1 And when he came down from the mountain, there followed him large multitudes.
1 Quando Jesus desceu do monte, grandes multidões o seguiam.
2 And 1o! a leper, coming near, began to bow down to him saying,Lord! if thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me.
2 E eis que veio um leproso e o adorava, dizendo: Senhor, se quiseres, podes tornar-me limpo.
3 And, stretching forth the hand, he touched him, saying,I am willing, be cleansed! And, straightway, cleansed was his leprosy.
3 Jesus, pois, estendendo a mão, tocou-o, dizendo: Quero; sê limpo. No mesmo instante ficou purificado da sua lepra.
4 And Jesus saith unto him, Mind! tell, no one,but withdraw, thyself, shew to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses directed, for a witness unto them.
4 Disse-lhe então Jesus: Olha, não contes isto a ninguém; mas vai, mostra-te ao sacerdote, e apresenta a oferta que Moisés determinou, para lhes servir de testemunho.
5 And, when he entered into Capernaum, there came near unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
5 Tendo Jesus entrado em Cafarnaum, chegou-se a ele um centurião que lhe rogava, dizendo:
6 and saying, Lord! my servant, is laid prostrate in the house, a paralytic, fearfully tortured.
6 Senhor, o meu criado jaz em casa paralítico, e horrivelmente atormentado.
7 He saith unto him, I, will come and cure him.
7 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Eu irei, e o curarei.
8 But the centurion, answering, said, Lord! I am of no consideration, that, under my roof, thou shouldest enter,but, only say with a word, and healed shall be my servant.
8 O centurião, porém, replicou-lhe: Senhor, não sou digno de que entres debaixo do meu telhado; mas somente dize uma palavra, e o meu criado há de sarar.
9 For, I also, am a man set under authority, having under myself, soldiers,and I say to this one, Go! and he goeth, and to another, Come! and he cometh, and, to my servant, Do this! and he doeth it.
9 Pois também eu sou homem sujeito à autoridade, e tenho soldados às minhas ordens; e digo a este: Vai, e ele vai; e a outro: Vem, e ele vem; e ao meu servo: Faze isto, e ele o faz.
10 Now Jesus, hearing, marveled, and said to them that followed,Verily, I say unto you, With no one in Israel, such faith as this, have I found.
10 Jesus, ouvindo isso, admirou-se, e disse aos que o seguiam: Em verdade vos digo que a ninguém encontrei em Israel com tamanha fé.
11 But I say unto you, Many from east and west, will have come, and shall recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of the heavens;
11 Também vos digo que muitos virão do oriente e do ocidente, e reclinar-se-ão à mesa de Abraão, Isaque e Jacó, no reino dos céus;
12 Whereas, the sons of the kingdom, shall be cast forth into the darkness outside,There, will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
12 mas os filhos do reino serão lançados nas trevas exteriores; ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Withdraw! and, as thou hast believed, be it done for thee. And healed was the servant in that hour.
13 Então disse Jesus ao centurião: Vai-te, e te seja feito assim como creste. E naquela mesma hora o seu criado sarou.
14 And Jesus, coming into the house of Peter, saw his mother-in-law laid prostrate and in a fever,
14 Ora, tendo Jesus entrado na casa de Pedro, viu a sogra deste de cama; e com febre.
15 and he touched her hand, and the fever left her,and she arose, and began ministering unto him.
15 E tocou-lhe a mão, e a febre a deixou; então ela se levantou, e o servia.
16 But, when, evening, came, they brought unto him many demonized,and he cast out the spirits with a word, and, all who were sick, he cured:
16 Caída a tarde, trouxeram-lhe muitos endemoninhados; e ele com a sua palavra expulsou os espíritos, e curou todos os enfermos;
17 that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,Himself, our weaknesses, took, and, diseases, bare.
17 para que se cumprisse o que fora dito pelo profeta Isaías: Ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades, e levou as nossas doenças.
