Laghano Lya Sambi Kwe Iwanu Wose (RUF) vs VC
1 Apfo mghaleke ghose ghehile na ughutsu na ung'enye na chepfu na ukwilonga pfihile.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Mwighale ne iwana wadowado, iwelekighwe sambi pfawosulukila kong'a ghamatombo, namwe msulukile matombo ghanoghile igholawa mne Imbuli ye Imulungu, ili mkule na ukukombolighwa,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 ka kweli mmanya Imtwatsa ka mluso.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mghendeleni Imtwatsa, yeye ka libwe lye ughima ililemighwe ne iwanu, lekeni lisaghulighwa ne Imulungu ka libwe linoghile kuna yeye.

5 Pfipfila namwe, mumghendele ka ghamabwe gha ughima, imkatsengighwe muwe ing'anda ye chimuhe na kuwa watambika wahenzeluka, kwa kulapfa nambiko tsa muhe itsitogholighwa ne Imulungu kubitila Yesu Kiristu.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kwaapfila Ghamaandiko Mahenzeluka gholonga,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Lelo kuna mwemwe yamtoghola, libwe lino linogha. Lekeni kwa iwanu yang'awotoghola, ka Ghamaandiko Mahenzeluka pfagholonga, “Libwe ililemighwe ne iwanu iwotsenga, liwa libwe kulu lya ghumsingi lya hane membe.”
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 kuya gholonga,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Lekeni mwemwe mwa iwanu imsaghulighwe, watambika wa Mndewa, kingili lye iwanu wahenzeluka, iwanu we Imulungu mwenyegho, iyamsaghulighwe kutsipeta sang'ano ng'ulu tse Imulungu iyawakemile kulawa mchisi mwingile mne ghumwanga ghwake ighukangawatsa.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ghumwande mwemwe ng'amkalile bae iwanu we Imulungu, lekeni sambi mwemwe mwa iwanu wake, ghamatsuwa agho ng'ambokele bae libatsi lyake, lekeni sambi mbokela libatsi lyake.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Wandughu tsangu, nowalombani, mwemwe ka iwahenza na iwabita nzila hano muisi, mtsileke tsitamaa tsihile itsitowa ne muhe tsenu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Mkale ghoya mghati mwe iwanu ing'awommanya Imulungu, hata ka watsowaghutsukilani mtenda ghehile, hawatsoghona ghamatendo ghenu, watsomtunya Imulungu mne litsuwa lyatsakutsa kuwahigha iwanu.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Wahulikitseni iwanu wane ukulu kwaajili ya Imtwatsa, mumuhulikitse imndewa iyali mtawala mkulu,

14 au iwakulu iwasaghulighwe naye kuwahigha iwanu wala iwotenda ghehile na kuwatunya iwanu iwotenda ghanoghile.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kwaapfila Imulungu kobama kubitila mwemwe kutenda ghanoghile, muwatende iwanu wabotsi waleke kulonga mbuli ng'awatsimanyile bae.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Mkale ka iwanu iweyanzale, lekeni mleke kutumila ukwiyanzala kwenu ka chibangitsilo cha kutenda ghehile, mkale ka iwatumwa we Imulungu.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mleke kumbetsa munu wowose, muwanoghele Wakiristu wayenu, mumpfuke Imulungu na mleke kumbetsa imndewa.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mwemwe iwatumwa muwahulikitse watwatsa wenu kwa kuwapfuka, si awala iwanoghile ne iwahole waliheka, ila hata awala iwali wakali.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Mana Imulungu katsombalikini mng'adudumila ghamaghayo ghang'ambamighwe bae mghaye kwaapfila mwomwalangula Imulungu.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Angu mtsopata choni kwa kududumila ukutowighwa kwa matotso ghamtenda? Lekeni ka mwoghanzika kwa kutenda ghanoghile na mwodudumila, Imulungu katsombalikini.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Agho ghagho ghamkemelighwe, kwaapfila Kiristu tsakawadununzikilani mwemwe, kamlekeleni ghumfano, apfo mtende ka pfatendile yeye.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Ng'atendile nzambi bae, wala ng'ana yalonge ughutsu bae.”
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Hawamlighile, yeye ng'awalighile bae, hawamdununze, yeye ng'awatendile wapfuke bae, ila kamlolela Imulungu iyohigha ghoya.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kiristu imwenyegho kabapa nzambi tsetu mlukuli mwake mna msalaba ili tuleke kutenda nzambi na tukale kwa ukumnoghelesa Imulungu. Kwa pfilonda pfake mwemwe muhonetsighwa.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Kwaapfila mwemwe tsamkala ka iwang'olo iwaghile, lekeni sambi mmuyila Imdimi na Mbetetsi wa ughima wenu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
