2 Cóq inha ham parnai Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng arớq acái két ham uq dơq tóh. Dyơ inha bôn chom arlớih lư loi te ngê Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng, alứng inha bôn tumống níc-níc;
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 co inha khoiq chim dyơ te callong sruiq táq te Ưlla he.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Cóq inha tớq nga Yê-su. Án la arớq búl tumống ticuoi khoiq adúh táh, ma Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng khoiq rêh búl ngki alứng án ayáu lư.
4 — ausente —
5 Cóq inha tớq alứng cơt arớq búl tumống ngki tưi, dyơ mŏp dyôn Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng ial tớc inha dŏq táq tanang dúng sang Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng. Iki inha cơt arớq ticuoi teng rit sang mmar dyôn Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng tớq dúng sang. Dyơ inha mŏp sang cứp nốh ndon Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng ính, co nhơ te Yê-su Crit.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Tớq tám uráq Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng te inớh khoiq tông idô:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Inha ndon khoiq tin dyơ, lư inha ayáu búl ngki, ma Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng khoiq tông te inớh te máh ticuoi ndon lớiq tin án idô:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Alứng parnai Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng tông idô hơ:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Te nsuoi inha lớiq bôn cơt top amớh, ma hoi-ndô inha la top Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng. Te nsuoi inha lớiq chom te Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng sáng sruiq táq inha, ma hoi-ndô inha chom án sruiq táq inha.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Em ai ơi! Inha la arớq ticuoi tumoi alứng arớq ticuoi át dơ tớq cúc cuteq ndô. Co iki, êq dyôn máh nốh sac sáiq báq ính, pul mít cannính inha.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

13 Cóq inha cammáng nhéq máh ticuoi sút tớq pang ndô, co Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng ính inha peh nha-án, díh puo ndon sút lư,

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Inha la tới ticuoi sol, ma inha êq cưm te callong ngki dyôn inha têq táq arnáq luaih. Cóq inha táq arớq sol dyôn Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.

19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Khán inha chiuq tanhir ngai táq inha co tian inha táq luaih, callong chiuq ngki Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng lớiq ayô amớh. Ma khán inha chiuq tanhir ngai táq inha, ma inha lớiq bôn táq luaih amớh, callong ngki lư bôn tarnáp chứng mát Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng khoiq arô inha dyôn chiuq tanhir nhéq nốh dieiq arức. Máh ngki tưi Crit chiuq dyôn inha; dyơ án cơt ngôl dŏq paryông he dyôn táq veng tapun án tưi.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Án lớiq bôn táq luaih alứng lớiq nai tông mui nốh a-uai amớh.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Tớq ngai ayê tar-ac án, án lớiq ôi lieh. Tớq ngai táq án, án lớiq cannốh amớh. Ma nưm án mŏp nga Yang Arbang-pilŏ́ng ndon tarsưq crái lư dyôn nhéq tưh ticuoi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Yê-su Crit chiuq dông tớq cháq án táp máh luaih he, ndóng án cuchet tớq along calláng. Án chiuq iki, dŏq têq he cơt cuchet te ngê tieq, la ngê ính táq luaih; dyơ he bôn tumống lieh tớq ngê tamme, la ngê ndon ính táq nưm arnáq tinớng ŏ. Co nhơ te cháq án chiuq bác chol, ngki inha cơt bánh lieh.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Te nsuoi, inha cơt arớq pannán cưu clu carna. Ma hoi-ndô, inha khoiq píh lieh nga án ndon kiaq bán arvai inha.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
