1 Sons, are ye unto Yahweh your God,ye shall not cut yourselves, neither shall ye put baldness between your eyes for the dead.
1 Vós sois os filhos do SENHOR vosso Deus; não vos ferireis, nem fareis nenhuma calvície entre os teus olhos pelos mortos.
2 For, a holy people, thou art unto Yahweh thy God,and, of thee, did Yahweh make choice, that thou shouldest become his people as a treasure, above all the peoples that are on the face of the ground.
2 Porque tu és um povo santo para o SENHOR teu Deus, e o SENHOR te escolheu para que sejas um povo peculiar para ele, acima de todas as nações que estão sobre a terra.
3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
3 Não comerás nada abominável.
4 These, are the beasts which ye may eat,the ox, the young of sheep, and the young of goats;
4 Estes são os animais que comereis: o boi, as ovelhas, e as cabras,
5 the hart and the gazelle and the roebuck,and the wild goat and the mountain goat, and the wild ox, and the mountain sheep.
5 o veado, e o cervo, e o gamo, a cabra montês, e o antílope adax, o boi silvestre e o carneiro montês.
6 And every beast that parteth the hoof and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, chewing the cud, among beasts, the same, shall ye eat.
6 E todo animal que tiver o casco fendido, e dividir a fenda em duas garras, e remoer ou ruminar entre os animais, esses comereis.
7 Nevertheless these, shall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, and of them that divide the cloven hoof,the camel and the hare and the rabbit for, though they do chew the cud, yet the hoof, do they not part, unclean, they are unto you.
7 No entanto estes não comereis entre os que remoem ou ruminam ou entre os que dividem o casco fendido: como o camelo, a lebre e o coelho; pois eles ruminam, mas seu casco não é dividido; portanto, eles são imundos para vós.
8 And, the swine, because though he doth divide the hoof, yet he cheweth not the cud, unclean, he is unto you,of their flesh, shall ye not eat, and their carcases, shall ye not touch.
8 E os porcos, porque seu casco é dividido, mas eles não remoem nem ruminam, são imundos para vós; não comereis a sua carne, nem tocareis em seus cadáveres.
9 These, may ye eat of all that that are in the waters,whatsoever hath fins and scales, ye may eat;
9 Esses comereis, entre todos os que estão nas águas: todos os que têm barbatanas e escamas comereis;
10 and, whatsoever hath not, fins and scales, ye may not eat,unclean, it is unto you.
10 e tudo o que não tiver barbatanas e escamas não podereis comer; será imundo para vós.
11 Of every clean bird, ye may eat;
11 De todas as aves limpas comereis.
12 saving these, of which ye may not eat,the eagle and the ossifrage and the osprey;
12 Mas estas são as que não comereis: a águia, o quebrantosso, o xofrango,
13 and the vulture and the kite, and the falcon after its kind;
13 e o abutre, o falcão, e o milhafre, segundo a sua espécie,
14 and every raven after its kind;
14 e todo o corvo segundo a sua espécie,
15 and the female ostrich, and the male ostrich and the sea-gull,and the hawk, after its kind;
15 e a coruja, e o falcão noturno, e gaivota e o gavião, segundo a sua espécie,
16 and the pelican and the bittern, and the swan;
16 e o bufo, e a coruja, e o cisne,
17 and the vomiting pelican and the little vulture and the gannet;
17 e o pelicano, e o abutre, e o cormorão,
18 and the stork, and the parrot, after its kind,and the mountain-cock, and the bat.
18 e a cegonha, e a garça segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
19 And, as for every creeping thing that flieth, unclean, it is unto you,they, shall not be eaten.
19 E todo animal rastejante que voa é imundo para vós; não devereis comê-los.
20 All clean fowls, ye may eat.
20 Mas de todas as aves limpas podereis comer.
21 Ye shall not eat any thing that dieth of itself: to the sojourner who is within thy gates, mayest thou give it and he may eat it or thou mayest sell it to a foreigner, for a holy people, art thou unto Yahweh thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid, in the milk of its dam.
21 Não comereis de qualquer animal que tenha morrido naturalmente, tu o darás ao estrangeiro que estiver dentro de tuas portas, para que possa comê-lo; ou poderás vendê-lo a um estrangeiro, pois és um povo santo para o SENHOR teu Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito no leite da sua mãe.
22 Thou shalt surely tithe, all the increase of thy seed,which the field bringeth forth year by year.
22 Verdadeiramente darás todo o acréscimo da tua semente, que o campo produz ano após ano.
23 And thou shalt eat before Yahweh thy Godin the place which he shall choose to make a habitation for his name there,the tithe of thy corn thy new wine and thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock,that thou mayest learn to revere Yahweh thy God all the days.
23 E, diante do SENHOR teu Deus, no lugar que ele escolher para ali colocar o seu nome, comerás o dízimo do teu grão, do teu vinho, e do teu azeite, e os primogênitos dos teus gados e dos teus rebanhos; para que possas aprender a temer o SENHOR teu Deus sempre.
24 But, when the way becometh too long for thee because thou canst not carry it, because the place is too far for thee which Yahweh thy God shall choose to put his name there,because Yahweh thy God blesseth thee,
24 E se o caminho for longo demais para ti, de modo que não sejas capaz de carregá-los, ou se estiver longe de ti o lugar que o SENHOR teu Deus escolher para ali colocar o seu nome, quando o SENHOR teu Deus te tiver abençoado,
25 then shalt thou turn it into silver,and shalt bind up the silver in thy hand, and shalt journey unto the place, which Yahweh thy God shall choose;
25 então vende-os, por dinheiro, e toma o dinheiro à tua mão, e vai ao lugar que o SENHOR teu Deus escolher;
26 and shalt turn the silver into whatsoever thy soul desirethof the herd or of the flock, or of wine or of strong drink, or of whatsoever thy soul shall ask thee for,and shalt eat it there, before Yahweh thy God, and shalt rejoice, thou and thy household,
26 e darás esse dinheiro por tudo o que a tua alma desejar, por bois, ou por ovelhas, ou por vinho, ou por bebida forte, ou por tudo o que a tua alma desejar: e comerás diante do SENHOR teu Deus, e te alegrarás, tu e a tua casa,
27 and, the Levite who is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him,for he hath neither portion nor inheritance with thee.
27 e o levita que estiver dentro das tuas portas, não o abandonarás; porque ele não tem parte nem herança contigo.
28 At the end of three years, shalt thou bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in that year,and shalt lay it up within thy gates;
28 No fim de três anos, trarás todo o dízimo de teu acréscimo no mesmo ano, e o colocarás dentro das tuas portas;
29 and the Levite shall come inbecause he hath neither portion nor inheritance with theeand the sojourner and the fatherless and the widow who are within thy gates, and they shall eat and be satisfied,that Yahweh thy God may bless thee, in all the work of thy hand which thou shalt do.
29 e o levita (porque não tem parte nem herança contigo), e o estrangeiro, e o órfão, e a viúva, que estiverem dentro das tuas portas, virão e comerão, e se saciarão; para que o SENHOR teu Deus possa te abençoar em toda a obra de tuas mãos que fizeres.
