1 And Joseph could not restrain himself before all who were stationed near him, so he cried outHave forth every man from me! And there stood no man with him, when Joseph made himself known unto his brethren,
1 Então, José, não se podendo conter diante de todos os que estavam com ele, bradou: Fazei sair a todos da minha presença! E ninguém ficou com ele, quando José se deu a conhecer a seus irmãos.
2 Then gave he forth his voice in weeping,and the Egyptians heard, and the house of Pharaoh heard.
2 E levantou a voz em choro, de maneira que os egípcios o ouviam e também a casa de Faraó.
3 Then said Joseph unto his brethren: I, am Joseph, is my father yet alive? But his brethren could not answer him, for they were terrified because of him.
3 E disse a seus irmãos: Eu sou José; vive ainda meu pai? E seus irmãos não lhe puderam responder, porque ficaram atemorizados perante ele.
4 Then said Joseph unto his brethrenDraw near I pray you, unto me. And they drew near. And he saidI, am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
4 Disse José a seus irmãos: Agora, chegai-vos a mim. E chegaram-se. Então, disse: Eu sou José, vosso irmão, a quem vendestes para o Egito.
5 But, now, do not grieve, neither let it be vexing in your eyes, that ye sold me hither,for, to save life, did God send me before you.
5 Agora, pois, não vos entristeçais, nem vos irriteis contra vós mesmos por me haverdes vendido para aqui; porque, para conservação da vida, Deus me enviou adiante de vós.
6 For these two years, hath the famine been in the midst of the land,and, yet five years, are there, in which there shall be neither ploughing, nor harvest.
6 Porque já houve dois anos de fome na terra, e ainda restam cinco anos em que não haverá lavoura nem colheita.
7 So then God sent me before you, to plant for you a remainder in the earth,and to save you alive, by a great deliverance,
7 Deus me enviou adiante de vós, para conservar vossa sucessão na terra e para vos preservar a vida por um grande livramento.
8 Now, therefore it was not ye, who sent me hither, but, God, himself,who also appointed me to be a father to Pharaoh, and a lord to all his house, and a ruler over all the land of Egypt.
8 Assim, não fostes vós que me enviastes para cá, e sim Deus, que me pôs por pai de Faraó, e senhor de toda a sua casa, e como governador em toda a terra do Egito.
9 Haste ye and go up unto my father, then shall ye say unto himThus saith thy son Joseph, God hath appointed me lord to all Egypt,come down unto me do not delay;
9 Apressai-vos, subi a meu pai e dizei-lhe: Assim manda dizer teu filho José: Deus me pôs por senhor em toda terra do Egito; desce a mim, não te demores.
10 so shalt thou dwell in the land of Goshen, and shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy sons, and thy sons sons,and thy flocks and thy herds and all that is thine;
10 Habitarás na terra de Gósen e estarás perto de mim, tu, teus filhos, os filhos de teus filhos, os teus rebanhos, o teu gado e tudo quanto tens.
11 so will I sustain thee, there, for there are yet five years of famine,lest thou come to povertythou and thy house and all who are thine.
11 Aí te sustentarei, porque ainda haverá cinco anos de fome; para que não te empobreças, tu e tua casa e tudo o que tens.
12 Now lo! your own eyes do see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin,that it is my own mouth, that doth speak unto you.
12 Eis que vedes por vós mesmos, e meu irmão Benjamim vê também, que sou eu mesmo quem vos fala.
13 As soon as ye have told my father all my honour in Egypt, and all that ye have seen, so soon shall ye hasten and bring down my father hither.
13 Anunciai a meu pai toda a minha glória no Egito e tudo o que tendes visto; apressai-vos e fazei descer meu pai para aqui.
14 Then fell he upon the neck of Benjamin his brother, and wept,and Benjamin wept on his neck.
14 E, lançando-se ao pescoço de Benjamim, seu irmão, chorou; e, abraçado com ele, chorou também Benjamim.
15 Then kissed he all his brethren, and wept upon them,and, thereafter, his brethren spake with him.
15 José beijou a todos os seus irmãos e chorou sobre eles; depois, seus irmãos falaram com ele.
16 Now, the report, was heard by the house of Pharaoh, saying, The brethren of Joseph have come in, And it was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
16 Fez-se ouvir na casa de Faraó esta notícia: São vindos os irmãos de José; e isto foi agradável a Faraó e a seus oficiais.
17 So then Pharaoh said unto JosephSay unto thy brethren This, do,lade your asses, and go enter into the land of Canaan;
17 Disse Faraó a José: Dize a teus irmãos: Fazei isto: carregai os vossos animais e parti; tornai à terra de Canaã,
18 and fetch your father and your households and come in unto me,that I may give you the best of the land of Egypt, and eat ye the fat of the land.
18 tomai a vosso pai e a vossas famílias e vinde para mim; dar-vos-ei o melhor da terra do Egito, e comereis a fartura da terra.
19 Thou, therefore command them, This, do ye,Take you out of the land of Egypt, waggons for your little ones and for your wives, so shall ye bring your father and come in.
19 Ordena-lhes também: Fazei isto: levai da terra do Egito carros para vossos filhinhos e para vossas mulheres, trazei vosso pai e vinde.
20 Your eye, moreover, let it not look with pity upon your goods,for, the best of all the land of Egypt, is, yours.
20 Não vos preocupeis com coisa alguma dos vossos haveres, porque o melhor de toda a terra do Egito será vosso.
21 And the sons of Israel did so, and Joseph gave them waggons, at the bidding of Pharaoh,and gave them provisions for the way:
21 E os filhos de Israel fizeram assim. José lhes deu carros, conforme o mandado de Faraó; também lhes deu provisão para o caminho.
22 to all of them, gave he to each man changes of raiment,but, to Benjamin, he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.
22 A cada um de todos eles deu vestes festivais, mas a Benjamim deu trezentas moedas de prata e cinco vestes festivais.
23 Moreover, to his father, sent he as followethten he-asses, laden from the best of Egypt,and ten she-asses laden with corn and bread and nourishing food for his father for the way.
23 Também enviou a seu pai dez jumentos carregados do melhor do Egito, e dez jumentos carregados de cereais e pão, e provisão para o seu pai, para o caminho.
24 Thus sent he forth his brethren and they departed,and he said unto them, Do not fall out by the way.
24 E despediu os seus irmãos. Ao partirem, disse-lhes: Não contendais pelo caminho.
25 And they went up out of Egypt,and came into the land of Canaan, unto Jacob their father.
25 Então, subiram do Egito, e vieram à terra de Canaã, a Jacó, seu pai,
26 And they told him sayingJoseph: is, yet alive, yea, indeed, he, is ruler in all the land of Egypt. And his heart became faint, for he believed them not.
26 e lhe disseram: José ainda vive e é governador de toda a terra do Egito. Com isto, o coração lhe ficou como sem palpitar, porque não lhes deu crédito.
27 So they spake unto him all the words of Joseph which he had spoken unto them h then saw he the waggons, which Joseph had sent to carry him,and the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
27 Porém, havendo-lhe eles contado todas as palavras que José lhes falara, e vendo Jacó, seu pai, os carros que José enviara para levá-lo, reviveu-se-lhe o espírito.
28 And Israel said, Enough! Joseph my son is, yet alive, I must go and see him before I die!
28 E disse Israel: Basta; ainda vive meu filho José; irei e o verei antes que eu morra.
