1 I could wish ye would bear with me as to some little foolishness,Nay! do even bear with me!
1 Espero que vocês suportem um pouco da minha insensatez. Sim, por favor, sejam pacientes comigo.
2 For I am jealous over you with a jealousy, of God; for I myself betrothed you unto one husband, to present, a chaste virgin, unto the Christ,
2 O zelo que tenho por vocês é um zelo que vem de Deus. Eu os prometi a um único marido, Cristo, querendo apresentá-los a ele como uma virgem pura.
3 But I fear lest, by any means, as, the serpent, completely deceived Eve, in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the singleness and the chasteness which are unto the Christ.
3 O que receio, e quero evitar, é que assim como a serpente enganou Eva com astúcia, a mente de vocês seja corrompida e se desvie da sua sincera e pura devoção a Cristo.
4 For, if, indeed, he that cometh, is proclaiming, another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or, a different Spirit, ye are receiving, which ye had not received, or a different glad-message, which ye have never welcomed, ye are, well, bearing.
4 Pois, se alguém lhes vem pregando um Jesus que não é aquele que pregamos, ou se vocês acolhem um espírito diferente do que acolheram ou um evangelho diferente do que aceitaram, vocês o suportam facilmente.
5 For I reckon not to have come a whit behind the exceeding overmuch apostles;
5 Todavia, não me julgo nem um pouco inferior a esses "super-apóstolos".
6 And, even if uncultured in my discourse, certainly not in my knowledge,but, in every way, having made manifest, in all things, unto you.
6 Eu posso não ser um orador eloqüente; contudo tenho conhecimento. De fato, já manifestamos isso a vocês em todo tipo de situação.
7 Or, a sin, did I commitabasing, myself, that, ye, might be exalted,in that, free of charge, Gods glad-message, I announced unto you?
7 Será que cometi algum pecado ao humilhar-me a fim de elevá-los, pregando-lhes gratuitamente o evangelho de Deus?
8 Other assemblies, I despoiled, receiving supplies that I might minister, unto you;
8 Despojei outras igrejas, recebendo delas sustento, a fim de servi-los.
9 And, being present with you, and having come short, I was not burdensome to anyone,for, my deficiency, the brethren, coming from Macedonia, helped to make up;and, in everything, without burden unto you, I kept, myselfand will keep!
9 Quando estive entre vocês e passei por alguma necessidade, não fui um peso para ninguém; pois os irmãos, quando vieram da Macedônia, supriram aquilo de que eu necessitava. Fiz tudo para não ser pesado a vocês, e continuarei a agir assim.
10 Truth of Christ is in me, that, this boasting, shall not be silenced unto me, in the regions of Achaia.
10 Tão certo como a verdade de Cristo está em mim, ninguém na região da Acaia poderá privar-me deste orgulho.
11 Wherefore? Because I love you not? God, knoweth!
11 Por quê? Por que não os amo? Deus sabe que os amo!
12 But, what I am doing, I also will do,that I may cut off the occasion of them who are wishing an occasion, that, wherein they are boasting themselves, they may be found even as also, we.
12 E continuarei fazendo o que faço, a fim de não dar oportunidade àqueles que desejam encontrar ocasião de serem considerados iguais a nós nas coisas de que se orgulham.
13 For, such as these, are false apostles, deceitful workers, transfiguring themselves into apostles of Christ.
13 Pois tais homens são falsos apóstolos, obreiros enganosos, fingindo-se apóstolos de Cristo.
14 And no marvel! for, Satan himself, doth transfigure himself into a messenger of light!
14 Isto não é de admirar, pois o próprio Satanás se disfarça de anjo de luz.
15 No great thing, therefore, if, his ministers also, are transfiguring themselves as ministers of righteousness!whose end, shall be according to their works.
15 Portanto, não é surpresa que os seus servos finjam que são servos da justiça. O fim deles será o que as suas ações merecem.
16 Again, I saylet no one deem me to be, foolish; but, otherwise, at least, as foolish, give me welcome, that, I also, some little, may boast myself.
