Joel 1
Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs BKJ
1 The word of Yahweh, which came unto Joel, son of Pethuel.
1 A palavra do SENHOR, que veio a Joel, filho de Petuel.
2 Hear this, ye elders, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land,hath this ever happened in your days? or in the days of your fathers?
2 Ouvi isto, vós anciãos, e dai ouvidos, todos os habitantes da terra: Isto aconteceu em vossos dias, ou nos dias de vossos pais?
3 Concerning it, to your children, tell ye the story,and your children, to their children, and their children, to the generation following:
3 Dizei isto a vossos filhos, e que os vossos filhos digam a seus filhos, e os filhos desses à outra geração.
4 That which was left by the creeping locust, hath the swarming locust eaten, and, that which was left by the swarming locust, hath the grass locust eaten; and, that which was left by the grass locust, hath the corn locust eaten.
4 O que ficou da taturana, a locusta comeu, e o que ficou da locusta, a lagarta verde comeu, e o que ficou da lagarta verde, a lagarta de borboleta comeu.
5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep, and howl, all ye drinkers of wine,over the new wine, because it hath been cut off from your mouth.
5 Despertai, vós, bêbados, e chorai; gemei, todos vós que bebeis vinho, por causa do vinho novo, porque é tirado da vossa boca.
6 For, a nation, hath come up over my land, bold, and without number,his teeth, are the teeth of a lion, and, the fangs of a lioness, hath he!
6 Porquanto uma nação subiu contra a minha terra, forte e sem número; cujos dentes são como dentes de um leão, e ela tem a queixada de um grande leão.
7 He hath turned my vine to a waste, and my fig-tree to splinters,he hath, barked it clean, and cast it down, bleached are its branches.
7 Ela tornou a minha videira em dejeto, e tirou a casca da minha figueira; despiu-a toda, e a lançou fora; os seus galhos se embranqueceram.
8 Wail thou, like a virgin girded with sackcloth, for the owner of her youth.
8 Lamenta como uma virgem envolvida em pano de saco pelo marido da sua juventude.
9 Cut off are the meal-offering and the drink-offering, from the house of Yahweh,In grief are the priests, the attendants on Yahweh:
9 A oferta de alimento e a oferta de bebida foram cortadas da casa do SENHOR; os sacerdotes, ministros do SENHOR, lamentam.
10 Laid waste is the field, in grief is the soil,for laid waste is the corn, abashed is the new wine, languisheth the oil.
10 O campo está arruinado, e a terra lamenta; porque o trigo é desperdiçado; o vinho novo se secou, o azeite se acaba.
11 Turn pale, ye husbandmen, howl, ye vinedressers, over the wheat, and over the barley,for perished is the harvest of the field.
11 Envergonhai-vos, ó lavradores; chorai, vós, ó produtores de vinho, pelo trigo e pela cevada; porque a colheita do campo pereceu.
12 The vine, is abashed, and, the fig-tree, languisheth,pomegranate, palm also, and appleall the trees of the field, have withered, Yea abashed is gladness, away from the sons of men.
12 A videira está seca, a figueira murchou, a romeira também, e a palmeira, e a macieira; todas as árvores do campo estão secas, porque a alegria dos filhos dos homens secou.
13 Gird yourselves and beat the breastye priests, howl, ye attendants of the altar, go in and wrap yourselves for the night in sackcloth, ye attendants on my God,for, withholden from the house of your God, are the meal-offering and the drink- offering.
13 Cingi-vos e lamentai-vos, sacerdotes; gemei, ministros do altar; venham, e passai toda a noite em pano de saco, vós, ministros do meu Deus; porque a oferta de carne e a oferta de bebida foram cortadas da casa de vosso Deus.
14 Hallow ye a fast, Call a solemn assembly, Gather, O elders, all the inhabitants of the land, unto the house of Yahweh your God,and make ye outcry unto Yahweh.
14 Santificai um jejum, convocai uma assembleia solene, reuni os anciãos e todos os habitantes desta terra na casa do SENHOR vosso Deus, e clamai ao SENHOR.
15 Alas for the day! For near is the day of Yahweh, and, as a veritable Destruction from the Destroyer, shall it come.
15 Ai do dia! Porque o dia do SENHOR está perto, e como uma destruição do Todo-Poderoso virá.
16 Is it not, before our eyes, that, food, hath been cut off? From the house of our God, rejoicing and exultation.
16 Porventura o mantimento não está cortado de diante de nossos olhos, sim a alegria e o regozijo da casa de nosso Deus?
17 Rotted hath the seed, under their clods, Laid waste are their stores, Thrown down are the garners,Yea abashed is the corn.
17 A semente está podre debaixo dos seus torrões, os celeiros foram assolados, os armazéns estão quebrados, porque o trigo secou.
18 How do the beasts groan! Perplexed are the herds of oxen, because there is no pasture for them,even, the flocks of sheep, are destroyed!
18 Como gemem os animais! As manadas de gados estão perplexas, porque não têm pasto; sim os rebanhos de ovelhas foram desolados.
19 Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I cry,for, a fire, hath consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and, a flame, hath set ablaze all the trees of the field.
19 Ó SENHOR, a ti clamarei, porque o fogo devorou os pastos do deserto, e a chama queimou todas as árvores do campo.
20 Even the beasts of the field, moan unto thee,because dried up are the channels of water, and, a fire, hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
20 Todos os animais do campo também clamam a ti; porque os rios de água se secaram, e o fogo devorou os pastos do deserto.
