3 “Ouçam, reis! Prestem atenção, governantes! Pois eu cantarei ao S sim, tocarei música para o S
4 O Yahweh! When thou didst come forth out of Seir, When thou didst march along out of the field of Edom, Earth, trembled, Heaven also, poured forth,Yea, dark clouds, poured forth waters;
4 “S enhor , quando saíste de Seir e marchaste desde os campos de Edom, a terra tremeu, e as nuvens do céu despejaram chuva.
5 From, mountains, came down streams In presence of Yahweh,From this Sinai, In presence of Yahweh, God of Israel.
5 Os montes estremeceram na presença do S enhor , o Deus do monte Sinai, na presença do S o Deus de Israel.
6 In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the roads were forsaken,and, the frequenters of highways, betook them to roundabout paths:
6 “Nos dias de Sangar, filho de Anate, e nos dias de Jael, ninguém passava pelas estradas, e os viajantes tomavam caminhos tortuosos.
7 There was a failure of rulers, in Israel, a failure,until I arose, a Deborah, arose, a mother in Israel:
7 Restavam poucos nos povoados de Israel, até que Débora se levantou
8 They chose gods that were new, Then,war at the gates! Was there, a shield, to be seen? or a spear? among forty thousand in Israel?
8 Quando Israel escolheu novos deuses, a guerra chegou às portas das cidades. Mas não se via um só escudo ou lança, entre quarenta mil guerreiros de Israel.
9 My heart for the governors of Israel, for the volunteers among the people, Bless ye Yahweh!
9 Meu coração está com os comandantes de Israel, com aqueles que se ofereceram para lutar. Louvem o S
10 Ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit on carpets, and ye that walk upon the road, speak!
10 “Considerem estas coisas, vocês que montam em jumentas brancas, que se sentam em finas mantas, vocês que caminham pela estrada.
11 In the place of the noise of bowmen among the wells, there, laud yethe righteous acts of Yahweh, the righteous acts of his rule over Israel. Then, had come down to the gates the people of Yahweh.
11 Ouçam os músicos dos povoados, reunidos junto aos bebedouros. Ali relatam as justas vitórias do S as justas vitórias de seus camponeses em Israel. Então o povo do S desceu às portas da cidade.

15 Os príncipes de Issacar estavam com Débora e Baraque; sob suas ordens, desceram ao vale. Mas, na tribo de Rúben, houve grande indecisão.

19 “Os reis de Canaã vieram e lutaram em Taanaque, perto das águas de Megido, mas não levaram despojos de prata.
20 From heaven, was the battle fought,The stars in their courses, fought against Sisera.
20 Desde o céu as estrelas lutaram; as estrelas, em suas órbitas, lutaram contra Sísera.
21 The torrent of Kishon, swept them away, the torrent of olden times, the torrent of Kishon! Let my soul march along, with victorious strength!
21 O rio Quisom os arrastou, o antigo ribeiro, o Quisom; que eu marche adiante com coragem!
22 Then, stamped hoofs of horses, With the gallopings, gallopings of his mighty steeds.
22 Os cascos dos cavalos martelavam o chão; galopavam, galopavam seus poderosos cavalos de guerra.
23 Curse ye Meroz, saith the messenger of Yahweh, Curse ye with a curse, the inhabitants thereof,because they came not in to the help of Yahweh, to the help of Yahweh, against the mighty.
23 ‘Amaldiçoem os habitantes de Meroz’, disse o anjo do S enhor . ‘Amaldiçoem duramente, pois não vieram ajudar o S ajudar o S
24 Blessed above women, shall be Jael, wife of Heber the Kenite,Above women in the tent, be blessed:
24 “Jael, esposa de Héber, o queneu, é a mais abençoada entre as mulheres. Que ela seja a mais abençoada das mulheres que vivem em tendas!
25 Water, he asked, Milk, she gave,In a bowl for nobles, presented cream:
25 Sísera lhe pediu água, e ela lhe deu leite. Numa vasilha digna dos nobres, trouxe-lhe coalhada.
26 Her hand, to the tent-pin, put she forth, and, her right hand, to the toilers mallet,Then smote she Sisera, She shattered his head, Yea she split open and pierced through his temples:
26 Com a mão esquerda, pegou uma estaca de tenda; com a direita, o martelo de trabalhador. Com eles atacou Sísera e esmagou sua cabeça; de um só golpe, rachou e atravessou seu crânio.
27 Between her feet, he bowedhe fell, he lay,Between her feet, he bowedhe fell, Where he bowed, There, he felldestroyed!
27 Ele se curvou, caiu e ali ficou, estirado aos pés de Jael. E, no lugar onde se curvou, ali caiu e morreu.
28 Through the window, looked out and shrilly cried, The mother of Sisera, through the lattice,Why is his chariot ashamed to come? Why delay the wheels of his chariot?
28 “Da janela, a mãe de Sísera olhava para fora; atrás da treliça da janela, clamava: ‘Por que seu carro de guerra demora tanto? Por que não se ouve o som de suas carruagens?’.
29 The wise ladies, her princesses, responded,Nay! she, returned answer to, herself:
29 “Suas acompanhantes mais sábias respondiam, e ela repetia estas palavras a si mesma:
30 Is it not They keep findingdividing spoil, One damsel, two damsels, to every several hero, Spoil, of divers coloured raiment for Sisera, Spoil, of divers coloured raiment, embroidered, Coloured raiment richly embroidered, on the necks of them who are taken as spoil?
30 ‘Devem estar repartindo os despojos que tomaram; uma ou duas moças para cada homem. Haverá túnicas coloridas para Sísera, túnicas coloridas e bordadas. Sem dúvida, no despojo haverá túnicas coloridas e bordadas dos dois lados’.
31 So, perish all thine enemies, O Yahweh, But be, they who love him, as the going forth of the sun, in his might! And the land had rest forty years.
31 “S enhor , que todos os teus inimigos assim sejam destruídos! Mas, aqueles que te amam, que se levantem como o sol com toda a sua força!”. Então houve paz na terra durante quarenta anos.
