1 A prayer by Habakkuk the prophet,in the manner of an Ode.
1 Oração de Habacuque, o profeta, sobre Sigionote.
2 O Yahweh, I have heard tidings of thee, I am afraid. O Yahweh! Thy workin the midst of the years, O revive it, in the midst of the years, wilt thou make known? In trouble, wilt thou remember, compassion?
2 Ó SENHOR, ouvi o teu discurso, e temi; ó SENHOR, aviva a tua obra no meio dos anos, no meio dos anos faze-a conhecida; na ira lembra-te da misericórdia.
3 GOD, from Teman, cometh in, and, the Holy One, from Mount Paran. Selah. His splendour, hath covered the heavens, and, his praise, hath filled the earth:
3 Deus veio de Temã, e o Santo do monte de Parã. Selá. Sua glória cobriu os céus, e a terra encheu-se do seu louvor.
4 And, a brightness, as light, appeareth, Rays, out of his hand, hath he,and, there, is the hiding of his power.
4 E o seu resplendor era como a luz; ele tinha raios saindo de Sua mão, e ali estava o esconderijo da sua força.
5 Before him, marcheth pestilence,and fever, goeth forth, at his feet:
5 Adiante dele ia a peste, e brasas ardentes saíam aos seus pés.
6 He hath stood and measured the earth, he hath looked, and caused nations to tremble, and, scattered as dust, are the perpetual mountains, and, sunk, are the age-abiding hills,Forthgoings age-abiding, are his.
6 Ele parou, e mediu a terra; contemplou e separou as nações; e os montes perpétuos foram espalhados; as colinas eternas se curvaram, seus caminhos são eternos.
7 Under distress, saw I the tents of Ethiopia,tremble, do the curtains of the land of Midian.
7 Eu vi as tendas de Cusã em aflição; e as cortinas da terra de Midiã tremiam.
8 Against the rivers, is Yahweh wroth? Against the rivers, is thine anger? Against the sea, is thine indignation? For thou wilt ride on Thy horses, Thy chariots, salvation!
8 O SENHOR estava descontente com os rios? A tua ira era contra os ribeiros? A tua indignação era contra o mar, visto que andas montado sobre os teus cavalos e nas tuas carruagens de salvação?
9 To nakedness, is bared thy bow, oaths of chastisementsong! Selah. With rivers, thou dost cleave open the land.
9 O teu arco se fez completamente descoberto, de acordo com os juramentos das tribos, até mesmo tua palavra. Selá. Tu fendeste a terra com rios.
10 The mountains, have seen theethey tremble, a downpour of waters, hath passed along,the roaring deep, hath given forth, his voice, on highhis hand, hath he uplifted.
10 Os montes te viram, e tremeram; a inundação das águas passou; o abismo proferiu sua voz, e levantou as suas mãos ao alto.
11 Sun, moon, have stood still, on high,like light, thine arrows, speed along, like brightness, is the flash of thy spear.
11 O sol e a lua pararam nas suas habitações; à luz das suas flechas andaram, e ao resplendor da tua lança reluzente.
12 In wrath, dost thou stride through the land,in anger, dost thou thresh the nations.
12 Marchaste pela terra com indignação, trilhaste os pagãos com ira.
13 Thou hast come forth to the salvation of thy people, to salvation, with thine Anointed One,Thou hast crushed the Head out of the house of the lawless one, baring the foundation up to the neck, Selah.
13 Tu saíste para a salvação do teu povo, até mesmo para a salvação do teu ungido; tu feriste a cabeça da casa do perverso, descobrindo a fundação até o pescoço. Selá.
14 Thou hast pierced, with his own staves, the head of his chiefs, they storm along, to scatter me,their exultant thought, is, in very deed, to devour the oppressed one, in a secret place!
14 Tu atravessaste com as suas lanças a cabeça das suas vilas; eles saíram como um vendaval para me espalhar; a sua alegria era como se estivessem para devorar o pobre em segredo.
15 Thou hast driven, into the sea, thy chariot-horses. Foaming are the mighty waters!
15 Tu marchaste pelo mar com os teus cavalos, pela multidão de grandes águas.
16 I heard, and I trembled within me, at the voice, my lips, quivered, decay, entered, my bones, and, in my limbs, I trembled,though I am to find rest, in the day of distress, when their invader, cometh up against the people.
16 Quando o ouvi, a minha barriga tremeu, meus lábios se estremeceram à sua voz; a podridão entrou nos meus ossos, e estremeci dentro de mim; descansarei no dia da tribulação, quando ele subir contra o povo e invadi-los com suas tropas.
17 Though, the fig-tree, should not blossom, and there be no sprouting in the vines, the yield of the olive, should have deceived, and, the fields, not have brought forth food,the flock, have been consumed out of the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls,
17 Mesmo que a figueira não floresça, nem haja fruto nas videiras; ainda que o trabalho da oliveira falhe, e os campos não produzam alimento; ainda que o rebanho seja cortado do seu aprisco, e não haja gado nos estábulos;
18 Yet, I, in Yahweh, will rejoice,I will exult in the God of my salvation.
18 Ainda assim regozijarei no SENHOR; exultarei no Deus da minha salvação.
19 Yahweh, My Lord, is my strength, therefore hath he made my feet like hinds, and, upon my high places, will he cause me to march along. To the chief musician, on my double harp.
19 O Senhor Deus é a minha força, e ele fará os meus pés como os das corças, e me fará andar sobre os meus lugares altos. Para o cantor-mor sobre os meus instrumentos de corda.
