1 Kʋ mʋ̀ yɩrɩ, á lɩa á tɩ̀àn wʋlʋŋʋ, də gɩgɩra yiri mama wa. Á dànà ká ya níə́ bələ tɩ̀án. Á dànà ká zɩga lɩ̀à duən nə, kʋ tɩ̀án wiən yɩrɩ. Á dànà ká swɩ̀n yolwan á pa lɩ̀à nə.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Á yana ndə bìsɩ̀nɩ́ nə, ba nə lʋrɩ sɩ́ʋ́n, ba ga pɩ̀à yɩlɩ máŋá mama. Á mʋ̀ yɩlɩ nə yɩ Yɩɩ sʋgʋ tə. Kʋ yɩ yɩlɩ tə, won nə wà kʋ waa gùlí. Kʋ mʋ̀ nə wá pa á boru, kʋ ga wá pa Yɩɩ jon aba, á cʋna tə wa.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Á cɩ́gá nɩ də, *Yuu-Tiu ywán zəni, ndə kʋ nə swɩ̀n nətʋ, Yɩɩ sagɩ tə wa.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Á dàń fàrá á yí *Yuu-Tiu yɩra. Ʋ yɩ lìù tə, ʋ pɩn mɩɩ. Ʋ yɩ ndə kapan wárɩ́ nə. Ləzoni vɩga wá ba dʋgʋ, ndə wotʋtʋ nə. Yá Yɩɩ kúrí wá ʋ tún, ʋ ga jə funə zənzən, ʋ mʋ̀ Yɩɩ yáá con.

5 Á də yana ndə kapana tə nə, tə nə nəŋə, sə Yɩɩ tì aba, ʋ ma lwà dìə̀, ʋ pa ʋ *Siŋu tə nə. Kʋ twá də Zwezi-*Kərisə, á dàń wá ya ʋ mʋ̀ cɩcɩ *joŋwana kʋ dìə̀ tə wa, sə á twá Yɩɩ-Siŋu tə á tʋn á pa Yɩɩ nə, ndə *joŋi nə á pɩn wá. Yá kʋ nətʋ tə poli Yɩɩ pùə́.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kʋ pʋ́pʋ́nɩ́ Yɩɩ sagɩ tə wa, kʋ wʋ́:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Á mʋ̀ lɩ̀à tə, á nə ken á waa kʋ nə, kʋ yɩ won tə, kʋ nə pɩn á jə dun zənzən. Yá kʋ tà nətʋ lɩ̀à tə con, ba nə wà ba waa ken kʋ nə. Kʋ pʋ́pʋ́nɩ́ Yɩɩ sagɩ tə wa, kʋ wʋ́:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Kʋ yɩ ba nə wà Yɩɩ sʋgʋ tə nii sɛ̀e yɩrɩ. Yɩɩ nə ken, sə kʋ ya nətʋ ba yɩra.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Yá á mʋ̀ dàń yɩ dwíí tə, Yɩɩ nə kúrí. Á yɩ *joŋwana púlí tə, á nə tʋŋa á pɩn ʋ mʋ̀ pɩ̀ʋ́ tə nə. Á dwíí tə ya Yɩɩ cɩcɩ nə tɩ. Á yɩ Yɩɩ tətə púlí ʋ nə tún. Ʋ kúrí aba, sə á swɩ̀n yìə̀n nəfaran tə, ʋ nə fwa, á bɩrɩ lɩ̀à nə. Ʋ yɩ lìù tə, ʋ kúrí aba, ʋ lɩ yikunu wa, ʋ kə ʋ poni nəfarʋ tə wa.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Dí yáá nə, á yà tà Yɩɩ púlí, ʋ nə tún. Yá sɩ́ʋ́n nə, á dàń yɩ Yɩɩ nə tɩ. Dí yáá nə, Yɩɩ yà wà á yinəgə zənzən dəri. Yá sɩ́ʋ́n nə, Yɩɩ dàń dəri á yinəgə zənzən.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 À nubisoni-ba, á lie á tɩ̀àn də, á yɩ vərə tɩa yuu wa. Yá á ga yɩ lɩ̀à tə, á nə lɛ. Kʋ mʋ̀ tə yɩrɩ, à dàń kwè aba, sə á lɩ á tɩ̀àn yìə̀n tə wa, tə nə yɩ ləzwənə pùə́ yokʋkwɩnan fɩra. Tə yìə̀n təntə yàá kəni dɩ̀àn, sə tə cʋ̀gʋ̀ aba.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Á pɩan á tʋtʋnɛɛ mama ya zəni, lɩ̀à tə nə tà Kərisə lɩ̀à yáá con. Á nə jə á tɩ̀àn zəni, ba nə swə ba swɩ̀n də á fwa lwanɩ, ba wá na á tʋtʋnzəŋə tə, á nə tʋŋa. Yá ba dàń wá bʋ Yɩɩ nə, dɩɩn tə nə, ʋ nə wá bà.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Á tàà *Yuu-Tiu yɩrɩ, á sɛ̀e lɩ̀à tə mama nii, ləzoni nə lɩ ba tún, sə ba yà á yun tɩ̀án. Á sɩ̀á pɩ̀ʋ́ tə nii, ʋ nə jə̀ə́ á lʋʋ nii pɛ̀egá tə mɛ yuu wa.
