New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs ARA
1 Jehovah says: Go and buy a potter's earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests.
1 Assim diz o Senhor : Vai, compra uma botija de oleiro e leva contigo alguns dos anciãos do povo e dos anciãos dos sacerdotes;
2 Then go out to the valley of Ben-hinnom Hinnom Valley, which is by the entrance of the potsherd gate, and proclaim there the words that I tell you.
2 sai ao vale do filho de Hinom, que está à entrada da Porta do Oleiro, e apregoa ali as palavras que eu te disser;
3 Say: »Hear the word of Jehovah, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, »»Behold I am about to bring adversity upon this place. The ears of everyone who hears of it will quiver with fear.
3 e dize: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor , ó reis de Judá e moradores de Jerusalém. Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Eis que trarei mal sobre este lugar, e quem quer que dele ouvir retinir-lhe-ão os ouvidos.
4 »»This is because they have forsaken me. They have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods. These are gods that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known. They have filled this place with the blood of the blameless innocent.« «
4 Porquanto me deixaram e profanaram este lugar, queimando nele incenso a outros deuses, que nunca conheceram, nem eles, nem seus pais, nem os reis de Judá; e encheram este lugar de sangue de inocentes;
5 »They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal. This is not something I commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter my mind heartconscience.«
5 e edificaram os altos de Baal, para queimarem os seus filhos no fogo em holocaustos a Baal, o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem falei, nem me passou pela mente.
6 »»Therefore days are coming, declares Jehovah, when this place will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-hinnom, but rather the valley of Slaughter.
6 Por isso, eis que vêm dias, diz o Senhor , em que este lugar já não se chamará Tofete, nem vale do filho de Hinom, mas o vale da Matança.
7 »I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life. I will give their carcasses as food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth.
7 Porque dissiparei o conselho de Judá e de Jerusalém neste lugar e os farei cair à espada diante de seus inimigos e pela mão dos que procuram tirar-lhes a vida; e darei o seu cadáver por pasto às aves dos céus e aos animais da terra.
8 »I will also make this city a desolation and an object of hissing. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss because of all its disasters.
8 Porei esta cidade por espanto e objeto de assobios; todo aquele que passar por ela se espantará e assobiará, por causa de todas as suas pragas.
9 »I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they will eat one another's flesh in the siege and in the distress with which their enemies and those who seek their life will cause them.«
9 Fá-los-ei comer as carnes de seus filhos e as carnes de suas filhas, e cada um comerá a carne do seu próximo, no cerco e na angústia em que os apertarão os seus inimigos e os que buscam tirar-lhes a vida.
10 »Then you are to break the jar in the sight of the men who accompany you.
10 Então, quebrarás a botija à vista dos homens que foram contigo
11 »Say to them: Jehovah of Hosts says: »Like this I will break this people and this city. It is just like one breaks a potter's vessel that cannot again be repaired. They will bury in Topheth because there is no other place for burial.«
11 e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Deste modo quebrarei eu este povo e esta cidade, como se quebra o vaso do oleiro, que não pode mais refazer-se, e os enterrarão em Tofete, porque não haverá outro lugar para os enterrar.
12 »This is how I will treat this place and its inhabitants,declares Jehovah, I will make this city like Topheth.
12 Assim farei a este lugar, diz o Senhor , e aos seus moradores; e farei desta cidade um Tofete.
13 »The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be defiled like Topheth. They burned sacrifices to the heavenly hosts and poured out drink offerings to other gods on the rooftops of all of their houses.«
13 As casas de Jerusalém e as casas dos reis de Judá serão imundas como o lugar de Tofete; também todas as casas sobre cujos terraços queimaram incenso a todo o exército dos céus e ofereceram libações a outros deuses.
14 Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where Jehovah had sent him to prophesy. He stood in the court of Jehovahs house and said to all the people:
14 Voltando, pois, Jeremias de Tofete, lugar para onde o enviara o Senhor a profetizar, se pôs em pé no átrio da Casa do Senhor e disse a todo o povo:
15 »Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel says: I am about to bring on this city and all its towns the entire disaster that I have declared against it. This is because they have stiffened their necks vigorously resisted so as not to heed my words.«
15 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Eis que trarei sobre esta cidade e sobre todas as suas vilas todo o mal que pronunciei contra ela, porque endureceram a cerviz, para não ouvirem as minhas palavras.
