1 Yacan cuenda na̱coo ndo tandɨhɨ nuu tsa caquiñi. Ña ja̱ndavi ñaha ndo tsi nyɨvɨ, ña ja̱ha ndo tyin vaha ndo tan ña nditsa, ña nyi̱yo iñi ndo nyehe ndo tsa iyó tsi inga nyɨvɨ, ña ca̱han ca ndo cuendu.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ja̱vaha ndo tumaa javahá lee, tyin lee tsa ndi cacú nanducú tsi tsa caxin tsi, tacan taahán tucu tsi nanducu nyooho tuhun Nyoo tyin juvin tsi cua jacuahnu tsi ndo tan nacoto vaha ca ndo tsi Nyoo nda cuanda ndɨhɨ cacu ndo,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 tun nditsa tyin tsitó ndo tyin Jutu Mañi yo, vaha xaan ra cuví ra.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Cu̱nyaa naa ndo tsi Jutu Mañi yo. Tyin juvin ra cuví yuu nyito tsa ña cuñí nyɨvɨ cuatyiñu ñi. Maa tyin Nyoo nacatsi̱ ra tsi Jutu Mañi yo tyin juvin ra cuví yuu sɨɨ caá tsa yahvi nyaá tsa cuenda ra.

5 Tatun nyaa naa vaha yo tsi ra Cristo, cua cuví yo tumaa iin vehe tyin maa Nyoo cuví ra tumaa ra javahá vehe. Cu̱hva ndo tsa jandu iin Nyoo tsi ndo tsihin ra Cristo tyin tun tsa nyaa naa vaha ndo tsi ra, cua cuvi ndo tumaa ra jutu tsa javahá maa ñi tyiñu Nyoo. Cua jacahnu ndo tsi ra tan sɨɨ xaan cua cuñi ra.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Tyin catyí tucu nu tutu ra tyehen:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Maa tyin tsa cuenda yoo tsa tsinú iñi tsi ra Cristo, ra cuví yuu can, tsiñí ñuhu xaan ra tsi yo. Tan tsa cuenda nyɨvɨ tsa ña tsinú iñi tsi ra, cuví ra tumaa iin yuu tsa caahán Nyoo tuhun nu tutu ra tan catyí tsi tyehen:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Tan catyí tucu tsi:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Maa tyin nyooho cuví ndo nyɨvɨ nacatsi̱ maa Nyoo. Tan cuví ndo tumaa jutu tyin javahá ndo tyiñu nuu ra tyin juvin ra ndacá ñaha tsi yo. Tan cuví ndo nyɨvɨ ii ityi nuu ra tan cuví ndo nyɨvɨ maa ra, tacan tan cahan ndo tuhun vaha tsa javahá ra. Tyin juvin ra tava̱ tsi yo nu naa tan tyihi̱ ra tsi yo nu nditsin tan nu sɨɨ caá.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tsa ndi cumañi ca cuvi ndo nyɨvɨ Nyoo, nduve yahvi nyaá ndo. Maa tyin vityin nyɨvɨ Nyoo cuví ndo. Quɨvɨ can yoñi cundaahvi̱ iñi tsi ndo, maa tyin vityin Nyoo cundaahví iñi ra tsi ndo.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Yañi, cuñí xaan yu tsi ndo, tan caahán ndahvi yu tsihin ndo tumaa tsa ñavin ca ra ñuhu ñayɨvɨ cuví ndo, tyin nda gloria cuví ñuu ndo. Yacan cuenda ña ja̱vaha ndo cuhva cuñí cuñu ñuhu ndo. Tyin cañí tahan cuñu ñuhu ndo tsihin añima ndo.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ja̱ha cuenda ndo tsi ndo nu iyó ndo tyañu nyɨvɨ tsa ña tsitó tsi Nyoo. Tyin vasu caahán ñi ndavaha ñi sɨquɨ ndo, tan catyí ñi tyin ña vaha ndo, maa tyin quɨvɨ quitsi nyehe Nyoo tyiñu javahá yo cua nyehe ñi tyin vaha tsa javahá ndo tan cua jacahnu ñi tsi Nyoo.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Tya̱a yahvi ndo tsi ra cumí tyiñu nu iyó ndo tsa cuenda tsa cuñí ndo tsi Nyoo. Tya̱a yahvi ndo tsi ra cumí tyiñu, a cuví ra rey cahnu ca,