13 — ausente —
14 Á sɩ̀á yáá tɩ̀án tə nii, pɩ̀ʋ́ nəfarʋ tə nə lɩ ʋ tún. Ʋ yɩ ʋ tún ba, sə ba kə lɩ̀à tə, ba nə fwa kʋ tə nə lwara, càn wa. Yá ba ga bʋ lɩ̀à tə nə, ba nə fwa kʋ tə nə ziən.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Yɩɩ fɩra tə yɩ, sə á fwa kʋ tə nə ziən, sə ləyərən tə, də lɩ̀à tə, ba nə ba yənu jə, ba ga cəgə aba, pú ba níə́.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Á yana lɩ̀à tə, á nə tɩ á tɩ̀àn, Yá á dànà ká tàà á nə tɩ á tɩ̀àn tə yɩrɩ, á fwa lwanɩ lìù yɩra. Á dàń mɛ, sə á ya ndə nətʋ Yɩɩ tʋ̀tʋ̀nà nə mɛ, sə ba ya.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Á pɩan dun lìù mama nə. Á swə́nə́ á duən Kərisə lɩ̀à tə. Á zìlə́ Yɩɩ zənzən. Á pɩan dun pɩ̀ʋ́ tə nə.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ywəŋə-ba, á sɩ̀á lɩ̀à tə nii, ba nə yə̀ aba. Á zìlə́ ba zənzən. Á dànà ká fwa kʋ, ba tə cɩcɩ yɩra, ba nə jə aba də bɩcabwanʋ. Á fwa kʋ ba tə də yɩra, ba yoo nə dà.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Lìù wàá càn ʋ də́, ʋ nə zìlí Yɩɩ yɩrɩ, ʋ ga wà won fwa, kʋ nə ba ziən. Kʋ tíú nə sɛ̀e, ʋ də́ tə càn tə, kʋ yɩ Yɩɩ pubwanʋ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ba nə fɩrɩ aba á yolwana yɩrɩ, á nə fwa, kʋ ba dun jə kʋ pa aba. Yá kʋ dàń nə yɩ zəni nə, á fwa, ba ga kə càn á nə, yá á pɩ́nɩ́ á də́ tə, kʋ yɩ Yɩɩ pubwanʋ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Zwezi-*Kərisə tətə nə dí càn, ʋ pa aba. Ʋ fwa kʋ nyɩnyɩga, ʋ bɩrɩ aba, sə á ma wànɩ́ á fwa, ndə ʋ nə. Yɩɩ kúrí aba, sə á də́ càn nətʋ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ʋ yɩ lìù tə, ʋ nə wà cʋna fwa. Ʋ ga yɩ lìù tə, kʋnkʋn nə wà ʋ nii wa nan.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ba nə twɩn wá, ʋ wà ba twɩn, ʋ ma ŋwɩ́n. Ba ken wá càn wa, ʋ wà ba nii nə ba. Ʋ tì ʋ tɩ̀àn, ʋ kə Yɩɩ jɩ̀àn wa. Yá Yɩɩ nə bʋ̀rɩ̀ bʋ̀rà, kʋ nə yɩ cɩ́gá.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Zwezi-Kərisə tətə nə zɩn nə cʋna tə ʋ yuu wa, ʋ ja tɩ dagarʋ tə yuu wa. Ʋ fwa kʋ, sə nə ya lɩ̀à tə, nə nə lɩ nə tɩ̀àn cʋna wa. Ʋ fwa kʋ, sə nə ya mɩɩ wa, nə ga fwa yìə̀n tə, tə nə yɩ cɩ́gá. Kʋ twá ʋ nʋran tə nə, á nʋran tə ma zwɛ̀e.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Cɩ́gá, á yà yɩ ndə pee nə, tə ywaŋa. Yá sɩ́ʋ́n nə, á pìí á bà á twá lìù tə nə, ʋ nə cɩ̀ á nə, ʋ ga ywàŋá á yuu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
