1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 «'Yele‑ ꞊kla mɛɛ mu gaan 'sanpɛ‑ 'le,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 'Bhɛɛ‑ 'duŋ‑, 'ka mu ‑le ‑Waanbhaa' 'si 'la makwan‑ 'bhɛ 'le. 'Ka mu ‑o 'sraka 'lɛna ‑bhleŋgbe mu 'le, 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ka mu ‑o ‑yaa' 'si 'weŋ 'la 'kpale‑ ‑o 'edaŋma 'bhɛ 'le, 'kooko‑ 'kaa klɛza 'lrele‑ ‑gbɛnɛ mu 'ɛ wo mɛɛ mu ni. ‑E 'ka 'siila‑ dɔɔ 'ka go ‑gblo mu 'ɛ 'yi 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ka 'nu ‑yaa' 'tɛbhile ‑lrele' 'ɛ ba.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 'Elwale, 'ka 'laa ‑yaa 'ke ‑Waanbhaa' a pɛ mɛɛ mu 'le, 'duŋ‑ 'ka ꞊kla ‑zɔn ‑yaa' pɛ mɛɛ mu 'le. 'Elwale, 'ka 'yrɛn 'laa ‑yaa ꞊kla ‑Waanbhaa' ma, 'duŋ‑ ‑zɔn 'ka 'yrɛnkla‑ ‑a ma.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 'Ŋ 'yiɛnii mu, 'ka ‑o 'cie mu 'pegee 'taa ta ge mu 'le 'drunyan 'lɛɛ‑ 'yi ‑gɛ. 'Bhɛla‑ ‑zayile, 'mi ‑o 'sromabɔ 'zi 'ka ni dɔɔ ‑ka 'ploo 'kaa‑ bhaaplɛŋ zru maza mu klɛle ma. 'Woo‑ bhaaplɛŋya zru maza mu 'ɛ 'wole‑ gwledan 'ka 'gbu ba.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 ‑Ka 'taawo mɛɛ 'la zan mu laa ‑Waanbhaa' dɔ 'mu pleŋ‑ 'elrele. 'Ke 'ka 'bhɛ ꞊kla, 'ali‑ 'ke ‑o bhla 'kpa zii' 'ka ma dɔɔ 'ka ‑o ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ klɛ 'zi, 'ke ‑Waanbhaa' ꞊nwa ‑o ‑si 'ɛ 'yi yi 'la 'le, ‑o nu 'ka klɛza ‑lrele' mu 'ɛ 'yelɛ‑ 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑o nu ‑Waanbhaa' 'tɔbhɔlɛ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Mɛɛzan ‑zayi', ‑ka 'ka ŋgblo 'kpala bhaaplɛŋ mu a ‑kuŋliiya 'tɔle ‑kuŋliiya 'bhɛ ꞊la: ‑ka 'ka 'gbu ŋgblo 'kpala ‑bhleŋgbe ꞊la, Mɛɛzan ‑zayi', 'yela‑ 'kpaale‑ ‑o mɔkpɛn' 'wiiŋ‑.

14 'Bhɛɛ‑ ‑ka 'ka ŋgblo 'kpala 'ka ta ‑janmatii mu 'ɛ ꞊la. 'Yee‑ ‑bhleŋgbe 'ɛ 'yele‑ ‑o winbɔ 'kaa ‑o ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ klɛ mu 'ɛ 'krowo, 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑o ‑za 'wlan klɛ mu 'ɛ 'tɔbhɔ‑.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 ‑Amasrɔyi, ‑Waanbhaa' ‑a zi 'bhii‑ 'ka ‑za 'wlan klɛ, 'kooko‑ mɛɛ 'la zan laa wlan 'ɛ dɔ 'mu 'pegee ‑zadɔkle mu 'ɛ 'ka 'mu 'liitan‑.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 ‑Waanbhaa' 'ka klɛlawoa ꞊klɔ mu 'le bhe, 'ka 'laa 'tolɛ‑ 'ke 'ka bo ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ klɛle ma 'kaa‑ bole 'ka 'gbu ma 'ɛ 'bhɛ 'tɔ 'yi. 'Bhɛɛ‑ 'duŋ‑, ‑ka 'taawo 'elrele 'bhii‑ ‑Waanbhaa' a yewonɛ mu.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 ‑Ka mɔkpɛn' 'lɛdɔ‑ ‑a ma, 'ka nɛɛnɛ‑ mu 'ɛ ‑za 'sɔ 'ka ni, 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑ka ‑gblaan' ‑Waanbhaa' 'lɛɛ, 'bhɛ 'pegee ‑ka ‑bhleŋgbe 'ɛ 'lɛdɔ‑ ‑a ma.