1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Oro pe, Tupana'ga pe mo'emo'ẽ pe mongovo ojiheva'ero. Gareheva'ero ko pe ikwava'ẽharamo Tupana'ga pe nhanderuvihavuhuhete'ga pe. Ga pe mo'ẽ ojipe'g̃a hugwi pe mboporavykyavo ojive. Ga pe pojyka tomombe'u ti g̃a nhirembiapopyryva javo. Ymya pe ndekote'varuhui raikwehe. A'ero pe ypytunahivarupive'g̃a ja. A'ereki ypytunahiva rupi okorame ahe ndokwahavi. Pe na jitehe ndapekwahavi Tupana'ga pejikote'varuhuavo raikwehe. Aerẽ Tupana'ga pe mo'emo'ẽi tapepohi ti pejikote'varuhua hugwi javo. Ag̃wamo pe kojahuarupive'g̃a ja a'ero. A'ereki kojahua rupi okorame ahe okwaha. Na jitehe pe pekwaha Tupana'ga kiro pejikokatuavo. Tupana'ga kwahavame ko pyry hete.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ymya ko pe ndapekoi Tupana'gareheva'ero. Ag̃wamo ki a'e te pe peko gareheva'ero. Ymya pe ndapekwahavi Tupana'ga rembiporogwetyga. Ag̃wamo ki a'e te pe pekwaha a'ea Tupana'ga nhande porogwety javo.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Nhiirũ, ojipe'g̃a gwyri pe pe nduvi hajiheve'g̃a ja. A'e hete ji pe me a'ero: Tapepotaruhui ti pejikovo. A'ereki penemimbotaruhua pe mboheaporog̃ita te'varuhu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Peko katu ti g̃apyteri pe – kiroki g̃a ndojikogi Cristo'ga rehe. Amoamome g̃a pe mbotegwetei po oko te'varuhu g̃a javo tehe pe me. Emo pendekokatua repiagame po ti g̃a nhimombaragwahavi hehe nehẽ. 12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Tupana'ga opota pendekokatua tapemombi ti ikwahave'ỹve'g̃a nhi'ĩtehea.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Pepiro'y pe, na tuhẽ ti peko a'ero. A'erorame tehe ti tape'ei ti: “Tako te'varuhu ti kiro nhiremimbotarimo a'ero. A'ereki ji jipiro'y.” Tape'ei ti a'ea. Tupana'ga rembipojykaharamo pe peko. Garemimbotarimova'ea rehe ti peko a'ero.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Pendeaporog̃ita katu ti ojipe'g̃a ndehe nhaporemo. Pearõarõ ti penhirũ'g̃a. G̃a ojiko Cristo'ga rehe pe ja. Pepojihuve'ymi ti Tupana'ga. Pendeaporog̃ita katu ti penduvihavuhu'ga rehe no.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Peporavykyrame ojipe'g̃a pe pehendu katu ti g̃anhi'ig̃a penhiroyrõe'yma. Pehendu katu ti g̃anhi'ig̃a g̃a ndeaporog̃itakaturame pejihe nehẽ. G̃a ndekote'varuhurame pe me ti pehendu katu jitehe g̃anhi'ig̃a.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ombohahy tehe po g̃a pe me. Po pe nhimomiranami jupe Tupana'ga remimbotarimova'ea rehe pejikovo g̃waramo, a'ero po pyryvamo.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Po g̃a pe nupanupãi pe ndekote'varuhuro g̃waramo, a'ero po pe nhimomiranatehei. A'ereki pejikote'varuhuro g̃waramo pe pekwaha hahya. Po pejikokaturo g̃waramo pe ikwahavi hahya penhimomiranama jupe, a'ero po ti Tupana'ga imombyryvi pe me nehẽ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 A'ereki Tupana'ga e'i pe me: “Penhimomirana ti g̃a imbohahyrame pe me pejikokatua rehe,” ei ga. A'ereki Cristo'ga okwaha hahya pe ndepyga toho ti g̃a ji rupi javo ikwehe.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Ndokote'varuhuangavi Cristo'ga.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 G̃a ombotegweterame ga nombotegwetei g̃a ikwehe. G̃a imbohahyrame ga pe ga nde'i: “Ajipy po ti ji pe ndehe nehẽ,” nde'i ga. Ga onhikwava'ẽ reki Tupana'ga pe. A'ereki Tupana'ga e'i a'itituhẽva'ea rupi katu ite'varuhuve'g̃a pe. Ga e'i hupi katu pyryve'g̃a pe no.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo'ga tuhẽ gwereko nhanderekote'varuhua omanorame yva rehe. “Tipiro'y ti g̃a okote'varuhua hugwi,” ei ga, “toko ti g̃a Tupana'ga remimbotarimova'ea rehe kiro,” ei ga. Cristo'ga okwaha hahya omanomo nhande repyga. Nahã kiro pyry hete nhanderekoag̃wama.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ymya ko pe ndekoi ovelhas ja. Ovelhas oka'nhyka'nhy jipi ojipiakatuhara'ga hugwi okovo g̃wemimbotarimova'ea rehe. A'ero hepiakatuhara'ga herura'javi ovelhas rerekovo. 25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
