1 Moreover we make known unto you, brethren, the favour of God which hath been given in the assemblies of Macedonia,
1 Além disso, irmãos, vos fazemos conhecer a graça de Deus concedida às igrejas da Macedônia;
2 That, in a great testing of tribulation, the superabounding of their joy and their deep destitution, superabounded unto the riches of their liberality;
2 como em grande prova de aflição, a abundância de sua alegria e sua profunda pobreza abundou em riquezas da sua liberalidade.
3 That, according to power, I bear witness, and beyond power, of their own accord, ,
3 Porque do seu poder, eu dou testemunho, sim, além do seu poder, eles estavam dispostos de si mesmos;
4 With much exhortation, entreating of us the favour and the fellowship of the ministry which was for the saints;
4 orando com muitas súplicas, que recebêssemos o dom, e assumíssemos a comunhão da ministração para com os santos.
5 And, not merely as we hoped, but, themselves, gave they, first, unto the Lord and unto us through Gods will,
5 E isso eles fizeram, não como nós esperávamos, mas primeiramente a si mesmos se deram ao Senhor, e a nós, pela vontade de Deus.
6 To the end we should exhort Titus, in order that, according as he before made a beginning, so, he should also complete unto you this favour also.
6 De tal modo desejamos que Tito, assim como havia começado, ele também terminasse em vós esta graça.
7 But, just as, in everything, ye superabound,in faith, and discourse, and knowledge, and all earnestness, and in the love among you which proceedeth from us, in order that, in this favour also, ye would superabound.
7 Portanto, assim como abundais em todas as coisas, em fé, e em palavra, e em conhecimento, e em toda a diligência, e em vosso amor para conosco, veja para que abundeis nesta graça também.
8 Not by way of injunction, do I speak, but through, others, earnestness, and, the genuineness of your own love, putting to the test.
8 Eu não falo como mandamento, mas por ocasião da presteza dos outros, e para provar a sinceridade de vosso amor.
9 For ye are taking knowledge of the favour of our Lord Jesus Christ ,how that, for your sakes, he became destitutealthough he was, rich, in order that, ye, by his destitution, might be enriched.
9 Porque vós conheceis a graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o qual, embora fosse rico, por causa de vós tornou-se pobre; para que pela sua pobreza, fôsseis ricos.
10 And, a judgment, herein, do I give,for, this, unto you, is profitable,who, indeed, not only of the doing, but of the desiring, made for yourselves a beginning a year ago;
10 E nisto eu dou o meu conselho; porque isto é conveniente para vós que começastes há um ano, não só a fazê-lo, senão também a desejar fazê-lo.
11 Howbeit, now, the doing also, complete ye, in order that, even according to the forwardness of the desiring, so, may be the completingout of what ye have.
11 Agora, porém, completai o já começado, para que, assim como houve prontidão de vontade, haja também a realização, segundo o que tendes.
12 For, if the forwardness is set forth, according to what one may have, he is well approved, not according to what one hath not.
12 Porque, se há primeiro uma mente disposta, ela é aceita segundo o que um homem tem, e não segundo o que ele não tem.
13 For, not that unto others should be relief, and unto you distress , but, by equality, in the present season, your surplus for their deficiency,
13 Mas, não digo isto para que os outros homens sejam aliviados, e vós sobrecarregados,
14 In order that their surplus may come to be for your deficiency: that there may come about an equality:
14 mas para igualdade; para que neste tempo presente, a vossa abundância possa suprir a falta deles, para que também a sua abundância supra a vossa falta, e haja igualdade;
15 Even as it is writtenHe that
15 como está escrito: O que muito colheu não teve sobras; e o que pouco colheu, não teve falta.
16 Thanks, however, unto God!who is putting the same earnestness in your behalf in the heart of Titus,
16 Mas, graças a Deus, que pôs o mesmo cuidado sincero no coração de Tito por vós.
17 In that, though, indeed, the exhortation, he welcomed; yet already being, greatly in earnest, of his own accord, hath he gone forth unto you.
17 Porque, de fato, ele aceitou a exortação; mas sendo muito prestativo, voluntariamente partiu para vós.
18 Howbeit, we also set forward, with him, the brother, whose praise in the Glad Tidings, through all the assemblies:
18 E nós enviamos com ele o irmão, cujo louvor no evangelho está presente em todas as igrejas;
19 Not only so, however, but he hath also been appointed by the assemblies, as a fellow-traveler with us in this favour, which is being ministered by us with a view to the Lords glory and our earnest desire:
19 e não só isto, mas foi também escolhido pelas igrejas para viajar conosco nesta graça, que é ministrada por nós para glória do mesmo Senhor, e declaração de sua mente disposta;
20 Arranging thislest anyone, upon us, should cast blame, in this munificence which is being ministered by us;
20 evitando isto, que algum homem nos culpe por esta abundância, que é ministrada por nós;
21 For we provide things honourable, not only before Lord, but also before men.
21 porque temos em mente as coisas honestas não só à vista do Senhor, mas também à vista dos homens.
22 Moreover we have set forward, with them, our brother whom we have proved, in many things, ofttimes, earnest,but, now, much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence towards you.
22 E nós enviamos com ele nosso irmão, o qual muitas vezes já provamos ser diligente em muitas coisas, mas agora muito mais diligente, pela grande confiança que eu tenho em vós.
23 Whether as regardeth Titus, he is a partner of mine, and, towards you, a fellow-worker. or our brethren, apostles of assemblies, and Christs glory.
23 Se qualquer um inquirir de Tito, ele é meu companheiro e colaborador, para convosco; ou se os nossos irmãos forem inquiridos, eles são os mensageiros das igrejas e a glória de Cristo.
24 The proof of your love, therefore, and of our boasting in your behalf, shew ye, unto them, in the face of the assemblies.
24 Portanto, mostrai-lhes, e perante as igrejas, a prova do vosso amor e da nossa glória em seu favor.
