1 Wisdom built her house. She carved her seven pillars.
1 A sabedoria edificou a sua casa, já lavrou os seus sete pilares,
2 She prepared her food and mixed her wine. She furnished her table.
2 já matou os seus animais; misturou o seu vinho; e já preparou a sua mesa.
3 She sent her maidens. She cried on the highest places of the city,
3 Já enviou suas criadas, ela clama dos lugares mais altos da cidade:
4 »Who is simple? Let him turn in here! He who lacks understanding,« she says to him,
4 Quem quer que seja simples, que se volte para cá; quanto àquele que carece de entendimento, ela lhe diz:
5 »Come eat my bread, and drink the wine that I have mixed.
5 Vem, come do meu pão, e bebe do vinho que eu tenho misturado.
6 »Forsake the foolish, and live. Travel in the way of understanding.«
6 Abandonai os tolos e vivei; e ide pelo caminho do entendimento.
7 Correct a scoffer and get dishonor for yourself. Rebuke a wicked man and receive insults.
7 Aquele que reprova o escarnecedor adquire vergonha para si; e o que repreende o homem ímpio adquire para si uma mancha.
8 Correct a scoffer mockerscorner and he will hate you. Reprove a wise man and he will love you.
8 Não reproves o escarnecedor, para que ele não te odeie; repreende o homem sábio, e ele te amará.
9 Give instruction to a wise man and he will become even wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning insight.
9 Dá instrução ao homem sábio, e ele será ainda mais sábio; ensina o homem justo e ele aumentará em entendimento.
10 Respect for Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge of the holy One is understanding discernmenttruthwisdom.
10 O temor do SENHOR é o princípio da sabedoria, e o conhecimento do santo é o entendimento.
11 I will increase your days. I will add more years to your life.
11 Porque por meu intermédio teus dias serão multiplicados, e anos da tua vida se aumentarão.
12 When you are wise you are wise for yourself. When you scoff you bear it alone.
12 Se fores sábio, para ti serás sábio; mas se escarneceres, somente tu o suportarás.
13 A foolish woman is noisy. She has no sense at all.
13 A mulher tola é espalhafatosa, ela é simples e nada sabe.
14 She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
14 Porque ela se assenta à porta de sua casa, sobre uma cadeira nos lugares altos da cidade,
15 to call those who pass by who go straight on their way:
15 para chamar os passageiros que andam correto em seus caminhos:
16 »Let the inexperienced naïve one come in here,« and to the person who lacks understanding she says:
16 Quem é simples, volte-se para cá; e quanto àquele que carece de entendimento, ela lhe diz:
17 »Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.«
17 As águas roubadas são doces, e o pão comido em secreto é agradável.
18 He does not know the dead are there. Her guests are in the depths of the grave.
18 Mas ele não sabe que os mortos estão lá, e que seus convidados estão nas profundezas do inferno.
