ou aceitarem sua marca na testa ou na mão,
10 he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, that has been mingled unmixed in the cup of His anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy messengers, and before the Lamb,
10 beberão do vinho da fúria de Deus, que foi derramado, sem mistura, na taça da ira de Deus. E serão atormentados com fogo e enxofre na presença dos santos anjos e do Cordeiro.
11 and the smoke of their torment does go up to ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are bowing before the beast and his image, also if any does receive the mark of his name.
11 A fumaça de seu tormento subirá para todo o sempre, e não terão alívio de dia nem de noite, pois adoraram a besta e sua estátua e aceitaram a marca de seu nome”.
12 Here is endurance of the saints: here are those keeping the commands of God, and the faith of Jesus.'
12 Isso significa que o povo santo deve ser perseverante, obedecendo aos mandamentos de Deus e permanecendo fiel a Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, 'Write: Happy are the dead who in the Lord are dying from this time!' 'Yes, (says the Spirit,) That they may rest from their labours -- and their works do follow them!'
13 E ouvi uma voz que vinha do céu, dizendo: “Escreva isto: Felizes os que, de agora em diante, morrem no Senhor. Sim, diz o Espírito, eles são verdadeiramente felizes, pois descansarão de seu trabalho árduo; porque suas boas obras os acompanharão”.
14 And I saw, and lo, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sitting like to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle;
14 Em seguida, vi uma nuvem branca e, sentado na nuvem, alguém semelhante ao Filho do Homem. Tinha uma coroa de ouro na cabeça e uma foice afiada na mão.
15 and another messenger did come forth out of the sanctuary crying in a great voice to him who is sitting upon the cloud, 'Send forth your sickle and reap, because come to you has the hour of reaping, because ripe has been the harvest of the earth;'
15 Então outro anjo veio do templo e gritou bem forte para aquele que estava sentado na nuvem: “Use a foice e comece a ceifar, pois chegou a hora da colheita; a safra da terra está madura!”.
16 and he who is sitting upon the cloud did put forth his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
16 Assim, aquele que estava sentado na nuvem passou a foice sobre a terra, e toda a terra foi ceifada.
17 And another messenger did come forth out of the sanctuary that is in the heaven, having -- he also -- a sharp sickle,
17 Depois disso, outro anjo saiu do templo no céu, e ele também tinha uma foice afiada.
18 and another messenger did come forth out from the altar, having authority over the fire, and he called with a great cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, 'Send forth your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because come to perfection have her grapes;'
18 Então ainda outro anjo, que tinha poder para destruir com fogo, veio do altar e gritou bem forte para o anjo que segurava a foice afiada: “Agora use sua foice para ajuntar os cachos de uvas da videira da terra, pois estão maduras!”.
19 and the messenger did put forth his sickle to the earth, and did gather the vine of the earth, and did cast it to the great wine-press of the wrath of God;
19 O anjo passou a foice sobre a terra e encheu de uvas o grande tanque de prensar da fúria de Deus.
20 and trodden was the wine-press outside of the city, and blood did come forth out of the wine-press -- unto the bridles of the horses, a thousand, six hundred furlongs.
20 As uvas foram pisadas no tanque, fora da cidade, e dele correu sangue como um rio de quase trezentos quilômetros de comprimento, com altura que chegava aos freios de um cavalo.