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Yewonɛ mu, ‑ka 'ka ŋgblo 'kpala 'ka ta ‑kuŋlii mu 'ɛ ꞊la, 'ke 'ka ‑gasikpa ‑o ‑lɛɛ 'egbɛnɛle. 'Ka 'laa 'ka ŋgblo 'kpaalɛ‑ 'kɛ mu 'la 'mu ‑o 'ewlanle, 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ke 'mu 'yi ‑o 'edɔɔle 'mu do ‑kplɛn ‑la ꞊la. 'Ali‑ 'kɛ mu 'la 'mu a ‑za ‑o 'eglɔɔle ‑ka 'ka ŋgblo 'kpala 'mu ꞊la 'ezin‑.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Wlan 'gbu 'ɛ ni, 'ke ‑o ‑yrɛnkpa' zii' 'ka ta bhaama, 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ke 'ka ‑o 'mu ‑yrɛn mu 'ɛ 'yikun zii' 'kaa‑ ‑gasikpale ma ‑Waanbhaa' ‑lɛɛ 'bhɛ ‑zayi', 'bhɛ ‑o 'ke ‑za 'lrele‑ le ‑Waanbhaa ‑yrɛ 'yi.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Wlan 'ɛ ni, 'ke 'ka ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ ꞊kla, 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑o 'ka 'krowoa‑ 'bhɛ ‑zayi', 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ke 'ka ‑o 'bhɛ ‑yrɛn 'ɛ 'yikun zii', ‑trɔn 'laa ‑o 'bhɛ ma. 'Bhɛɛ‑ 'duŋ‑, 'ke 'ka ‑za 'wlan ꞊kla, 'bhɛɛ‑ 'ke ‑woo ‑yrɛnkpa' zii' 'ka ta, 'bhɛ ‑o 'ke ‑za 'lrele‑ do 'le ‑Waanbhaa' ‑yrɛ 'yi.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 ‑Waanbhaa' ‑kɔɔ' 'siila‑ ‑yrɛn 'yikunle ‑la ma. ‑Amasrɔyi, Krisi 'gbu ‑yrɛnbhla 'ka mu ni, 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑e 'bhɛ ꞊kla 'bhɛ gbɛɛn‑ bhe, 'kooko‑ 'ka 'ka kpa 'yee‑ ma ‑yrɛn 'yikunle 'le.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Yaa ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ do 'kpɔ klɛlɛ ‑lido', 'bhɛɛ‑ bhla laa dalɛ ‑a ‑lii ‑titi.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 ‑Wa ‑zwanwoa, 'bhɛɛ‑ yaa 'bhɛ ‑zwanwo' 'ɛ zigolɛ 'ke ‑zwanwo' 'bhɛɛke 'le. ‑O ‑yrɛnkpaa ‑a ta, yaa 'duŋ‑ ‑gblaan 'klalɛ‑ mɛɛ 'la zan mu ‑yrɛnkpaa ‑a ta 'mu 'yi. Drɔɔn' ‑Waanbhaa' 'la mɛɛ mu 'kitikan ‑lɛdɔɔleya ma, ‑e ‑yaa' ‑za 'ɛ 'kpɛn gbɛkpaa‑ 'bhɛ 'kɔɔ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Zesu Krisi 'gbu ‑le ‑kɔɔa' ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ mu 'kwe ꞊sia ‑a 'gbu 'flɛ 'yi ‑yrigbɛɛle 'ɛ ta. ‑E 'bhɛ ꞊kla, 'kooko‑ ‑kɔɔ' ga ‑za 'yɔɔ‑ ba ‑yrɛ ta, 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑kɔɔ' bo ‑kɔɔ' 'yrɛ ma ‑lɛdɔɔleya ma ‑Waanbhaa' ‑yrɛ 'yi. 'Ka mu ‑bheela 'yela‑ a ‑yrɛnbhlele ma.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Wlan 'gbu 'ɛ ni, 'ka 'yaa‑ 'bhii‑ ‑bhlaa mu 'la 'mu 'la ꞊nia 'mu gbɛɛn‑; 'bhɛɛ‑ ‑zɔn, 'ka ꞊kla 'bhii 'ka 'niinaa‑ 'ka gooba mi 'ɛ ba. 'Bhɛ ‑le 'bhɛ 'yrɛkpa‑ zii' 'ka ba yikpɛnsee ta.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
