1 I was living among the exiles by the Chebar River. On the fifth day of the fourth month in the thirtieth year the figurative heaven opened and I saw visions from God.
1 Era o quinto dia do quarto mês do trigésimo ano, e eu estava entre os exilados, junto ao rio Quebar. Abriram-se os céus, e eu tive visões de Deus.
2 On the fifth day of the month during the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiakin,
2 Foi no quinto ano do exílio do rei Joaquim, no quinto dia do quarto mês.
3 The word of Jehovah spoke to Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi. It was in Babylon by the Chebar River. The power of Jehovah came upon him.
3 A palavra do Senhor veio ao sacerdote Ezequiel, filho de Buzi, junto ao rio Quebar, na terra dos caldeus. Ali a mão do Senhor esteve sobre ele.
4 I saw a storm coming from the north. There was an immense cloud with flashing lightning surrounded by a bright light. The center of the lightning looked like glowing metal.
4 Olhei e vi uma tempestade que vinha do norte: uma nuvem imensa, com relâmpagos e faíscas, e cercada por uma luz brilhante. O centro do fogo parecia metal reluzente,
5 In the center of the cloud I saw what looked like four living creatures. They were shaped like humans.
5 e no meio do fogo havia quatro vultos que pareciam seres viventes. Na aparência tinham forma de homem,
6 Each of them had four faces and four wings.
6 mas cada um deles tinha quatro rostos e quatro asas.
7 Their legs were straight. Their feet were like those of calves and they glittered like polished copper.
7 Suas pernas eram retas; seus pés eram como os de um bezerro e reluziam como bronze polido.
8 They had human hands under their wings on each of their four sides. All four of them had faces and wings.
8 Debaixo de suas asas, nos quatro lados, tinham mãos humanas. Os quatro tinham rostos e asas,
9 Their wings touched each other. The creatures went straight ahead and they did not turn as they moved.
9 e as suas asas encostavam umas nas outras. Quando se moviam andavam para a frente, e não se viravam.
10 Their faces looked like this: From the front, each creature had the face of a human. From the right side, each one had the face of a lion. From the left, each one had the face of a bull. And from the back, each one had the face of an eagle.
10 Quanto à aparência dos seus rostos, os quatro tinham rosto de homem, rosto de leão no lado direito, rosto de boi no lado esquerdo, e rosto de águia.
11 That is what their faces looked like. Their wings were spread out and pointed upward. Each creature had two wings with which they touched each other. The other two wings covered their bodies.
11 Assim eram os seus rostos. Suas asas estavam estendidas para cima; cada um deles tinha duas asas que se encostavam na de outro ser vivente, de um lado e do outro, e duas asas que cobriam os seus corpos.
12 Each of the creatures went straight ahead. They went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn as they moved.
12 Cada um deles ia sempre para a frente. Para onde quer que fosse o Espírito eles iam, e não se viravam quando se moviam.
13 The living creatures looked like burning coals and torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures. The fire was bright and lightning came out of the fire.
13 Os seres viventes pareciam carvão aceso; eram como tochas. O fogo ia de um lado a outro entre os seres viventes, e do fogo saíam relâmpagos e faíscas.
14 The living creatures ran back and forth like lightning.
14 Os seres viventes iam e vinham como relâmpagos.
15 As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each of them, with its four faces.
15 Enquanto eu olhava para eles, vi uma roda ao lado de cada um deles, diante dos seus quatro rostos.
16 This is how the wheels looked and how they were made: They looked like beryl chrysoliteprecious stones. All four wheels looked the same. They looked like a wheel within a wheel.
16 Esta era a aparência das rodas e a sua estrutura: Reluziam como o berilo; e as quatro tinham aparência semelhante. Cada roda parecia estar entrosada na outra.
17 When they moved, they moved in any of the four directions without turning as they moved.
17 Quando se moviam, seguiam nas quatro direções dos quatro rostos, e não se viravam enquanto iam.
18 The rims of the wheels were large and frightening. They were covered with eyes.
18 Seus aros eram altos e impressionantes e estavam cheios de olhos ao redor.
19 When the living creatures moved the wheels moved with them. When the living creatures rose from the earth, the wheels also rose.
19 Quando os seres viventes se moviam, as rodas ao seu lado se moviam; e, quando se elevavam do chão, as rodas também se elevavam.
20 Wherever the spirit wanted to go the creatures went. The wheels rose with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
20 Para onde quer que o Espírito fosse, os seres viventes iam, e as rodas os seguiam, porque o mesmo Espírito estava nelas.
21 When the creatures moved, the wheels moved. When the creatures stood still, the wheels stood still. And when the creatures rose from the earth, the wheels rose with them. This is because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 Quando os seres viventes se moviam, elas também se moviam; quando eles ficavam imóveis, elas também ficavam; e quando os seres viventes se elevavam do chão, as rodas também se elevavam com eles, porque o mesmo Espírito deles estava nelas.
22 Something like a dome was spread over the heads of the living creatures. It looked like dazzling crystal.
22 Acima das cabeças dos seres viventes estava o que parecia uma abóboda, reluzente como gelo, e impressionante.
23 Under the dome, each creature had two wings that were stretched out straight, touching one another. Each creature had two wings that covered its body.
23 Debaixo dela cada ser vivente estendia duas asas ao que lhe estava mais próximo, e com as outras duas asas cobria o corpo.
24 When the creatures moved I heard the sound of their wings. The sound was like the noise of rushing water. It was like the thunder voice of the Almighty. It was like the commotion in an army camp. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings.
24 Ouvi o ruído de suas asas quando voavam. Parecia o ruído de muitas águas, parecia a voz do Todo-poderoso. Era um ruído estrondoso, como o de um exército. Quando paravam, fechavam as asas.
25 A voice came from above the dome over their heads as they stood still with their wings lowered.
25 Então veio uma voz de cima da abóboda sobre as suas cabeças, enquanto eles ficavam de asas fechadas.
26 Above the dome over their heads was something that looked like a throne made of sapphire. On the throne was a figure that looked like a human.
26 Acima da abóboda sobre as suas cabeças havia o que parecia um trono de safira, e, bem no alto, sobre o trono, havia uma figura que parecia um homem.
27 Then I saw what he looked like from the waist up. He looked like glowing copper with fire all around it. From the waist down he looked like fire. A bright light surrounded him.
27 A parte de cima do que parecia ser a cintura dele, vi que parecia metal brilhante, como que cheia de fogo, e que a parte de baixo parecia fogo; e uma luz brilhante o cercava.
28 The brightness all around him looked like a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day. It was the likeness of Jehovahs glory. When I saw it I immediately fell down with my face to the ground. I heard someone speaking.
28 Tal como a aparência do arco-íris nas nuvens de um dia chuvoso, assim era o resplendor ao seu redor. Essa era a aparência da figura da glória do Senhor. Quando a vi, prostrei-me com o rosto em terra, e ouvi a voz de alguém falando.
