Joel 1
Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs NTLH
1 The word of Yahweh, which came unto Joel, son of Pethuel.
1 Esta é a mensagem que o Senhor Deus deu a Joel, filho de Petuel.
2 Hear this, ye elders, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land,hath this ever happened in your days? or in the days of your fathers?
2 Prestem atenção, velhos! Escute, povo de Judá! Já aconteceu alguma coisa tão terrível como esta, em nossos dias ou no tempo dos nossos antepassados?
3 Concerning it, to your children, tell ye the story,and your children, to their children, and their children, to the generation following:
3 Digam aos seus filhos o que aconteceu; que eles contem aos seus filhos, e que estes falem sobre isso à
4 That which was left by the creeping locust, hath the swarming locust eaten, and, that which was left by the swarming locust, hath the grass locust eaten; and, that which was left by the grass locust, hath the corn locust eaten.
4 Vieram nuvens e mais nuvens de gafanhotos, e comeram todas as plantações. O que os primeiros gafanhotos deixaram foi devorado pelos que vieram depois.
5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep, and howl, all ye drinkers of wine,over the new wine, because it hath been cut off from your mouth.
5 Acordem, beberrões! Acordem e chorem, vocês que gostam de vinho, pois as uvas foram destruídas, e não haverá vinho novo para beber.
6 For, a nation, hath come up over my land, bold, and without number,his teeth, are the teeth of a lion, and, the fangs of a lioness, hath he!
6 Vieram os gafanhotos, como um exército enorme e poderoso, e invadiram o meu país. Os seus dentes eram como os de um leão e afiados como dentes de uma leoa.
7 He hath turned my vine to a waste, and my fig-tree to splinters,he hath, barked it clean, and cast it down, bleached are its branches.
7 Destruíram as nossas parreiras e acabaram com as nossas figueiras. Arrancaram as cascas das árvores, deixando os galhos completamente brancos.
8 Wail thou, like a virgin girded with sackcloth, for the owner of her youth.
8 Chorem como uma jovem vestida de luto, que chora a morte do seu noivo.
9 Cut off are the meal-offering and the drink-offering, from the house of Yahweh,In grief are the priests, the attendants on Yahweh:
9 Os sacerdotes, os servos de Deus, choram no Templo do porque não há mais ofertas de alimento nem de vinho.
10 Laid waste is the field, in grief is the soil,for laid waste is the corn, abashed is the new wine, languisheth the oil.
10 Os campos estão arrasados, a terra está de luto, pois os cereais foram destruídos, e as parreiras e as oliveiras secaram.
11 Turn pale, ye husbandmen, howl, ye vinedressers, over the wheat, and over the barley,for perished is the harvest of the field.
11 Fiquem desesperados, vocês que trabalham nos campos; chorem, vocês que cuidam das parreiras; pois não há trigo nem Todas as colheitas foram destruídas.
12 The vine, is abashed, and, the fig-tree, languisheth,pomegranate, palm also, and appleall the trees of the field, have withered, Yea abashed is gladness, away from the sons of men.
12 As parreiras e as figueiras secaram; estão secas as romãzeiras, as palmeiras, as macieiras e todas as outras árvores frutíferas. O povo todo está triste.
13 Gird yourselves and beat the breastye priests, howl, ye attendants of the altar, go in and wrap yourselves for the night in sackcloth, ye attendants on my God,for, withholden from the house of your God, are the meal-offering and the drink- offering.
13 Sacerdotes, vocês que apresentam as ofertas no altar, vistam roupa feita de pano grosseiro e chorem. Servos do meu Deus, venham ao pátio do Templo e chorem a noite inteira. Pois na casa do nosso Deus não há mais ofertas de alimento nem de vinho.
14 Hallow ye a fast, Call a solemn assembly, Gather, O elders, all the inhabitants of the land, unto the house of Yahweh your God,and make ye outcry unto Yahweh.
14 Convoquem uma reunião no Templo e anunciem um dia de jejum. Reúnam as autoridades e todo o povo de Judá no Templo do e orem a ele pedindo socorro.
15 Alas for the day! For near is the day of Yahweh, and, as a veritable Destruction from the Destroyer, shall it come.
15 Ah! Está chegando o Dia do Senhor , em que o Todo-Poderoso vai trazer destruição. Será um dia de terror!
16 Is it not, before our eyes, that, food, hath been cut off? From the house of our God, rejoicing and exultation.
16 Sem podermos fazer nada, vimos as nossas plantações serem destruídas. No Templo do nosso Deus não há alegria nem festa.
17 Rotted hath the seed, under their clods, Laid waste are their stores, Thrown down are the garners,Yea abashed is the corn.
17 Nos campos secos, as sementes não brotam; não há colheita de trigo, e os depósitos de cereais estão caindo aos pedaços.
18 How do the beasts groan! Perplexed are the herds of oxen, because there is no pasture for them,even, the flocks of sheep, are destroyed!
18 O gado está mugindo de fome, e os bois andam tontos de um lado para o outro porque não há pasto. As ovelhas também estão morrendo.
19 Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I cry,for, a fire, hath consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and, a flame, hath set ablaze all the trees of the field.
19 Eu clamo a ti, ó Senhor ! As árvores e os pastos estão secos, como se um fogo tivesse queimado tudo.
20 Even the beasts of the field, moan unto thee,because dried up are the channels of water, and, a fire, hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
20 Até os animais selvagens pedem socorro a ti porque os rios secaram, e por toda parte a seca acabou com o capim.