14 a iin ra jaquitsi̱ ra rey tyin tatsi tuñi ra tsi ra iyó cuatyi naha ra tan naquihin ndaahvi ra tsi yoo tsa javahá tsa vaha.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Tyin Nyoo cuñí ra tsa javaha yo maa ñi maa tsa vaha tyin tacan tan ña ñihi ca nyɨvɨ soho tan nyɨvɨ ña tsitó náa cahan ñi sɨquɨ yo.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Co̱o ndo tumaa iyó nyɨvɨ tsa iyó nuña, maa tyin ñavin tsa tacan coo nuña ndo tan javaha ndo tsa ña vaha. Ja̱vaha ndo tyiñu nuu Nyoo tyin cuví ndo musu ra.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Ja̱ha ndo tsa ñayɨvɨ tsi tandɨhɨ ñi nyɨvɨ. Cu̱ñi ndo tsi ñi yɨhɨ́ cuenda Nyoo. Ja̱ha ndo tsa ñayɨvɨ tsi ra ndacá ñaha, tyin Nyoo nyehé ra tandɨhɨ tsa javahá yo.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Nyooho tsa cuví musu, cu̱hva ndo tsa cundaca ñaha tsitoho ndo tsi ndo, tya̱a yahvi ndo tsi ra naha, vasu xaan ra naha a vasu vaha iñi ra naha.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Tyin tatun cunyeé iñi yo nyehé yo tundoho tsa janyehé nyɨvɨ tsi yo tsa cuenda tsa javahá yo tsa vaha nu Nyoo, cua tsaa can nuu ra.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Maa tyin tatun tatsí tuñi nyɨvɨ tsi ndo tsa cuenda tsa javahá ndo tsa ña vaha tan cunyee iñi ndo nyehe ndo tundoho, nduve náa catyi. Maa tyin tatun ña cundɨhɨ iñi ndo tan cunyee iñi ndo nyehé ndo tundoho tsa cuenda tsa javahá ndo tsa vaha, yacan cuví tsa vaha nuu Nyoo.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Tumaa tsa nyehe̱ maa ra Cristo tundoho tsa cuenda yo, tacan taahán tsi cunyee iñi yo nyehe yo tundoho tyin tsa cuenda yacan cana̱ Nyoo tsi yo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ra Cristo ndi intuhun cuatyi ña javaha̱ ra. Tan ndi iin tsaha tan ña jandavi̱ ñaha ra tsi nyɨvɨ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Quɨvɨ jacuñi̱ nyaa ñi tsi ra, ña jacuñi̱ nyaa ra tsi ñi. Quɨvɨ tsa janyehe̱ ñi tundoho tsi ra ña jayuhvi̱ ra tsi ñi. Tyin intuhun ñi maa Nyoo cuví ra tuhvá jacutuñi tsi nyɨvɨ tsihin tsa ndaa tan tsihin tsa nditsa. Yacan cuenda natyaa̱ ra tsi ra ndaha Nyoo.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Tyin cuhva tsa ticaá ra Cristo nu cruu can, tsicoso̱ tandɨhɨ cuii maa cuatyi yo tsata ra. Tacan cuvi̱ tyin tacan tan ña javaha ca yo cuatyi, tan coo yo ñayɨvɨ cuɨtɨ. Tyin tsihin tsa ñicueehe̱ ra, tan nduvaha̱ yo.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Tyin quɨvɨ can tsica̱ nuu yo cuvi̱ yo tumaa mbee tsa ndoo̱ ihñi, tsa nduve tsitoho. Maa tyin vityin nacuhva̱ cuenda yo tsi yo tsi ra Cristo, tan jahá cuenda ra añima yo. Cuví ra ityi nuu tsihin yo.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
