1 But do, thou, speak the things which become the healthful instruction:
1 Mas você, Tito, ensine o que está de acordo com a doutrina verdadeira.
2 That, aged men, be, sober, grave, sober-minded, healthy in their faith, love, endurance;
2 Ensine os mais velhos a serem moderados, sérios, prudentes e firmes na fé, no amor e na perseverança.
3 Aged women, in the same way, in deportment, as becometh sacred persons, not given to intrigue, nor yet, to much wine, enslaved, teachers of virtue,
3 Aconselhe também as mulheres mais idosas a viverem como devem viver as mulheres dedicadas a Deus. Que elas não sejam caluniadoras, nem muito chegadas ao vinho! Que elas ensinem o que é bom,
4 That they may constrain the young women to be, lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children,
4 para que as mulheres mais jovens aprendam a amar o marido e os filhos
5 soberminded, chaste, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands,that, the word of God, be not defamed;
5 e a ser prudentes, puras, boas donas de casa e obedientes ao marido, a fim de que ninguém fale mal da mensagem de Deus!
6 The younger men, in the same way, exhort thou to be sober-minded:
6 Aconselhe também os homens mais jovens a serem prudentes.
7 In all things, shewing, thyself, an ensample of noble works,in thine instruction, uncorruptness, gravity,
7 Você mesmo deve ser, em tudo, um exemplo de boa conduta. Seja sincero e sério quando estiver ensinando.
8 healthful discourse that cannot be condemned, in order that, he that is of the contrary part, may relent, having nothing to say concerning us that is disparaging:
8 Use palavras certas, para que ninguém possa criticá-lo e para que os inimigos fiquem envergonhados por não terem nada de mau a dizer a nosso respeito.
9 Servants, unto their own masters, to be submitting themselves in all things, to be, well-pleasing, not gainsaying,
9 Que os escravos obedeçam aos seus donos e os agradem em tudo! Que não sejam respondões,
10 not taking anything away, shewing, all good faith,that, the instruction which is of our Saviour God, they may adorn in all things.
10 nem roubem os seus donos! Pelo contrário, que eles mostrem que são sempre bons e fiéis em tudo o que fazem. Desse modo, por causa das coisas que eles fizerem, todos falarão bem da doutrina a respeito de Deus, o nosso Salvador.
11 For the favour of God, bringing salvation for all men, hath shone forth,
11 Pois Deus revelou a sua graça para dar a salvação a todos.
12 Putting us under disciplinein order that,denying ourselves of ungodliness and worldly covetings, in a soberminded and righteous and godly manner, we should live, in the present age,
12 Essa graça nos ensina a abandonarmos a descrença e as paixões mundanas e a vivermos neste mundo uma vida prudente, correta e dedicada a Deus,
13 Prepared to welcome the happy hope and forthshining of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus,
13 enquanto ficamos esperando o dia feliz em que aparecerá a glória do nosso grande Deus e Salvador Jesus Cristo.
14 Who gave himself up in our behalf, that he might redeem us from all manner of lawlessness, and purify for himself a people as his own treasurezealous of noble works.
14 Foi ele quem se deu a si mesmo por nós, a fim de nos livrar de toda maldade e de nos purificar , fazendo de nós um povo que pertence somente a ele e que se dedica a fazer o bem.
15 As to these things, be speaking and exhorting and reproving, with all manner of precept: let, no one, disregard thee!
15 Ensine essas coisas e use toda a sua autoridade para animar e também para repreender os seus ouvintes. E que ninguém despreze você!