18 Now Jesus, seeing a multitude about him, gave orders to depart unto the other side.
18 Vendo Jesus uma multidão ao redor de si, deu ordem de partir para o outro lado do mar.
19 And a certain scribe, coming near, said unto him,Teacher; I will follow thee, whithersoever Thou goest.
19 E, aproximando-se um escriba, disse-lhe: Mestre, seguir-te-ei para onde quer que fores.
20 And Jesus saith unto him: The foxes, have, dens, and, the birds of the heavens, nests,but, the Son of Man, hath not where, his head he may recline.
20 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: As raposas têm covis, e as aves do céu têm ninhos; mas o Filho do homem não tem onde reclinar a cabeça.
21 And, another of the disciples, saith unto him,Lord! suffer me, first, to depart, and bury my father.
21 E outro de seus discípulos lhe disse: Senhor, permite-me ir primeiro sepultar meu pai.
22 But, Jesus, saith unto him,Be following me, and leave, the dead, to bury, their own dead.
22 Jesus, porém, respondeu-lhe: Segue-me, e deixa os mortos sepultar os seus próprios mortos.
23 And, when he, entered, into a boat, his disciples followed him.
23 E, entrando ele no barco, seus discípulos o seguiram.
24 And 1o! a great squall, arose in the sea, so that, the boat, was being covered, by the waves,but, he, was sleeping.
24 E eis que se levantou no mar tão grande tempestade que o barco era coberto pelas ondas; ele, porém, estava dormindo.
25 And, coming near, they aroused him, saying, Master! save, we perish!
25 Os discípulos, pois, aproximando-se, o despertaram, dizendo: Salva-nos, Senhor, que estamos perecendo.
26 And he saith unto them, Why, are ye, fearful, little of faith? Then, aroused, he rebuked the winds and the sea,and it became a great calm.
26 Ele lhes respondeu: Por que temeis, homens de pouca fé? Então, levantando-se repreendeu os ventos e o mar, e seguiu-se grande bonança.
27 But, the men, marveled, saying, Whence is this one,that, both the winds and the sea, unto him, give ear?
27 E aqueles homens se maravilharam, dizendo: Que homem é este, que até os ventos e o mar lhe obedecem?
28 And, when he, came, unto the other side, into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him, two men demonized, out of the tombs, coming forth,fierce exceedingly, so that no one could pass that way;
28 Tendo ele chegado ao outro lado, à terra dos gadarenos, saíram-lhe ao encontro dois endemoninhados, vindos dos sepulcros; tão ferozes eram que ninguém podia passar por aquele caminho.
29 and lo! they cried aloud, saying, What have we in common with thee, O Son of God? Hast thou come hither, before the right time, to torment us?
29 E eis que gritaram, dizendo: Que temos nós contigo, Filho de Deus? Vieste aqui atormentar-nos antes do tempo?
30 Now there was, far from them, a herd of many swine, feeding;
30 Ora, a alguma distância deles, andava pastando uma grande manada de porcos.
31 and, the demons, began to beseech him, saying, If thou dost cast us out, send us away, into the herd of swine.
31 E os demônios rogavam-lhe, dizendo: Se nos expulsas, manda-nos entrar naquela manada de porcos.
32 And he said unto them, Withdraw! So, they, going out, departed into the swine,and lo! all the herd rushed down the cliff, into the sea, and died in the waters.
32 Disse-lhes Jesus: Ide. Então saíram, e entraram nos porcos; e eis que toda a manada se precipitou pelo despenhadeiro no mar, perecendo nas águas.
33 And, they who were feeding them, fled,and, departing into the city, reported all things, and what concerned them who had been demonized.
33 Os pastores fugiram e, chegando à cidade, divulgaram todas estas coisas, e o que acontecera aos endemoninhados.
34 And lo! all the city, came out to meet Jesus,and, seeing him, they besought that he would pass on from their bounds.
34 E eis que toda a cidade saiu ao encontro de Jesus; e vendo-o, rogaram-lhe que se retirasse dos seus termos.
