1 In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, Let me not be ashamed to times age-abiding, In thy righteousness, deliver me:
1 Ao Músico-chefe, Salmo de Davi. Em ti, ó SENHOR, eu ponho a minha confiança; não me deixes nunca ser envergonhado; livra-me na tua justiça.
2 Incline unto me, thine ear, Speedily rescue me,Become to me a Rock of refuge, a Place of security, For saving me.
2 Inclina teu ouvido para mim; livra-me rapidamente; sê tu minha rocha forte, uma casa de defesa para me salvar.
3 Because, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art, Therefore, for the sake of thine own Name, wilt thou lead me and guide me?
3 Porque tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza; portanto, por causa do teu nome, lidera-me e guia-me.
4 Wilt thou bring me forth, out of the net which they have hidden for me? For, thou, art my refuge.
4 Puxa-me da rede que eles estenderam secretamente para mim; pois tu és a minha força.
5 Into thy hand, do I commit my spiritThou hast ransomed me, O Yahweh, GOD most faithful.
5 Na tua mão eu entrego o meu espírito; tu me redimiste, ó SENHOR Deus da verdade.
6 I hate such as give heed to false vanities, I, then, in Yahweh, have set my hope.
6 Eu odeio aqueles que prezam as vaidades mentirosas; mas eu confio no SENHOR.
7 I will indeed exult and rejoice, in thy lovingkindness,In that thou hast looked upon my humiliation, thou hast taken note that in distresses was my life;
7 Ficarei feliz e regozijarei na tua misericórdia, porque tu consideraste minha dificuldade; tu conheceste minha alma nas adversidades;
8 And hast not shut me up in the hand of the foe, Thou hast given standing, in a roomy place, unto my feet.
8 e não me entregaste na mão do inimigo; puseste meus pés em um quarto grande.
9 Show me favour, O Yahweh, for in distress am I,Wasted with vexation, is mine eyemy soul and my body;
9 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó SENHOR, porque eu estou em dificuldade; meus olhos são consumidos pela dor; sim, minha alma e meu ventre.
10 For, consumed with sorrow, is my life, and my years with sighing,My strength hath staggered with my humiliation, and, my bones, are without marrow.
10 Porque a minha vida é gasta com a dor, e os meus anos com o suspirar; minha força falha por causa da minha iniquidade, e os meus ossos se consomem.
11 By reason of all mine adversaries, have I become a reproach. Even to my neighbours, altogether, and a dread to mine acquaintance,They who have seen me abroad, have fled from me:
11 Fui uma vergonha entre todos os meus inimigos, mas especialmente entre meus vizinhos, e um temor para meus conhecidos; aqueles que me viram na rua fugiram de mim.
12 I have been forgotten, like one deadout of mind, I have been as a missing vessel.
12 Sou esquecido como um homem morto fora da mente; eu sou como um vaso quebrado.
13 For I have heard the whispering of manyA terror round about! When they have sat in conclave together against me, to take away my life, have they intrigued.
13 Porque eu ouvi a calúnia de muitos; o medo estava em todo lado; enquanto eles juntos tomavam conselhos contra mim, intentaram tomar a minha vida.
14 I, therefore. in thee, have put ray trust, O Yahweh, I have said, My God, thou art!
14 Mas eu confiei em ti, ó SENHOR; eu disse: Tu és o meu Deus.
15 In thy hand, are my times, Rescue me from the hand of my foes and from my pursuers!
15 Meus tempos estão na tua mão; livra-me da mão de meus inimigos, e daqueles que me perseguem.
16 Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant, Save me in thy lovingkindness.
16 Faz tua face brilhar sobre o teu servo; salva-me por causa das tuas misericórdias.
17 O Yahweh! let me not be ashamed, For I have called upon thee, Let the lawless ha ashamed, go down in silence to hades!
17 Não me deixes ser envergonhado, ó SENHOR, porque eu chamei por ti; que os perversos sejam envergonhados, e que eles fiquem em silêncio no túmulo.
18 Let false lips be made dumb,which are speakingagainst a righteous onearrogantly, with pride and contempt.
18 Que os lábios mentirosos sejam silenciados; aqueles que falam coisas graves, orgulhosamente e desdenhosamente contra o justo.
19 How great is thy goodness, which thou hast hidden away for them who revere thee,Thou hast wrought for them who seek refuge in thee, in sight of the sons of men.
19 Ó, quão grande é a tua bondade, que tu guardaste para aqueles que te temem; que tu forjaste para aqueles que confiam em ti, diante dos filhos dos homens!
20 Thou wilt conceal them, in the secrecy of thine own presence, from the conspiracies of men,Thou wilt hide them in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues.
20 Tu os esconderás no segredo da tua presença, do orgulho do homem; tu os manterás secretamente em um pavilhão da contenda das línguas.
21 Blessed be Yahweh, for he hath made wonderful his lovingkindness for me, in a fortified city.
21 Bendito seja o SENHOR; porque ele me mostrou sua maravilhosa bondade em uma cidade forte.
22 But, I, had said in mine alarm, I am cut off from before thine eyes,But, indeed, thou didst hear the voice of my supplication, when I cried for help unto thee.
22 Porque eu disse em minha pressa: Eu sou cortado fora de diante dos teus olhos; contudo tu ouviste a voz das minhas súplicas quando clamei a ti.
23 Love Yahweh, all ye his men of lovingkindness,Faithfulness, doth Yahweh observe, but repayeth abundantly him that worketh proudly.
23 Ó amem ao SENHOR, todos vós seus santos; porque o SENHOR preserva o fiel e abundantemente retribui ao orgulhoso.
24 Be strong, and let your heart be bold, all ye who are waiting for Yahweh.
24 Sede de boa coragem, e ele fortalecerá vosso coração, todos vós que esperais no SENHOR.
