1 When Yahweh thy God, shall cut off the nations whose land Yahweh thy God is giving thee,and thou shalt dispossess them, and dwell in their cities and in their houses,
1 Quando o SENHOR teu Deus expulsar as nações, cuja terra o SENHOR teu Deus te dá, e as sucederes, e habitares em suas cidades, e em suas casas;
2 three cities, shalt thou set apart for thee,in the midst of thy land which Yahweh thy God is giving thee to possess.
2 separarás três cidades para ti, no meio da tua terra, que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá, para possuí-la.
3 Thou shalt prepare for thee a way, and shalt divide into three parts the boundary of thy land which Yahweh thy God shall cause thee to inherit,and it shall be that every manslayer shall flee thither.
3 Prepararás um caminho, e dividirás os termos da tua terra, que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá como herança, em três partes, para que todo homicida possa fugir para lá.
4 And, this, is the case of the manslayer, who shall flee thither and live,Whoso shall smite his neighbour unwittingly, he, not having hated him aforetime;
4 E este é o caso do homicida, que fugirá para lá, para que viva: aquele que matar o seu próximo, sem intenção, a quem não odiou nos tempos passados;
5 as when one entereth with his neighbour into a forest, to fell trees, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe, to cut down the tree, and the head flieth off from the handle, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die, he, shall flee into one of these cities, and live;
5 como quando um homem entrar no bosque com o seu próximo, para cortar madeira, e a sua mão desferir um golpe com o machado para cortar a árvore, e a lâmina escapar do cabo, e ferir o seu próximo, de modo que morra; ele fugirá a uma dessas cidades, e viverá;
6 lest the blood redeemer pursue the manslayer because his heart is hot, and overtake him because the way is long, and he smite him so as to take away his life,he not being worthy of death, seeing that he had not been hating him aforetime.
6 para que o vingador do sangue não persiga o homicida, enquanto seu coração estiver enfurecido, e não o alcance, porque o caminho é longo, e lhe mate; porque ele não foi culpado da morte, porque não o odiava, nos tempos passados.
7 For this cause, am I commanding thee saying,Three cities, shalt thou set apart for thee.
7 Por isso te ordeno, dizendo: Separarás para ti três cidades.
8 But, if Yahweh thy God should enlarge thy heralds, as he aware unto thy fathers,and should give thee all the land, which he spake of giving unto thy fathers;
8 E se o SENHOR teu Deus aumentar os teus termos, como ele jurou aos teus pais, e te der toda a terra que prometeu dar aos teus pais,
9 because thou dost observe all this commandment to do it which I am commanding thee to-day, to love Yahweh thy God and to walk in his paths all the days, then shalt thou add unto thee yet three cities, unto these three;
9 se guardares todos esses mandamentos para cumprires, o que te ordeno neste dia, de amar o SENHOR teu Deus e de andar sempre nos seus caminhos; então acrescentarás para ti mais três cidades, além destas três,
10 that innocent blood may not be sired in the midst of thy land, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance,and so shed-blood be upon thee.
10 para que não se derrame sangue inocente em tua terra, que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá como herança, e para que não haja sangue sobre ti.
11 But, when any man shall be hating his neighbour, and shall lie in wait for him and rise up against him, and smite him so as to take away his life that he dieth,and shall then flee into one of these cities,
11 Mas se algum homem odiar seu próximo, e ficar à espreita, à sua espera, e se levantar contra ele, e o ferir mortalmente, de modo que morra, e fugir a uma dessas cidades,
12 then shall the elders of his city send and fetch him from thence,and deliver him into the hand of the blood redeemer that he die;
12 então os anciãos de sua cidade o mandarão buscar e o tirarão dali, e o entregarão na mão do vingador de sangue, para que morra.
13 thine eye shall not look with pity upon him,so shall thou consume the shedding of innocent blood out of Israel and it shah go well with thee.
13 O teu olho não se apiedará dele, mas removerás de Israel a culpa do sangue inocente, para que tudo vá bem contigo.
14 Thou shall not move back the boundary of thy neighbour, by which they set bounds at first,in thine inheritance which thou shall receive in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving thee to possess.
14 Não removerás o marco do teu próximo, que desde tempos antigos colocaram na tua herança, que herdarás na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá por possessão.
15 One witness I shall not rise up, against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, with regard to any sin that he may commit,at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses, must a matter be establish.
15 Não se levantará uma única testemunha contra um homem, por alguma iniquidade, ou por algum pecado, em algum pecado que peque; da boca de duas testemunhas, ou da boca de três testemunhas, se estabelecerá a questão.
16 When there shall rise up a wrongful witness against a man,to answer against him perversely,
16 Se uma falsa testemunha se levantar contra algum homem, para testemunhar contra ele, o que é errado,
17 then shall the two men who are at variance stand before Yahweh,before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days;
17 então os dois homens entre quem houver a controvérsia, ficarão de pé perante o SENHOR, diante dos sacerdotes e dos juízes, que existirem naqueles dias,
18 and the judges shall make diligent inquisition,and lo! if the witness be, a false witness and, falsely, have answered against his brother,
18 e os juízes indagarão diligentemente, e eis que, se a testemunha for uma falsa testemunha, e testemunhar falsamente contra seu irmão,
19 then shall ye do unto him as he had thought to de unto his brother,so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst;
19 então fareis a ele o que ele pensou fazer a seu irmão; assim tu tirarás o mal do teu meio.
20 and, they who remain shall hear and fear,and not go on to do again according to this wicked thing, in thy midst:
20 E aqueles que permanecerem ouvirão, e temerão, e a partir de então, não cometerão mais esse mal entre vós.
21 neither shall thine eye pity,life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
21 E o teu olho não se apiedará; mas será vida por vida, olho por olho, dente por dente, mão por mão, pé por pé.
