1 The Almighty Divine One, God of Gods, Jehovah has spoken. He has summoned the earth from where the sun rises to where it sets.
1 O S enhor , o Deus Poderoso, falou; convocou toda a humanidade, desde onde o sol nasce até onde se põe.
2 God shines from Zion. He is the perfection of beauty.
2 Do monte Sião, lugar de perfeita beleza, Deus resplandece.
3 Our God will come and will not keep silent. A devouring fire is in front of him and a raging storm is around him.
3 Nosso Deus se aproxima e não está em silêncio. Fogo devora tudo em seu caminho, e ao seu redor há uma grande tempestade.
4 He addresses summons heaven and earth to judge his people:
4 Ele convoca os céus em cima e a terra embaixo, para testemunharem o julgamento de seu povo.
5 »Gather around me, my godly ones who have made a covenant with me through sacrifices.«
5 “Tragam aqui os que me são fiéis, os que fizeram comigo uma aliança de oferta de sacrifícios.”
6 The heavens declare his righteousness because God is the judge.
6 Então, que os céus proclamem sua justiça, pois o próprio Deus será o juiz. Interlúdio
7 »Listen, my people, and I will speak. Hear O Israel, while I testify against you: I am God, your God!
7 “Ó meu povo, ouça o que direi, estas são minhas acusações contra você, ó Israel: Eu sou Deus, o seu Deus!
8 »I do not reprove you for your sacrifices or burnt offerings, which are constantly always in front of me.
8 Não o reprovo por seus sacrifícios, nem pelos holocaustos que sempre oferecem.
9 »But I will not accept another young bull from your household or a single male goat from your pens.
9 Não preciso, contudo, dos novilhos de seus estábulos, nem dos bodes de seus currais.
10 »Every living thing in the forest, even the cattle on a thousand hills, is mine.
10 Pois são meus todos os animais dos bosques, e sou dono do gado nos milhares de colinas.
11 »I know every bird in the mountains. Everything that moves in the fields is mine.
11 Conheço cada pássaro dos montes, e todos os animais dos campos me pertencem.
12 »If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and all that it contains are mine.
12 Se eu tivesse fome, não lhes diria, pois meu é o mundo inteiro e tudo que nele há.
13 »Do I eat the meat of bulls or drink the blood of male goats?
13 Acaso como a carne de touros ou bebo o sangue de bodes?
14 »Bring your thanks to God as a sacrifice, and pay make good your vows to the Most High.
14 Ofereçam a Deus seu sacrifício de gratidão e cumpram os votos que fizerem ao Altíssimo.
15 »Call on me in times of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me.«
15 Então clamem a mim em tempos de aflição; eu os livrarei, e vocês me darão glória.”
16 But God says to the wicked: »How dare you quote my decrees and mouth my covenant!
16 Ao perverso, porém, Deus diz: “De que adianta recitar meus decretos e falar a respeito de minha aliança?
17 »You hate discipline. You cast throw my words behind you.
17 Pois você recusa minha disciplina e trata minhas palavras como lixo.
18 »When you see a thief, you make friends with him. You keep company with people who commit adultery.
18 Quando vê ladrões, aprova o que fazem e passa seu tempo com adúlteros.
19 »You let your mouth speak evil. Your tongue plans deceit.
19 Sua boca está cheia de maldade, e sua língua, repleta de mentiras.
20 »You sit and talk against your own brother. You slander your own mother's son.
20 Vive a caluniar seu irmão, filho de sua própria mãe.
21 »When you did these things, I remained silent. That made you think I was like you. I will argue my point with you and lay it all out for you to see.
21 Enquanto você assim agia, permaneci calado, e você pensou que éramos iguais. Agora, porém, o repreenderei; contra você apresentarei minhas acusações.
22 »Consider this, you who do not remember God. Otherwise, I will tear you to pieces, and there will be no one to deliver.
22 Pensem bem e arrependam-se todos vocês que de mim se esquecem; caso contrário, eu os despedaçarei e ninguém os ajudará.
23 »Whoever offers thanks as a sacrifice honors me. I will let everyone who continues in my way see the salvation that comes from God.«
23 A gratidão, porém, é um sacrifício que de fato me honra; se permanecerem em meus caminhos, eu lhes revelarei a salvação de Deus”.
