1 Peso de Moabe. Certamente numa noite foi destruída Ar de Moabe, e foi desfeita; certamente numa noite foi destruída Quir de Moabe e foi desfeita.
2 He hath gone up to Bayith and Dibon, to the high places, to weep,On Nebo and on Medeba, Moab is howling, On all their heads, a baldness, Every beard, clipped.
2 Vai subindo a Bajite, e a Dibom, aos lugares altos, para chorar; por Nebo e por Medeba clamará Moabe; todas as cabeças ficarão calvas, e toda a barba será rapada.
3 In their streets, have they girded them with sackcloth,On their housetops, and in their broadways, every one is howlingmelting in tears;
3 Cingiram-se de sacos nas suas ruas; nos seus terraços e nas suas praças todos andam gritando, e choram abundantemente.
4 And Heshbon, hath made outcry, and Elealeh, Unto Jahaz, hath been heard their voice,For this cause, do the armed men of Moab roar, Every mans soul, quivereth to him.
4 Assim Hesbom como Eleale, andam gritando; até Jaaz se ouve a sua voz; por isso os armados de Moabe clamam; a sua alma lhes será penosa.
5 Mine own heart, for Moab continueth to make outcry, Her fugitive, as far as Zoar, is like a heifer of three years; For the accent of Luhith, with weeping, they ascend, For by the way of Horonaiman outcry of destruction, they excite;
5 O meu coração clama por causa de Moabe; os seus fugitivos foram até Zoar, como uma novilha de três anos; porque vão chorando pela subida de Luíte, porque no caminho de Horonaim levantam um lastimoso pranto.
6 For, the waters of Nimrim, shall become desolation,For grass, hath dried up, Herbage hath failed, Green thing, hath not sprung up!
6 Porque as águas de Ninrim serão pura assolação; porque já secou o feno, acabou a erva, e não há verdura alguma.
7 For this cause, the savings they had made and that which they had stored, Over the torrent-bed of the willows, shall they bear them.
7 Por isso a abundância que ajuntaram, e o que guardaram, ao ribeiro dos salgueiros o levarão.
8 For the outcry hath gone round the boundary of Moab,As far as Eglaim, the howling thereof, And to Beer-elim, the howling thereof.
8 Porque o pranto rodeará aos limites de Moabe; até Eglaim chegará o seu clamor, e ainda até Beer-Elim chegará o seu lamento.
9 For the waters of Dimon, are full of blood, For I will lay upon Dimon new troubles,To the escaped of Moab, the lions, Even to the survivors on the soil.
9 Porquanto as águas de Dimom estão cheias de sangue, porque ainda acrescentarei mais a Dimom; leões contra aqueles que escaparem de Moabe e contra o restante da terra.