16 Faço questão de repetir: ninguém me considere insensato. Mas se vocês assim me consideram, recebam-me como receberiam um insensato, a fim de que eu me orgulhe um pouco.
17 What I am saying, not according to the Lord, am I saying, but as in foolishness,in this my boastful confidence!
17 Ao ostentar este orgulho, não estou falando segundo o Senhor, mas como insensato.
18 Since, many, are boasting after the flesh, I also, will boast;
18 Visto que muitos estão se vangloriando de modo bem humano, eu também me orgulharei.
19 For, gladly, do ye bear with the foolish, being , discreet,
19 Vocês, por serem tão sábios, suportam de boa vontade os insensatos!
20 For ye bear with itif anyone enslaveth you, if any devoureth, if anyone taketh, if anyone lifteth himself up, if anyone, on the face, doth smite you!
20 De fato, vocês suportam até quem os escraviza ou os explora, ou quem se exalta ou lhes fere a face.
21 By way of disparagement, am I speaking,as though, we, had been weak! whereas, in whatsoever anyone dareth, in foolishness I speak, I also, dare:
21 Para minha vergonha, admito que fomos fracos demais para isso! Naquilo em que todos os outros se atrevem a gloriar-se — falo como insensato — eu também me atrevo.
22 Hebrews, are they? I also, Israelites, are they? I also, seed of Abraham, are they? I also,
22 São eles hebreus? Eu também. São israelitas? Eu também. São descendentes de Abraão? Eu também.
23 Ministers of Christ, are they? As one deranged I am talking, I, above measure!in toils, superabundantly, in prisons, superabundantly, in stripes, to excess, in deaths, oft,
23 São eles servos de Cristo? — estou fora de mim para falar desta forma — eu ainda mais: trabalhei muito mais, fui encarcerado mais vezes, fui açoitado mais severamente e exposto à morte repetidas vezes.
24 From Jews, five times, forty-save-one, have I received,
24 Cinco vezes recebi dos judeus trinta e nove açoites.
25 Thrice, have I been beaten with rods, once, have I been stoned, thrice, have I been shipwrecked, a day and night, in the deep, have I spent;
25 Três vezes fui golpeado com varas, uma vez apedrejado, três vezes sofri naufrágio, passei uma noite e um dia exposto à fúria do mar.
26 In journeyings oft, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from my own race, in perils from Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the desert, in perils by the sea, in perils among false brethren,
26 Estive continuamente viajando de uma parte a outra, enfrentei perigos nos rios, perigos de assaltantes, perigos dos meus compatriotas, perigos dos gentios; perigos na cidade, perigos no deserto, perigos no mar, e perigos dos falsos irmãos.
27 in toil and hardship, in watchings, oft, in hunger and thirst, in fasting, oft, in cold and nakedness:
27 Trabalhei arduamente; muitas vezes fiquei sem dormir, passei fome e sede, e muitas vezes fiquei em jejum; suportei frio e nudez.
28 Apart from the things without, my daily care,my anxiety for all the assemblies;
28 Além disso, enfrento diariamente uma pressão interior, a saber, a minha preocupação com todas as igrejas.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and, I, am not burning?
29 Quem está fraco, que eu não me sinta fraco? Quem não se escandaliza, que eu não me queime por dentro?
30 If, to boast, is needful, in the things that concern my weakness, will I boast.
30 Se devo me orgulhar, que seja nas coisas que mostram a minha fraqueza.
31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus, knowethHe who is blessed unto the agesthat I am not speaking falsely:
31 O Deus e Pai do Senhor Jesus, que é bendito para sempre, sabe que não estou mentindo.
32 In Damascus, the governor under Aretas the king, was guarding the city of Damascenes, to apprehend me,
32 Em Damasco, o governador nomeado pelo rei Aretas mandou que se vigiasse a cidade para me prender.
33 And, through a window, was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
33 Mas de uma janela na muralha fui baixado numa cesta e escapei das mãos dele.
